  1. Maybe a stricter task master might suit him who knows.
  2. I hope it does because the chances of him leaving sooner rather than later are definitely on the cards.
  3. I believe Iwobi has untapped potential and talents it will be interesting to see who gets the most game time out of the 2 my money at this moment in time is on Iwobi. Regardless of how much money you cost or your wages every player is brought in to take a position in the squad and improve the team, if you don’t improve the team and stop getting picked you are a failure no matter what you cost, in my eyes failure or success is based on what you achieved for the team not what you financially cost the team.
  4. Regardless of what ex players think good or bad is immaterial, he’s now our manager and currently the best chance we have of putting the last 5 years behind us. So fuck the red shite players and supporters, who here seriously gives a shite what they think.
  5. Great times Mike never to be repeated again in my life time that’s for sure, even Kendall got the managers job as a gamble, he gambled big style with his acquisitions and I would say not with any real idea, but the football gods were smiling on him and us and it clicked, best years of my life. About time I watched Howard’s way again, always makes me believe all things are possible when it comes to Everton unfortunately it seems to wear off a lot quicker lately.
  6. You will find them on the net if you look, the season I was referring to I think was either 18/19 or possibly 19/20 what I do remember was Bournemouth were still in the equation.
  7. This league was far to physical for him.
  8. Here’s an obscure stat as a left winger he is ranked 95th in the world
  9. If you look at the percentage of turnover spent on wages we spent 86% of our turnover on wages which was before Covid shut stadiums, it was the highest in the PL, some teams managed to spend under 50% of turnover on wages, quite how we can applaud Brands for financially steadying the ship and getting finances in order is beyond me.
  10. Steve wasn’t talking solely about football clubs he was talking about all companies.
  11. It wouldn’t be a positive if you were a shareholder looking for a decent dividend.
  12. Presided over the biggest amount of money spent on players and wages in our history, and all cumulating in the poorest league positions in years, and Townsend Grey and Begovic as our latest signings, this is the reality of a successful DoF I wish I could say I made that up, he’s taking us backwards.
  13. I have no idea where this club is heading anymore, in 4 years we have gone one of the biggest spenders in the league, to a bargain basement team, why does Brands think Townsend and Grey will make good squad players for us, yet Palace and Leicester obviously don’t and they have worked with them for years. And what’s with I liked his interview he talks a good game I was really impressed, they mean absolutely squat, for me 2 very desperate signings that will do nothing to progress the team, and then we can all blame Rafa in 6 months time because he hasn’t done anything.
  14. Unfortunately Steve this is what will probably happen, as we have found in recent weeks the mindless idiots will always find away of spouting there vile rhetoric whether it be racist homophobic or whatever gets there attention.
  15. Exactly what I would do if I was given the opportunity of having a season ticket, well done Rom as long as people don’t take the piss out of your good nature
  16. I think it’s got to the stage over the last couple of weeks that the horse has already bolted, with large crowds at big horse racing meetings, tennis for a few weeks, the Open golf over 4 days and the British Grand Prix over 3 days. That’s probably well over a million people attending these events in unshielded close proximity spreading Covid like wild fire.
  17. McLaren use a Japanese engine in Honda and an Austrian backer in Red bull, Merc F1 are based in Bracknell with the best of British technicians, I did the Carpentry and Drylining contracts there for the Blue Stone the main contractor, you won’t find a team that is fully made up of all things British, I thought he was born in Belgium. But still I don’t see what’s wrong with me supporting Lewis the driver regardless of what team he drives for. Also for the same main contractor I did all the same contracts at Williams F1 in Grove a couple of years before.
  18. My support is for Hamilton because like me he’s English, why would my support go to a Belgian.
  19. What make of car do you drive Mike
  20. Far from ruined great race even better result.
  21. Great drive Lewis look at the crowd all cheering British and St George flags waving what a race what a result get in.
  22. Give me that every race where two drivers are racing to the limit and not giving an inch, that was the most exciting first couple of laps I’ve seen for years, this incident is going to light this championship up to be potentially the best season we’ve seen for a long time. Come on Lewis show more of that fight and make history.
  23. Enjoy mate only true friends should be able to take the piss and it doesn’t offend.
