  1. I think it’s got to the stage over the last couple of weeks that the horse has already bolted, with large crowds at big horse racing meetings, tennis for a few weeks, the Open golf over 4 days and the British Grand Prix over 3 days. That’s probably well over a million people attending these events in unshielded close proximity spreading Covid like wild fire.
  2. McLaren use a Japanese engine in Honda and an Austrian backer in Red bull, Merc F1 are based in Bracknell with the best of British technicians, I did the Carpentry and Drylining contracts there for the Blue Stone the main contractor, you won’t find a team that is fully made up of all things British, I thought he was born in Belgium. But still I don’t see what’s wrong with me supporting Lewis the driver regardless of what team he drives for. Also for the same main contractor I did all the same contracts at Williams F1 in Grove a couple of years before.
  3. My support is for Hamilton because like me he’s English, why would my support go to a Belgian.
  4. What make of car do you drive Mike
  5. Far from ruined great race even better result.
  6. Great drive Lewis look at the crowd all cheering British and St George flags waving what a race what a result get in.
  7. Give me that every race where two drivers are racing to the limit and not giving an inch, that was the most exciting first couple of laps I’ve seen for years, this incident is going to light this championship up to be potentially the best season we’ve seen for a long time. Come on Lewis show more of that fight and make history.
  8. Enjoy mate only true friends should be able to take the piss and it doesn’t offend.
  9. I’d use him to piss the mother in law off she can’t abide dick heads, come to think of it I don’t need him for that I’m doing a good enough job of that myself
  10. Not a scooby doo what you’re on about and he was a dog
  11. Honestly I never knew, my labour rates have remained fairly static in the last 18 months, but a completely different story when it comes to materials in the last 6-8 months, and because I’m in fixed term contracts on all my jobs it’s really starting to hit my bottom line. Yes I do think Bernard is an expensive mistake unless we can recoup his wages of 21 million and yes unfortunately there are plenty more, but who to blame for that is a different story. And I’m not going shopping with you Ste I couldn’t afford it
  12. That’s because the last 6 years we have bought below average players and stuck them on super star wages.
  13. I know that but that doesn’t make Bernard an inexpensive mistake does it. A cunt isn’t less of a cunt just because you think you know a bigger cunt at the end there all cunts.
  14. So you don’t consider Bernard an expensive mistake, ok fair enough let’s go with he’s been value for money if that suits you more. I’m guessing that you are not a buyer in the company you work for
  15. Sorry to hear about your bad news mate hope you all get through unscathed. But you’re right it’s definitely on the increase and at a time when we are looking at lifting restrictions, 3 days to Armageddon if the government doesn’t do a U turn and accept scientific advice and review the risks.
  16. I wasn’t comparing players against Bernard as it was his column I was highlighting what a waste of money he’s been, and drain on the clubs FFP stats. But just to add to your comparison between him and Iwobi Bernard made 18 appearances 20/21 and Iwobi 40 so value for money even with fees falls in Iwobi’s direction, I would expect if I looked at minutes played it would even go further in Iwobi’s favour, but like I said my post was that Bernard has been an expensive mistake unless we can recoup his wages.
  17. How many have we got left from Walsh’s time as DoF clogging up the wages.
  18. Agreed but he is expensive cover one of the highest paid in the club, he may have been a free agent but his millions a year have proven very costly for very little return unless we can get 15-20 million to cover his wages.
  19. I wonder if Rafas interview went something like this, Brands “right Rafa you fat twat I’m buying the players I want, I’m also deciding what style of football we play, and like Silva if it all goes wrong you’re taking the rap for it any problems with that fat boy” Rafa “none at all Mr Brands when do I start”. That’s a lot closer to some peoples take on it than mine.
  20. There’s a reason for this Usmanov and Moshiri are looking for instant success, and they are trying to buy it and not earn it or work for it.
  21. Then who has the final say if not the manager it can’t be the DoF because he’s not the team, are we now introducing a Marxist philosophy on buying players in that if the collective doesn’t agree then it doesn’t happen, someone said this is going to take 10 years to sort out, I would say more like 20 or 30 if we implement your ideals, Brands didn’t want Rafa neither did Kenwright we got Rafa why if Brands is the decision maker on recruitment players and now style of football.
  22. Correction that isn’t quite what happened, we firstly went for Hojberg and Gabriel they were who Ancelotti wanted not what was offered to him as an option, Ancelotti was so confident he had an agreement with them both that when it fell through he was incensed enough to blame somebody for leaking the deals which alerted Arsenal and Spurs, if they would have gone through I doubt we would have signed Godfrey and Doucoure, well definitely not Doucoure Godfrey would possibly have still come because he wasn’t signed as a starter but by Brands as a player to bring on for the future, I will always give credit to Silva for bringing Doucoure to the attention of Brands, although that’s immaterial Brands did suggest Doucoure to Ancelotti and Ancelotti trusted his advice, as Ancelotti said Doucoure was a player he never new. Rafa will work with Brands of course but he will not be dictated by him on player recruitment for the first team, and now the latest belief style of play.
  23. You boy’s are so over thinking this it’s becoming farcical, now we are in the realms of Brands not only picks the players he also has a say in the style of play and the manager has to fit in with that, forgive me but that is hilarious
