  1. Because I know what I’m on about simple
  2. Nothing changed for 60 minutes because we didn’t concede until 58 minutes, so there for that part of the plan was working until the bullshit penalty, we were lacking the right players in the right place to play open and expansive football, we packed the midfield and defence to keep it tight and not concede, with the belief we would get a goal even if from a set piece or on the break, but at worse we should have walked away with a point. I could name 5-6 players who didn’t produce step up to the mark call it what you want, but they let the manager down not the other way round, but Bailey you carry on and blame Ancelotti for the last 2 performances I’m sure the players would be happy to hide behind that excuse.
  3. You can imagine the tantrums now if that was to happen.
  4. Love him mate best manager we’ve had for 30 odd years, love you as well Aidan .
  5. I agree, but he’s to good a player to be playing in the reserves or sat on bench, he needs to get out of Anfield and find regular first team football he could offer so much to another team.
  6. I thought the same a very disappointing start to his Everton career, I was even expecting him to chip in with the odd goal now and then but honestly don’t remember him even having a shot at goal, very average at the moment.
  7. Exactly this so why so much criticism of the manager after the game and not the players, there the ones who didn’t perform and carry out his tactics based on the players at his disposal. Or are a few saying that one of the best managers in the world doesn’t know what he’s doing?
  8. It would seem that way, but I’m of the same opinion as Ancelotti we have to show we can win with out him, we can’t get tagged as a one player team the onus is on every player to prove we are capable without Richarlison on the pitch.
  9. What I don’t get is that those who have criticised his team selection weren’t critical of his selections before the game started, in fact some even said that they understood his reasoning for his team, if we would have won he would have been hailed as a hero, yet we lose and the it’s his fault his team and tactics were wrong, really I would listen to anyone who highlighted that before the game started that he picked the wrong team and why, that would be good knowledge, but after the event is easy to criticise when things go wrong anyone can do that, the players let us down not the managers selections otherwise all old wise owls would have been banging there drums before the game started, so I for one back the manager over his selections, and won’t listen to those who said he got the team wrong after the game and not before
  10. DCL blazed high and wide yesterday from 6 yards out Gylfi took an air shot from 6 yards out, let’s blame Ancelotti.
  11. Never done anything Pickford doesn’t do week in week out, good display but no better.
  12. We had opportunities just didn’t take them, can’t blame the manager for poor finishing, or can and will you.
  13. He’s trying to take the piss out of Ancelotti I think might be wrong but very much feels that way.
  14. Strange that when Mike posted the team sheet not one person criticised Carlo and said this was going to be a disaster, or words to that effect, yet when we lose it’s a different story
  15. So does that mean the manager is responsible for getting the players to give their all, if a player can’t motivate himself to try his hardest and give his all every time he steps on the pitch, without it being coaxed out of him by his manager, then he shouldn’t be in the game no ifs or buts.
  16. The manager sends the team out with direction, the players are responsible for putting the energy in the hard yards in he can’t do that for them, the game plan was obviously working until the first goal and poor decision went against us on 56 minutes, then he to try and make changes and chase the game. And the plan would have been keep it tight and take your opportunities, we kept it tight but didn’t take the opportunities that we created in that system, being Gylfi’s air shot in front of goal 5 yards out and DCL’s 6 yard shot across the goal high and wide, both players new they should have done better and at minimum worked the keeper. You can’t ignore those sorts of missed opportunities as if they didn’t happen or matter, then hang the manager and his tactics, when with basic average finishing we would have walked away with the win.
  17. Matt I refuse to accept that any manager never mind Ancelotti would send a player on the pitch with out any direction or game plan, the manager was forced into changing his tactics due to injuries and suspensions, they would have worked on this in training and would have known their role in the system, some of the players weren’t on it they have proven one thing to Ancelotti their not good enough to adapt to change, that’s their lack of ability and understanding not the managers.
  18. Are you saying that Ancelotti sent him out to play with out any direction, or that he wasn’t good enough?
  19. I think it worked for 56 minutes until the first goal, it wasn’t expansive football from us because he never set the team up to play like that, so he must have believed he never had the right players at his disposal to play that way, a couple of unlucky breaks and we concede, some better finishing from us and it could have been a completely different story. The game plan was to keep tight and nick a couple of goals, that’s why you didn’t see a change for 60 minutes why would you we looked comfortably and the plan was working.
  20. Very poor today in possession and aptitude, can’t keep finding excuses for him, dropping him might be the thing he needs to sort himself out.
  21. I meant DCL and then someone mysteriously changed it
  22. But if you don’t back your opinion up then it just comes across as criticism for the sake of criticism, if you’re going to criticise someone for not making the right decisions at least quantify what you believe would have been the right decision’s, and you never know we could end up agreeing with you
  23. It’s not irrelevant. We probably have one of the best managers in the game, and that’s been said by many people more qualified than us to make that statement, for me Carlo’s selection wasn’t wrong his players let him down in certain area’s.
  24. And for the record Gomes didn’t kick the back of Wilson’s leg it clearly shows his boot made connection with the underside of Wilson’s studs, because Wilson has jumped into Gomes after Gomes starts his movement to clear the ball. Fucking piss poor decision only backed up by Roy Keane out of the panel pundits because he’s a fucking prick and thinks he’s hard by being controversial.
  25. Not taking our chances cost us the game, we went there with 2 of our most influential players missing, and both our first choice full backs missing, we were never going to be expansive with the players at our disposal. We've had a poor penalty decision awarded against us and block that ballooned over the keeper fall for them , they haven’t scored a clean cut well made goal so I’d say our tactics worked and they fluke it, but to rub salt into the wound DCL and Gylfi missed 2 guilt edge chances, missing those types of chances in games that you know you aren’t going to get many in because the team is struggling with personnel is what loses you the game.
