  1. Go to coronavirus.data.gov.uk and you will see a massive difference in where you got your stats from
  2. No not really you asked the question why our government is doing nothing in this country when the Germans were doing more in theirs, I respond with maybe because we are so say 90% vaccinated our government feel we are in a better position than the Germans who are only 68% vaccinated, that wasn’t said as the only reason or a factual reason or as a belief I hold, that was put forward as what they may believe. On a personal note just got off the phone to a friend of some 50 years who has caught it he had the booster 3-4 weeks ago as at a risk patient, due to being 27 stone which has led to associated health problems, he is absolutely shitting himself that it will turn very serious for him.
  3. Very well articulated Rob, surely that won’t be argued against.
  4. Thing is Mike people will use stats to suit their argument so we never get a true picture, on the news last night it was reported that we had over 90% vaccinated who I’m assuming are eligible to be vaccinated and Germany in the report you posted had only had 68% vaccinated I would assume that would only include those who are eligible for the vaccine otherwise it’s a pointless figure.
  5. That is population and not just those who can be vaccinated, remember most kids can’t be vaccinated.
  6. That’s absolutely rubbish mate Benitez is in the top 20 managers in the world, yet you believe you can tactical do better with the players he has, and he’s not astute enough to see what you’ve seen what ever that might be, you would have gone out there giving them something to think about and lost 5,6 or 7-0, we had 1 player out there who looked capable of giving them something slightly to think of and he went off injured in the first half, it would have been boy’s against men no matter what the tactics. Laporte didn’t play Stones played someone who would walk into any team in the league and who is probably better than Laporte, Sterling played another who would walk into any team in the league, nothing to do with tactics mate all to do with the ability of the players at the managers disposal.
  7. I pretty much agree with everything thing you said bar City not being at full strength they have at least 18 players who would get in pretty much every first team in the league, they play a rotation system, even if KDB wasn’t injured he still might not have played that’s how strong there depth with in the squad is. On our set up there will be many who would advocate if it’s inevitable that you will more than likely lose then go down fighting, but the reality is no manager will employ them tactics even with a weakened team they will try and employ some tactics to try and get something out of the game, and Benitez with team he had at his disposal tried to defend and frustrate City in the hope we may have gotten a point out of it, but they proved to be to good for us and it took a brilliant first half goal to break us down no shame in that imo. We need better players and players in depth if we want to complete in this league, and that’s not the fault of Benitez that we haven’t. Some might be shouting for Benitez head after that but with our squad who do they think would have got us a better outcome, even if Pep was our manager and City had Boris the result would have been the same.
  8. That was when even poor players and teams new what it meant to play in a derby, a lot of players now have no real passion for the clubs or their supporters, there here for one thing big money and fuck all else.
  9. Because they only have 68% vaccinated and we have over 90%, so possibly our government feels we are in a better position when it comes to people being hospitalised or dying from Covid. We will never eradicate Covid and it’s variants you and me can and probably will still catch it even though we have had 3 jabs we can only hope by doing so we won’t become to ill, although I do have my doubts about that due to my own experience. No government is making it mandatory to be vaccinated a few reasons I’m guessing, so if those who don’t want to be vaccinated catch it and die or become seriously ill then that’s tough they made their own decision and payed for it. We can’t keep locking down or shutting shop on certain sectors of the economy indefinitely. I still have the anti bodies from when I last caught it so maybe the vaccination with herd immunity is the way to go, but one thing is for sure it’s never leaving so we just have to learn to live with it, and if any of us are one of the unlucky ones who succumbs to it’s worse effects, then there was nothing our family friends or neighbours could have done to prevent that vaccine or not because you will catch this vaccinated or not.
  10. Maybe that’s the case in the states but not here kids have and still do go to school not fully vaccinated, parents have to give permission before their kids get vaccinated. Believe it or not thousands of parents chose not to vaccinate their kids at all or pick and choose which vaccines they will allow their kids to have.
  11. My wish for Christmas is someone buy’s Moshiri out and sacks the fraud that is Brand’s, and we all live happily ever after. Dreams can come true if you wish hard enough yo ho ho.
  12. After his comment’s about me dropping like a stone and being a flash in the pan, I wouldn’t have said anything no sour grapes on my part just good old fashioned unsportsmanlike behaviour Steve it’s tough at the but I can handle it
  13. It’s amazing and frankly quite bizarre the amount of people who have put Delph in their team’s the last couple of games, granted we are very low on options but the adulation he’s been receiving is the thing I found the most bizarre he’s gone from the top of Everton’s most hated to near the top of most loved. This is showing me just how weak we are as a squad for all the money and all the managers we’ve achieved very little or nothing as a team in the last 6 years, Delph hasn’t become a better player in the last few weeks he’s still piss poor he’s looking just below average because the team is dropping below his poor standards. I can’t wait for players to come back and normal service to resume then my eyes will be pain free from reading that Delph is a good player.
  14. Wrong in so many ways, but hey my monies still on Lewis taking the drivers championship. Unless of course Max can do a better job at taking Lewis in the last 3 races.
  15. It does spring to mind, and if I was a racist or had racial abused someone the last thing I would be complaining about in the public domain is that someone had racial abused me, he’s completely lost my sympathy and respect, he’s proved to be no better than people he has condemned as being racist, you reap what you sow, wtf goes through some peoples heads is beyond me.
  16. Agreed mate I was writing the same thing as you posted.
  17. Very much so, if you look hard and deep enough most people will have something that they’ve said which isn’t PC, and as a 62 year old male I include myself in that group not that I’m proud of it because I’m not, but I was brought up in a time were institutionalised racism was the norm and seen as part of every day life and even broadcast on TV into our front rooms.
  18. I wouldn’t touch him I’m a great believer that a lot of players who have come from and shone in less competitive leagues, who then join the PL yet can’t replicate the form they showed else where, tells me no matter who else they play for in this league they won’t cut it it’s much to physical and competitive for them.
  19. Like you mate I’m a triple jabber yet I will be totally honest my first thought wasn’t I’m having the vaccination to save others, mine was self preservation and not being excluded from the things I enjoy in life, so in some ways I’ve allowed a chemical to be put into my body that hasn’t gone through the test of time or the rigour’s of years of scrutiny for the want of an easier life, some may call that stupid. My wife hasn’t been vaccinated not because she is a conspiracy theorist or an anti vaxxer but because she doesn’t believe the vaccines are proven to be safe and we can’t possibly know if we will suffer irreversible bad health in the future, now she wouldn’t call that thick as much as she would not call you and I thick for having it, and in time will have the vaccine if proven to be safe over a period of time. So selfish me just says that fair enough but don’t think that I won’t be going to Spain for 6 months a year because they won’t let you in.
  20. That would be the ideal scenario but won’t happen unless of course you take away people’s right to abstain from the vaccination program.
