  1. I see Rodgers says that it was a good decision from the linesman as Ramsey's 'shirt was offside'. To be fair, I thought one of his nasal hairs was offside too.
  2. Liverpool have only had 30 odd % possession but have had four times as many attempts on goal than Arsenal.
  3. I see the football authorities have confirmed that the Liverpool goal against Bournemouth should have been given offside.
  4. When a manager makes a substitution 5 minutes from time it is usually to try and waste a bit of time or disrupt the flow of play of the opposition, particularly if it is to protect a lead. When losing 2 - 0, presumably a manager makes a substitution for tactical reasons, if so, surely you have to allow more than 5 minutes for it to have some effect? The substitution by Martinez was a complete waste of time with absolutely no logic.
  5. Steve, sorry I missed this post. I started with computers in 1967 (mainframes) so I had a head start. These days I don't bother with the technical aspects just want something that does what I want it to do!
  6. Didn't take England long to revert to form. Cook wins the toss and makes the mistake of putting them in. Can't get tail-enders out, Starc makes 58. I don't think England will reach 250 with two out of form batsmen still in the side - Lyth and Bell. Lets hope I am eating humble pie in a few days time!
  7. Didn't the club do 'due diligence' on him before they committed to him?
  8. Going to book my implant this week. Front tooth, can't stand the plate.
  9. Bill, we got shipped to Bangor but only stayed there a short while. We returned to Liverpool just in time for the blitz! Never found out what that was all about. Returning to Liverpool - not the blitz I mean.
  10. I became an Everton supporter in about 1943 aged 7. As there was no football during the war I had to survive on stories of pre-war games told by older lads and my Grandad. (My Dad was a Liverpool supporter). Saw my first game in the first season after the war when I was 10 and was hooked. That was 69 years ago and I'm still hooked. My legacy is that my grandson who is 16 and lives in Nottingham is also an Everton supporter and my son takes him all over the country watching Everton. They did Swansea away and Southampton last week, as well as home games. I have to make do with TV these days. My grandad was 7 when the leagues started, if he saw his first Everton game aged 10 that would have been in 1891. He wouldn't have gone to see Everton on a regular basis as he played football. His clubs were: Valkyrie FC, Old Xaverians and I think he had a spell with Marine FC.
  11. I see the linesman who allowed Liverpool's 'offside' goal is running the line for our game against City. As he's obviously a Liverpool fan it doesn't bode well for us.!
  12. sky go doesn't use Google Chrome. IE and Firefox are the two main ones. Have tried Firefox before but was not impressed.
  13. Browser is IE. Sky tells me I need to download Silverlight. When I download it, it tells me I already have the latest version. Tried uninstalling Silverlight but can't. Get the message 'no valid sequence could be found for the set of patches' .whatever that may mean.
  14. Was in the middle of posting on this website yesterday when the screen went black and a message came on saying 'downloading remaining Windows 8.1 don't switch off your computer'. It took an hour and a half and afterwards I found I couldn't get into Sky go - still can't. Has anyone used Windows 10 yet? If so, what is it like? Couldn't understand the above as I have had the computer on 8.1 for over three years. Not happy with 8.1 I think the reason 10 came out so soon was it was easier to issue a new version than correct all the problems in 8.
  15. I see referee Lee Mason has been relegated to fourth-official role after his failure to give Coquelin a second yellow-card. The referee in the Liverpool game last night for the goal he disallowed and the linesman for allowing a clearly offside Liverpool goal, should both be relegated to non-league.
  16. BBC live scores (text) makes no mention of a disallowed goal?
  17. Whoever wrote that report wasn't watching the same game as me. Chelsea were lucky it wasn't 5 - 0.
  18. It's also been voted the greenest and most environmentally friendly district in the UK. It's got more unleaded church roofs than anywhere else. (sorry Patto).
  19. During the City v Chelsea game Terry was subbed at half-time and didn't appear to be injured. The Chelsea defence was all over the place. The commentator mentioned Stones going to Chelsea and quickly said something like 'maybe I shouldn't have said that, don't want to upset Martinez.
  20. When I saw the picture of the new away kit on here I thought it was someone taking the proverbial. It looks like an army PT kit.
  21. According to BBC stats, Southampton had 10% more possession than us. I reckon Martinez will give the players some stick in training on Monday.
  22. Mark, During the blitz the Luftwaffe dropped 2,000 tons of bombs on the district of Everton - they did £15 worth of damage.
  23. Full kit must include: jock strap, ankle strapping, tie-ups. shin pads. If it doesn't you are improperly dressed.
