  1. Chelsea are definitely beatable we just have to approach the game with a good game plan and no fear, this is a must win game otherwise we risk the team’s above us creating a gap of 5 points, and with only 5 games remaining I don’t see us clawing it back.
  2. An average of someone’s performance isn’t small sections of their total it’s from the beginning till the end, if Lampard carries on at his rate we will be down, he was 3-4 points away from a relegation spot with 2-3 games in hand and better goal difference than the 3 team’s in the relegation spot, now we are in a relegation spot 2 points from safety with one game in hand and a poorer GD now than Burnley that means in reality we are 3 points behind them from safety, that isn’t an improvement no matter how you try to dress it up. He’s got 6 games to improve his stats,10 points from a possible 36 is still relegation form over a season so no improvement, and definitely not the improvement many believed would happen. Not either managers fault we have poor striker’s and even poorer central defenders not down to them, Rafa lost his job no problem with that no one will ever know if he stayed what would have happened so not even worth getting into that argument, Lampard comes in and we have lost ground on the team’s around us instead of improving our position in the league it has deteriorated that can not be classed as an improvement.
  3. Rafa amassed a point a game regardless of beginning middle or end of his tenure that is his average, and Frank less than a point a game that his is average, results haven’t improved hopefully they do in the last 6 games because if he only takes 5 points from his next 6 games which he is averaging we go down.
  4. I think you will find I said the same thing, that Moshiri not only had interfered with the signing of players he also chose the managers against the opinions of his DoF. For me this team is Moshiri’s team not just in ownership in everything we see, it’s the play thing of Moshiri and Usmanov to have some fun and try to make a successful team where they made all the decisions, what they have proved is that money doesn’t buy you success when you haven’t got a clue what you’re doing.
  5. I’m only talking about the league Steve staying up is the only thing of interest to me this season. Rafa 19 games 19 points GD -9 as I said no where near good enough so not defending him, Lampard 12 games 10 points GD -12 no improvement no better not good enough Now I can understand the hatred towards Rafa because of his past, and I can understand why Lampard is getting an easier time from the same people who got what they wanted with Rafa out, they would look pretty silly wanting what they protested for to be removed, so they’ve reluctantly forced themselves to accept what’s happening, yes Rafa was shit and Lampard is no improvement.
  6. Was that the refs angle because he never saw the extended push in the back. It was a stonewall penalty mate your see that when you get a chance to see replays from different angles, but nothing we say or do now is going to change the result, so we can look forward to turning Chelsea over Sunday.
  7. I’m not defending Rafa as I’m not defending Lampard, I agree with you they are both equally lacking what we needed as a team, sacking Rafa fair enough but sacking Rafa and bringing in any manager that didn’t have the experience and learned mechanisms to fight a relegation battle imo was ridiculous, I would have stuck with Rafa if the option was to give the gig to Lampard in the position we were in, he hasn’t done better as people like Steve seem to think, he’s actually done slightly worse when you look at points and goal difference compared to Rafa, not that that makes Rafa good it doesn’t, but it proves Lampard’s style of football hasn’t improved our situation, now we are starting to see a Rafa style starting to be played, but with a very important ingredient missing Lampard’s games are miles behind Rafa’s when it comes to attempts at goal and on target, but both have suffered with poor finishing and defending mistakes, and more because of the quality of the players than the quality of the managers. Welcome Moshiri the owner who believes he knows better than anyone he’s employed when it comes to player recruitment.
  8. So in your informative wisdom are you now saying Townsend and Davies are better than those who have been playing, if so tell us the two who you would drop for them, if not why the fuck mention it, and Mykolenko is a big improvement on Digne who has been poor for eighteen months and hasn’t improved at Villa. Moshiri is responsible for interfering with recruitment by putting a block on players that DoF and managers wanted and bringing players in they didn’t, and signing managers against DoF advice. So you think us going to Spurs and getting hammered because of suicidal tactics is good management or losing the most important game for years against Burnley since Wimbledon is acceptable. Look at the table when Rafa left and look at the table now, and then get back to me with the improvement that you’ve witnessed since he left, I could do with a laugh.
  9. What we needed was a manager given a realistic amount of time, and Moshiri to stop interfering on signings.
  10. Be honest did you give Rafa that excuse or did you just blame him for our position?
  11. Leeds get a point, Palace guilty of poor finishing and Leeds working really hard and that concerns me they’ve got their work rate of last season back.
  12. And the fact we don’t seem to have players that when there is an opportunity who can hit the target, I find embarrassing watching some of our attempts at goal there that poor.
  13. Exactly they should be focusing on the incident in front of them with an open mind, and not harbouring any preconceptions based on anything from the past.
  14. We are a poor team but that shouldn’t make you a punch bag for refs who are having a shit game, or stop you criticising or questioning poor decisions. VAR was meant to be a tool for refs to use to check an incident whilst the game is still in play so as not to disrupt the game unless there is something happened which requires a closer inspection. What as annoyed me with the Gordon incidents is that he is being labelled a diver without the proper checks taking place, if that makes me a moaning bitch, or a sore loser then I’ll happily wear that badge. And if he is diving and it’s conclusive then I would have no problem with the appropriate actions being taken even if that amounts to two yellows, but when it’s not checked and it’s proven it should have been a pen then I’m going to kick off, because a wrong decision has been made and the ref got it wrong and never asked for VARs opinion which is so simple and should be the norm.
  15. The tactics were right, the same tactics Rafa played defend and counter attack, it’s not a tactic any manager really wants to play it’s a tactic used when a team hasn’t got the elements in the squad to play free flowing attacking football and still be capable of defending. Our lack of being unable to put a natural finisher in the team because we don’t possess one is killing us. We are where we are because of the signing of mediocre to poor players with no thought of how they fit into a vision of what or how we want the team to play. The frustration from us at what we are seeing is manifesting it’s self into anger because of the position we find ourselves in, it is sad that we have come to the position that we highlight reffing decisions as the reason we lost or are going down, when the reality is we are here because we aren’t good enough because of years of poor acquisitions. The Liverpool game for me cemented the feeling for me that it’s not over yet, we are not going to play a team anywhere near their ability away from home on this run in, and if we can play like that against the lesser teams away we will win and draw a couple without doubt.
  16. Gordon epitome of someone who actually gives a fuck.
  17. Played in a golf comp on the North course Valda Lobo he was in it as well, chatting to him on the first tee he was in the 4 ball in front of us, let him know I was an Evertonian he had that look of oh fuck on his face, 1 of my mates said you could see he didn’t like that. I should have sent a couple through them in the hope of knocking him out, but your right he’s a twat.
  18. Happy with the effort most new we weren’t going to win, but it wasn’t the thrashing most including myself thought it would be. Play with that passion in our last 6 and we have great chance of survival.
  19. Which in itself shows we can still get out of this, remember this is arguably the best team in the league.
