Picford was immense but his kicking today was way off. Still comfortably MOTM though. Don't think anyone had a bad game to be honest, and there were other really good individuals (Patterson, Gana, Iwobi). McNeil looked lost when he came on, though that could be the occasion and instructions and Maupays stamina isn't up to speed yet. But overall that was a solid performance.

You could really tell at the end that Maupay was out of energy, but yeah. Everyone was solid bar McNeil. Really wish Maupay had taken his chance better, though.

Come on let’s not go there. In the moment absolutely but I can’t stand complaining about this after the fact.

Let’s not go to the obvious momentum-changer? Okay. We’ll pretend Anthony Taylor isn’t a complete piece of shit until he makes a decision that changes the outcome.

  3. Refereeing shite again. No surprise there. We definitely looked the better team for the first 25-30 minutes until every call started going their way.

Davies has had a few good moments but, more often than not, his first touch (or lack thereof) has let us down.

Hard to see us get deflated by officiating but good to see a little fight there at the end.

"There is no better feeling than coming back home, seeing some brothers here.

"I am very happy to be here, to help, to work hard and to give my soul for this team. I am in my home. I feel like home and I know everybody here. Seeing this team, following this team every week and how they play, I cannot feel in a better place than Everton so that is why I chose to come back here.

"There is a great atmosphere around the stadium and people around here are like a family. Even when I went to Paris I kept in contact with some players here and continued to support for the team.

"For me it is special and I said to the manager if I left PSG it will be for one team and that is Everton."

It is a little insane how much turnover we’ve had since he left. The only familiar faces for him will be Pickford, Keane, Mina, Coleman, Davies, DCL (assuming Gomes is truly gone on loan). Only two of those players will likely be playing regularly moving forward.

    Looks that way doesn’t it.

Barcodes get Isak signed sealed and delivered from Spain ……… we seemingly can’t get one done from 200 miles away 🤷

Hopefully something announced with the shirt holding photo ?? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Even tho he’s not the signing I wanted, I’ll still support him, and we need him for tomorrow …….. desperately

I mean when you’re paying 71 million, I imagine both clubs want that to go pretty quickly.

It was reported by a credible source two days ago that he was officially an Everton player. A club announcement can be delayed for a number of reasons but this one is done.

Just confused why Coady who was on the Wolves bench two days ago gets announced before a guy who was watching our match in our stands.

Definitely a pen you can’t pull players back in the area they are going to go down.

Still, a soft pen following Pawson giving away a free kick after Sterling literally fell over without contact. We can’t fucking win. Godfrey only injured because the linesman didn’t call the ball out of play when it was clearly out. This shit gets so tiring sometimes.

Don’t think a draw on Thursday will do us any good at all, as we’ve very little chance of taking another point at Arsenal.  We don’t need a draw if Leeds lose or draw at Brentford.  But one more point won’t keep us up if Leeds win.

A draw helps if Burnley draw their final two and Leeds win. Then Burnley go down.

I don't think the red was shit luck, it was really poor and naive defending. Hopefully he learns from it.

It’s shit luck because play never should have gone on. We should have had a penalty for a the shirt tug.

  10. Really is our luck. Has to be a red because he’s the last man and it’s a clear goal scoring opportunity, but it only happens because we’re not given a blatant penalty at the other end. This is going to be nervy for 45. Crossing all my digits and some I don’t even have.

I think the draw today from us though still gives them belief. Wouldn't be surprised to see them win Sunday.

If we had won today, I think that wipes out any hope they might have had.

I personally would be shocked to see them beat an in-form Brighton who has beaten ManU, Tottenham, and Arsenal in their last 6 and who hasn’t lost since March, especially when Leeds are down both Ayling and James.

edit: meant to say hasn’t lost to a team not named Man City since March.

  12. The good news is Leeds lost. They now need a win in one of their last two to stay up - two draws would not be enough. Even if they win both matches, four more points would see us through. And with the way they played today and the fact that two of their better players are now done for the season, two wins seems highly unlikely.

Not a great game or performance. Not gonna try to justify it, but it's a point away from home, so I'll take it. Two home games coming up now, both winnable in my opinion, but I'll take 4 points - I would like to think that that would be enough to see us safe.

It is mathematically enough to see us safe.
