Ideally they would both be intelligent enough to rotate during the game. Giving them both a chance to use their attributes in both roles and upsetting the oppositions defensive planning. I personally would probably start Kone wide.

I think that's the point though. We don't need to change things too drastically, the formation and the style of play worked last season and will work again... If the players get their form and confidence back. Obviously the injuries we have had are not helping, but he's not helping himself continually playing players out of position, when unfit or just plain out of form especially when he has better options. One thing I do genuinely believe is that the World Cup was no good for our players (mentally not physically).

No. Besic and McCarthy in the middle. They both have engines that would allow them to get up and down the pitch all game long. I think they could dominate most teams. Leaving Baines to do what he does best.

I just can't see us getting anything out of this one. The side look demoralised and the manager doesn't seem to have a clue. I'm sure he will persist with Barry and playing others when they're not fit of out of position. I'm not asking for a change of belief or philosophy just some common sense.

Barry has had more than just one bad game this season and Besic has looked exciting when he's played. I'm not saying Barry is finished, I don't think he is by a long shot, but at this moment in time I would like to Besic and McCarthy (when fit) playing together.

Up until this season I agree with that. If Jags was out his replacement usually came in and played well with Distin. The same can't be said when Distin was out. Different story this season though. Had to happen eventually, the man can't go on forever.
