I agree with that, Henderson is a prime example of that he covers space wins the ball, and is quick with usually a good delivery to get the players in front of him on the front foot, players like him don’t always look like they are doing something yet they make the game look easy because they are good readers of the game. When I see people not rating Henderson I find it hard to believe, for me he is a Trojan for Liverpool, but that’s opinions for ya, I don’t rate Gana where most do, yes he wins the ball, but at what cost when he leaves players and spaces wide open, and for me he doesn’t do anything with it. I have hope that if we get Allan from Napoli he will be more like a Henderson than a Gana, again many will disagree with me and want the opposite. But you know what mate we are having a reasonable debate putting our opinions across and agreeing on something’s but not all, and that’s good enough for me no insults required.

I think we have enjoyed more possession under Ancelotti percentage wise than when we had Gana in the team, our problems have been that when we’ve had the ball we’ve had no one in midfield who knows how to use it. We don’t create or move it forward with any confidence from the middle, most of our possession is playing it sideways or backwards in our own half, I don’t particularly think it’s a midfield ball winner we lack although you wouldn’t not want one, it’s someone who can get us playing once we have the ball.

Exactly we have no one in our team who can match what he offers Liverpool.

I made that one up mate just to try and equal it out, and I never got paid a penny I do understand where you’re coming from, I just felt there could be a bit of truth in that one, it would be frustrating to have your targets leaked to your competitors, so I can understand why he might have said that.

If you only rate players by stats then you get false readings, a player’s ability is based just as much on the things you can’t quantify.

Come on Matt Brands isn’t big enough for people to be interested in him, that people would need to make up stories about what he may or may not have said. But it doesn’t really matter whether he said it or not it doesn’t look like we are getting them, and if it makes you feel better I read an article that said Brands was never interested or spoke to the clubs concerning these players.

I don’t particularly want to see him go, yet 12 million is very tempting so if true I could see us cashing in.

It makes more sense to me that he would have said that, than someone making it up that he said something along those line’s.

Is 100k a week to much, not if Ancelotti knows what he’s doing so you either get behind the manager and back him, or if not we don’t progress. We will always have the I told you so brigade if it doesn’t work out, but let’s be prepared to accept that in our quest to improve, and if it goes wrong we can always sack the manager and block the I told you so brigade, happy days

We have apparently offered €2m a year contract for 4 years to the CH, and Napoli are looking for around €20m. I don’t know much about him but he looks quite light so may find it tough in the PL.

You may not know but Brands came out this week complaining of leaks on players that they had been chasing and named 1 or 2 that he felt we had lost due to leaks to the press, which he believes highlighted to others that they were available.

Not particularly just that 3 or 4 that we wanted have just recently signed for others, and I was hoping that the lure of working with Ancelotti would play into our hands, but the reality of our slump in the last 4-5 years from the best of the rest to a bottom half PL team is going to hurt us, because we can’t bring in the quality we need, it would appear that the general consensus is that we aren’t a good place to be judging by what we are seeing in the transfer market.

I haven’t said he’s responsible for those I mentioned, but he was tasked with getting rid of them. I really can’t see us building a team around Bernard Delph Mina Kean Iwobi anytime soon, but that’s just my opinion.

I did post the players I think are not going to make it here above, I didn’t use the terminology of spunked away when referring to Brands spending because there are positives in Richarlison Digne and Gomes, and I hold out hope for Iwobi and Kean, but if Ancelotti gets another striker in then Kean will be further down the pecking order and surplus to requirements.

I wouldn’t say I don’t like them as such, but I can see them not meeting the standards required, they are Bernard Delph and Mina, and a I’m 50/50 on Kean and Iwobi, I would like nothing better than them all to fit in, but I believe Ancelotti as seen tried and not been impressed with the majority of players at the club, and we will start to see the buying of players he wants not the owners and director’s.

I’d love that to be the end and we all live happily ever after, but I can see 3-5 of Brands in takes being the next list of players we can’t rid of, I hope I’m wrong but I fear I’m going to be proven right.
