It'll be a nice situation to be in. Having so many quality players fit and hopefully in form that Martinez has got a constant headache over selection.

Not sure we can afford to leave Lukaku out, the form he's in and I would probably stick with Mirallas on the left. Bring Del back for sure and maybe give Barry a rest like you said, two games in two days may well be too much for him.

A hard fought away win and a clean sheet to boot. Players that needed a rest given one, and substitutions made in time to have an influence on the match. Well done Martinez and the team, more of the same please. If this continues I will well and truely be eating a large slice of humble pie at the end of the season. Pass the cream!

Touch of sarcasm in my original post (re changes being made) If I had my way Robles would play, Besic (assuming McCarthy isn't fit) and Mirallas would start and Cleverley would be moved into Barkleys position. This won't happen though. Kone is in desperate need of a rest and Barkley needs something.... Given our recent results do you honestly believe we are going to go to a resurgent Newcastle on Boxing Day and win the game. I would much rather we go and lose the game trying to win it, than get a draw trying not to lose it, but I'm realistic. We will probably start with the same line up, dominate the first half and then go to shit after half time. If you can be arsed read my posts in the Norwich match thread to get my opinion on how we are going this season. In general mate I agree with you entirely. I'm very frustrated.

I know a lot of you guys believe Martinez is the right man for the job, but I was just wondering who the doubters (myself included) would choose for the job if he goes in the not to distant future. No pie in the sky fairy tale picks though, with the best will in the world we're not getting Pep.

I agree with starting Mirallas and Besic, I don't think TC has looked as comfortable in the more withdrawn role. Hopefully Lukaku extends his scoring streak.

You're right those players would make a real difference to the side. Problem is though he won't play Robles or Mirallas.
