  1. Just watched the camera footage from Verstappen’s car of Hamilton’s first attempt to over take, how the stewards have let Max get away with that manoeuvre is beyond me, if that is what you call defending the racing line then there’s something seriously wrong with the powers to be, if that was the other round the McLaren team would have been bashing the door down with there objections as we’ve witnessed with them before.
  2. Not management he’s been poor for a quite a while, just not a very good defender and reader of the game, he looks better when going forward but even that side of his game has deserted him for over a season. Benitez has asked him to concentrate more on his defending as we have had so many injuries we are playing what I call survival football defending in numbers and hitting on the break, but this tactic has emphasised Digne’s lack of defending ability. No matter who you are or what position you play in defence your number one requirement above all else that is asked of you is that you can defend your position on the pitch and he is showing he can’t.
  3. And you Mike of course but this was meant for Haf
  4. Sorry to hear about your problems mate hope everything is going to plan and your back to your old self soon.
  5. If spelling his name right meant the difference between sinking or swimming then you would definitely need your rubber ring and arm bands on.
  6. Great shout mate, drivers championship well and truly back on. Come on Lewis the world record is in your sights.
  7. The only reason I would want him back is so I could here the boos from the first to last minute, from those who hold the values of this club at the pinnacle of what it means to be an Evertonian. He claimed to be one of us yet wouldn’t sign a contract that was on the table for over a year and would have made him one of if not the highest earners at the club. Instead he shit on us in such away it still makes my blood boil, going to Chelsea and so say refusing is medical to come back here and spend all season in our treatment room being paid, only to then sign for them when fit for 15-20 million less, he did a deal with them that cost us millions and gave him a few more quid and saved Chelsea million’s. I’ve heard excuses for him that he’s a bit thick and was led by his agent and Chelsea, no excuse in my book, he may be a ham sandwich short of picnic but when you’re an Evertonian you’re led by your heart not your bank balance. For me he can never be forgiven and welcomed back he betrayed us and that can’t be forgotten or forgiven.
  8. I think our defence is our biggest problem at the moment as a team and Digne is just a bigger factor in that as any of the other’s, as long as he can walk he plays no matter how poor he plays each week. Now I know that’s not his fault that we haven’t got a credible replacement to step into his boots when he’s out of form, but for 2 seasons he has just gone backwards with every game that passes. He has had one really good season for us his first and nothing to right about since, was that a one off and now we are seeing the real Digne the one that couldn’t get anywhere near the Barca team personally I think we are and I can’t see him ever replicating his first season. And the fact we have a new manager who his asking to pay more attention to his defending which is poor at best makes me think he things will only get worse for him.
  9. Well where ever he his or what ever he’s doing god bless him, I loved passing time with Rubes great guy.
  10. So it is, but still doesn’t hide the fact he wouldn’t be an improvement for the team, comparing one inconsistent player with another is no justification for wanting inconsistent players at the club, particularly ones that shit on the club in a big way in the past.
  11. That’s putting like there’s only one option him or Iwobi, but that’s not the case there are many more better players than Barkley, surely replacing an inconsistent player with another inconsistent player makes no sense. He couldn’t make it at Villa because of his lack of inconsistency.
  12. A defender who isn’t good at defending well that’s a novelty, should we fill all positions with players who aren’t good at playing in them.
  13. Agreed he stitched the club up to the tune of around 20 million, there’s got to be far better players who are much more consistent than him surely, before we lower our pride and bring snivelling little rat back into the camp, what he did to the club he so say supported can never be forgiven.
  14. That makes complete sense to me, it’s surely far worse than allowing Saudi murders to by PL football clubs who are leaders of a country with a terrible human rights issues.
  15. I don’t have a Facebook account I’ve still got some standards
  16. Good point a straight red can be appealed, but not a single word from the club that suggests they didn’t think it was a red card, they might stand by him and argue it wasn’t malicious but I don’t think they’d argue it wasn’t a red.
  17. Nearly all pros favour a fade into the green whether or not their natural shot is a draw, the reason being a fade gives you more control on stopping the ball.
  18. Not heard that from him or the manager bar confirmation that he wasn’t available because he had Covid, but not heard that his loss of form was due to long Covid bar supporter speculation. Your have to show me I haven’t seen it.
  19. Has he got long Covid or just short term ability, I don’t want to presume what I don’t know but there has been nothing from the club confirming he is suffering any form of bad health linked with him having Covid-19. In my industry the standard excuse is someone has Covid or they gone for a PCR test and are waiting for the result, works better than his vehicle has broken down or struggling with child care. Only in this case it’s the supporters who have diagnosed him with long Covid, never new we had so many Doctors on the forum
  20. I hope he doesn’t get another contract there’s been way way more poor than good, plus we can’t keep relying on to many players in their 30s that’s no good for the short or the long term. Let’s just hope he can stay fit and pay back a fraction of what he’s cost us since he’s been here and call it day at the end of the season.
  21. I played with David Howell at his private club when he was number 9 in the world, can anyone trump that
