  1. I said 5th somewhere earlier and I'm sticking to that. In my opinion, we have 3 very winnable home games, 5 winnable away games, and 3 really huge home games. The 3 big home games won't necessarily make or break the season, because we could win all 8 of the others (unlikely I know, just an example). That being said, would love to do the double over United, and stuff City as well. Hull may well have both eyes on a cup final come the last day of the season too. Will probably go down to the wire, but I'm sticking with 5th.
  2. Watched the game on TV and as others have said it was anyone's game up until the penalty. Silly from Barry but even the most experienced make mistakes now and again I guess. Robles is so shaky dealing with an aerial ball, but a good shot stopper and still young, so hopefully he'll improve on that area as well as his kicking. He's an adequate back up and has potential I would say. Had Barkley scored, or Lukaku laid it off instead of trying to go for glory when we were 3 on 2 it could have been a win. Small margins when 2 attacking teams meet. Flattering scoreline for them but they did deserve the win overall. Hoping for a good run now in our next few winnable games, to get some confidence and momentum going into the 'bigger' home games that are coming up after them...
  3. Hernandez is very quick. This is all probably irrelevant, he'll score a few in the summer and be off to Spain I reckon. Probably Atletico when they lose Costa to Chelsea or Real
  4. Ooh I agree, this has always annoyed me when watching US movies and TV shows. To say they 'could care less' indicates that they do in fact care by some measurable amount, however small. Us British saying we 'couldn't care less' means we don't care at all, i.e. it's impossible to care any less. I don't understand how Americans can't see that their version doesn't make sense?! Haha
  5. Ha did break something it turns out
  6. http://metro.co.uk/2014/03/05/tottenham-eye-summer-transfer-bid-for-everton-ace-kevin-mirallas-4424410/ Spurs linked with a summer bid of £12m. Dream on. It's probably bollocks though anyway
  7. Agree. Although Baines will still be there for the 2016 Euros I would think, if we qualify of course, then Shaw first choice by the next World Cup. Although things can obviously change depending on form at any time
  8. The FA made her I guess. They said 'we're aware of the photographs and are dealing with it internally'. Apologise to who I'm not sure! Definitely mental
  9. I think Roy's comments that Cole and Shaw are the ones he 'needs to look at in an England shirt' tonight, pretty much mean that Baines is first choice now for the foreseeable, and he's just deciding whether to effectively retire Cole or give him one more tournament as back up
  10. Thankfully the comments on the story agree with common sense. It's just the media that stir this crap up. As one comment on the story says, I bet Whoopi would be flattered. There would be no racist spin on the article if Traore whited up and went as Crouch, it would just be taken in good humour
  11. Managed to find a photo here http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/england-star-toni-duggan-anti-racism-3207905
  12. Former Toffee Toni Duggan has had to apologise for painting her face black in order to go to a fancy dress party as Whoopi Goldberg from Sister Act. I'm not really sure what the issue is, am I being naive? Are we saying that fancy dress characters are limited to our own race? Am I allowed to 'green myself up' to go as Hulk or not? I'm so confused
  13. And to think Brenda told him last summer he could leave. Definitely pulled his socks up and earned his place. Was hoping he would be another expensive Kenny flop, sadly not!
  14. Sky sports seem to think Henderson will start tonight, and that only one out of him and Cleverley will make the final squad. I'm hoping Barkley dazzles with an impressive 20 minute cameo and a goal, but saves his legs for Saturday. Enjoy the game
  15. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26442914 Roy's definitely not going to sign the petition then. Shame.
  16. Haha that's hilarious. Over 11000 sigs already, could see this gaining some traction and getting loads more. Almost feel a bit sorry for him, what a humiliation haha
  17. Got a deserved 1-1 not too long ago sticking to our principles, so I would go with that
  18. Yeah definitely agree. Hopefully Barca will have a word with him and convince him he needs another year on loan to develop more
  19. From me it's more sarcasm than a genuine opinion on his talent. I'm equally sick of people writing a player off after 60 minutes' football. Same thing with Kone, 79 minutes played and written off before his injury. This despite already proving his quality in the league last year. Not saying either player is a world beater, just a bit sick of the negativity creeping in around here on nearly every thread
  20. Better than Traore's? (Yes definitely tongue in cheek)
  21. http://www.independent.ie/sport/onloan-everton-winger-gerard-deulofeu-wants-barca-return-30061621.html Assuming these quotes are very recent, then this paper claims he is going to fight for his Barca place next year and not go out on loan
  22. Good win for them last time out, but they've had a couple of diabolical spells before now so let's hope we catch them on a bad day. Even on a good day I make us favourites. As Njarko says, Pardew will be in the stands at the very least, which will add a bit of an unknown factor
  23. It's a different injury. He was back within 2 weeks from the one he signed with. Just bad luck. I find it disappointing that some people seem to be pleased that he's injured just so they can say I told you so... This subject has been done to death now, but he's a 'waste of space' with a 1:1 goal ratio so far
  24. At least one striker will be coming into the club in the summer. Barkley is a quality number 10. Europa League is one step on the ladder to building up the club profile and revenues. Sorry, I know it's all opinions, but can't really agree with anything you've said there
