  1. Dom and Richarlison will do more than bag a goal or 2 if you think that there only contribution to the team is a goal or 2 then there’s no point discussing this any further with you. Your the one that needs papering
  2. The same players and man who was in charge last time against Utd, 1 loss and you start talking like it’s the end for us, we’ve played counter attacking football all season we had some very good moments in the game and created opportunities only difference today was they didn’t go in and fell to the wrong players. How is having better players on the pitch papering over the cracks that’s a bizarre statement unless you mean the crack is the manager and better players will only paper over his lack of ability.
  3. DCL for Rondon and Richarlison for Iwobi we win this, we’ve done well to weather the storm without them till now but our luck ran out today, we need our finishers back Rondon and Iwobi aren’t the same as DCL and Richarlison when it comes to finding the back of the net.
  4. I see it slightly differently I don’t think we have been really poor, but we have played to stop Antonio from using his pace against us which has worked, we haven’t played a game this season where we have had the most possession, I think we are as much in this game as our other games still looking forward to the win.
  5. Starting to click now it’s all us last 10
  6. Great by Gray Iwobi air shot fuck sake dreadful
  7. For me Moyes was a decent manager not the best for sure, but his ability in the transfer market was what impressed me the most his wheeling and dealing helped keep a cash strapped club in the mix for years which shouldn’t be over looked. We may not have won anything in his time here but would any manager achieved more if they had the hand he had to play with, and I would say very unlikely, those who have followed him have so far with more resources have not done so. When he was with us we were considered the best of the rest nationally every season he was here, but not so since he left.
  8. You can’t spend the money he has and expect to get away with playing football without heart and soul, complete shambles not a team from back to front.
  9. Very sad news he was by all accounts a thoroughly nice man who was horrifically murdered whilst working for his constituents, my thoughts go out to his family and friends. I must say what a crass piece of journalism from the times, to falsely mention fuel and food at a time like this which has no relevance to the horrific incident which took place I find disappointing and inappropriate.
  10. I’m 62 and the last 25 years or so in football have been purely about the money from owners agents sponsors and players, so why people are so shocked or morally upset about the Newcastle sale is beyond me it’s just another day in a long line of days of the money being the only thing that matters.
  11. I think we are more than capable of scoring against them, but we will struggle stopping them getting past us they are physically strong up front with a bit of pace, I can see us defending deep and trying to shut down the space for Antonio to work in, probably our best chance to take something out of this one.
  12. Enjoy Matt you’ve worked hard for it in so many ways
  13. I don’t believe he’s a player low on confidence far from it, he has vehemently believed in his ability and that he should be in the 1st team, twice in the last couple of years he has refused any talk of being sold or going out on loan, because his own self believe in his own ability is that strong, what evidence do you have that leads you to believing he is low in confidence. He may not be good enough but he definitely doesn’t lack confidence.
  14. I know it well I use that junction when I’m going from Gloucester to Stroud and have to go through Stonehouse, it never ceases to amaze me how such a small catchment area can sustain a league club, especially when there also in big Rugby Union territory.
  15. So they are moving again are they still staying in Stone house.
  16. I haven’t been to their new ground but years ago went to their old ground which from memory was in the middle of a housing estate, a lad who worked for me was playing for Yeovil Town and the reserves were playing in the the same league as Rovers.
  17. Had about 6-8 week lockdown some 18 months ago when as a company we didn’t have any clients but one who kept there sites open, so I enjoyed the peacefulness of the phone not continuously ringing emails not needed to be written or answered, the weather was good and I thought if this is what retirement means then I want it. That is now a distant memory we are flat out and busier than before Covid started. Covid has taught me a couple of things how corporate business and governments pay lip service by saying one thing but doing another, and that I am prisoner of my success by getting in to deep financially you struggle to get out on your own terms.
  18. With hindsight of course but not in real time, he made the right decision if you believe he didn’t think Mina was offside because the ball ended up in the net.
