Mykolenko if available will be coming here whether Digne has departed or not, ideally you would want Digne to have gone early in the same transfer window. So I would say it isn’t bad business but necessary business and on this occasion we haven’t been forced to sell because we want to buy. Digne could be very picky in where he wants to go so may not get the move he wants, so if we can get a replacement very early Digne loses a lot of cards he’s holding, because the club can say if you don’t except offers from the likes of Newcastle and your favoured clubs don’t come in you will not be making the squad here, and will soon become a forgotten man. It takes a strong club and management to do that and I believe we now have a stronger club with Ancelotti and Brand’s gone.

With the money saved on James wages and now possibly Digne we could have £320,000 plus a week to play with on wages in the next transfer window, and with Gylfi Delph and I believe Tosun done in the summer that will be another £330,000 to use in the summer. Mental issues go beyond the best medical care there’s no magic pill or potions to cure it, and how much you earn isn’t a determining factor either. By all means we should criticise him for bad play and we should expect better, but I’m only guessing because I don’t have any social media platforms bar TT that he’s had abuse that goes past the boundaries of fair criticism for him to post that. I will add if someone in the public eye like him who has mental issues, should they not have an open Twitter account where people can get to them and send them into a dark place. I understand I hope what you are saying Digne himself and others might see the crossing side of his game as his best asset, and it probably was when DCL was fit and there to take advantage of the ball’s that come in, but when the main focus to take advantage of those crosses isn’t available they become wasted, so you have to look for a different way, we haven’t seen the amount of ball’s coming into box from both sides since DCL has been injured, but what we have seen is more cutting in from wide players and slide rule passes, which is trying to play more to the strength of the team available. I think it was Shukes who said that Digne had put in so many goal opportunity crosse’s with not one converted, not surprising when the only player capable of getting on the end of them is injured. Digne needs to give the manager his full backing and understand it’s not all about him be professional and sacrifice your own game for the good of the team.
