Not a great start. We can definitely get one back but defending needs to improve.

I'm pretty close to that, except I don't want Guzan anywhere near this team. We've got too many talented young goalkeepers to waste time with Guzan. He's been a good soldier for the US team, but unfortunately for him, he's not good enough to get an extended run. We should be getting Bill Hamid, Ethan Horvath, and Cody Cropper ready. (Though Hamid is hurt.) Also wouldn't mind seeing Geoff Cameron at CB. He's been pretty good for Stoke. Mark, do you think Dempsey has anything left? I watched a Sounders match last weekend and he looked past it.

It's really embarrassing. Just today, I saw a video of a Trump supporter yelling at an African American woman, "Go back to Africa." In 2016. It's unbelievable and disgusting and upsetting. And frankly, not only racist, but deeply stupid too. It's likely that woman's family has been in the United States longer than the dumb white man's family.

Nay for me. The team has underachieved for two seasons now. This year has been particularly poor because of the quality in the side. When a team is underachieving it is almost always because the coach or manager isn't getting the best out of his players. And if Roberto can't get the best out of these players, he needs to go.

Say we've now got 100 million pounds to spend, who would you target. For me, Paul Pogba.

I think Roberto put him in an impossible situation. I'm withholding judgment until I see him get more time. Which is hard to do at this point, given there are no early round cup games left. Could let him start up top at Sunderland but we still need a half dozen points to assure no relegation pressure.

Still fuming, 5+ hours later. That match was ours on a silver platter.

Roberto was actually great until the subs. He started an innovative side and had to adjust on the fly when Mirallas lost his mind. He shifted tactics at halftime and they worked...until he took of Lennon for a striker who's been with us maybe six weeks. Lennon is our most industrious player, why take him off for a striker? If Barry had come on for Lennon, I would have understood it. If Niasse would have come on for Lukaku after they leveled it, I would have understood it. But the way he did it was senseless. I would not have been happy with 2-2 or even 3-3, so I'm not all that broken up about dropping all three points. We are almost surely safe from relegation, so it's 3 points or bust for me from here on out. We have the quality to be in Europe but we are badly underachieving. It's not going to be satisfactory for me if we roll out a substantially similar squad next year with the same manager and expect different results.
