I actually think his 'failure' at Chelsea will benefit us.
We've now got a manager that is even more hungry to succeed and prove people wrong, and he sounds very much like he's grateful that Everton have given him the opportunity to do that. He was a player that did whatever it took to succeed and I think he'll be exactly the same as our manager. That will involve ruffling a few feathers along the way and I am here for it big time, winning is everything and if some players/members of staff/board members can't take the heat then fuck them.
I don't even care if he ultimately sees us as a stepping stone to somewhere else because he's only going to that somewhere else if he does something pretty special here. That's perfectly acceptable to me.
Yes, I am fully invested in our glorious cockney leader.

Due to some fairly recent events and member complaints we mods/admins have had a fair bit to deal with so we wanted to draw people's attention to the original site guidelines (above) and ask people to try to stick to them. We acknowledge that we've probably been remiss in letting things slide at times so we needed to give them some attention also.
Not pointing this at anyone in particular at all but in particular we're looking at the "F - PERSONAL ABUSE / BULLYING" and "... it's worth noting that when a discussion reaches a dead end or impasse, we have found it much better from experience to simply agree to disagree."
If you see something that you think contravenes these guidelines then please try to refrain from responding in kind and hit the "report" icon instead.
We'll be looking to be more vigilant if and when needed in the future. Ta people.

Hamilton was at the front of the race and the whole point of the safety car is that he picks up the race leader and everyone falls in behind him, race leader has never overtaken a safety car and never will. The usual process is then to allow all lapped runners to overtake the safety car (unlapping themselves) so that they don't interfere with the race leaders on the restart. The controversy is that Masi allowed only the cars between Hamilton and Verstappen to unlap themselves, if Latifi's crash had happened two laps earlier then all cars would have had time to unlap themselves and the race would have restarted (for the front two) as it did and Verstappen would've won and nobody would have had grounds to complain.

Absolutely, I was lust clarifying the regulations for Bill as he's obviously not an F1 fan.
I'd just put forward the thought that the reason lapped cars are let through is to get them out of the way of the cars competing at the front; what Masi did achieved exactly that, and it was within his remit to use his own judgment rather than following the rules to the letter.
Mercedes would've taken it very happily had the situation been reversed (and Red Bull would have protested) but nobody can argue that the cars rolling over the line behind the SC would've been anywher near as exciting as how it turned out.

This made me laugh a bit, Lewis Hamilton sells "favourite car" to "increase environmental awareness" (and make €8.6m profit). How exactly is it his favourite car when he's put less than 1,000km on the clock in seven years (that's less than ninety miles a year)? I'm not in any way having a pop at Hamilton, just the writers of this bollocks.

It's a view. Personally I think he knew full well the reaction his silence would create, and let it fester for an age; then he does the big "I'm back" announcement, like the returning messiah, on the edge of the Grand Canyon with a cheeky grin...so staged.
It's like what happened to him was actually important in the grand sceme of things....which it wasn't.

Euros is a shortening of Europeans (or European Championships) so it's a plural rather than possessive.
Euro is just around the corner makes no sense and Euro is is just around the corner (which is what he's effectively saying) makes even less .
But I'm just being pedantic ....it was the "...where do we go from here....we have no manager" that made me laugh really.

Oh my god Jack ! I never thought of that....Capello's gone and he's the only football manager in the whole world!!!
Maybe we could hire a plumber? Beyond that I'm stumped.
(And Jack, if you don't know what to do with an apostrophe just admit it eh? Sticking a random one in in the hope that it's right just makes you look thick)
