  1. Put it this way, that was the first time Oliver has sent off an opposing player when reffing our games while he's sent 6 of ours off.
  2. As much as it's a lazy, disinterested performance, it's not his first one so I don't really think it indicates that at all. I complained about him half arsing early on. But then the next time he appears he's all blood and thunder, making life hell for defenders. It's like he's two different players.
  3. These players would not have been able to get the results they have in the past couple of games if the manager had lost them. That's my last on it.
  4. Funny how when other managers have 'lost' the players when we've been shite it didn't matter how much they loved the club and fans. It's a lazy shout but I'm sure it'll appear when there's a new manager, and the manager after that. Rinse and fucking repeat. There always has to be a dark undertone, a story. It can't simply be that we're a bit shit. Can't handle that for some reason. The manager's lost the players. The players have downed tools. The players don't care. Wah wah wah. The issue is a lack of quality.
  5. Absolute stonewall penalty. I could see it at the time. But we don't get them. Exactly the same as Dom's against Bournemouth that wasn't given, and the Garnacho one that was given against us. Apparently there was one just like given in another game yesterday but I didn't see it and can't recall what game it was.
  6. The least I expect from him is effort and causing a bit of chaos. Yesterday he was so disinterested and it pissed me right off. Dom had been exemplary during his time on the pitch, and all he had to do was chase everything and be a nuisance. That's it. He just didn't bother. It won't have sent a good message to the manager that he can trust him.
  7. It also seemed like it had ran it's course in terms of being a boost for the players.
  8. It's not even the first time he's been away from the defender and then somehow managed to be absolutely nowhere.
  9. If he's lost them then they wouldn't give a shit about that. Their body language and effort levels does not scream that he's lost the players at all. I get that a lot of our fans aren't keen on Dyche, I can't say I am either and I didn't want him in the first place, but all the bullshit shouts from some of you is fucking tiring and comes about every time we have a bad run of form. No matter the manager. Why? Because we don't have a good squad and haven't for a long time. Hence the relegation battles. Shut the fuck up whinging all the time and creating noise (not you personally, everyone that does it). Get on with supporting the team until the end of the season.
  10. I couldn't actually believe what I was reading in that article when they were making out that this would be a positive. It would completely negate the reason we're building the stadium.
  11. Based on yesterday's battling showing it would appear that he still has the support of at least 11 of the squad.
  12. I don't really have an issue with that being the plan for Burnley tbh. It probably is the way to go against them - press them into making mistakes, and when we have it get the ball up the pitch as quickly as possible so their shite defenders are pressurised (and we can only do that by hitting it long because we lack pace). I would've tweaked it a little bit when it became apparent very quickly that the wind was going to be an issue. Too many times Pickford went long and the wind stopped the ball going where it was intended.
  13. How on earth is the club not owning the stadium, and therefore missing out on revenue, a good thing?
  14. Denied 10 pointers by a poor refereeing and VAR decision not to give us a penalty for the Garner foul. I'm particularly gutted to miss out on that as it would have put me right on Boston's heels.
  15. Everton have ended a run of 13 Premier League games without a win (D6 L7) with their first victory in the competition since beating Burnley 2-0 in December 2023. Burnley are without a win in their past seven away league games (D2 L5), with the Clarets conceding the opening goal in six of those games. Burnley have now lost 21 of their 32 Premier League games this season (W4 D7), only losing more times in a top-flight season in 2009-10 (24 games), 1975-76 (23 games) and 1970-71 (22 games). After a run of 18 Premier League games without a goal, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in successive games for Everton in the competition for the first time since September. Burnley’s seven red cards this season is the most by a single side in a Premier League season since Aston Villa and Newcastle in 2014-15 (both seven red cards).
  16. Some people can't even spell Jarrad correctly, so Haaland is nigh on impossible.
  17. I've had this every other weekend for the past 3 years now. I don't know how I'm still going. I feel for those that go to the away games as well with all that travelling on top of everything. I very rarely stay out after a game because I'm just knackered. It honestly takes everything to give them the support they need. I long for the return of them getting us going again and not just providing crippling stress.
  18. Godfrey out of the team and we keep a clean sheet. Coincidence? I think not .
  19. That's a cute way of saying he was shite .
  20. Maybe Dyche thought the same way and had a word with him. I'd like to think that happened.
  21. Maybe it will only be a lil one. Keep positive .
  22. Where was the bustling nuisance when he came on? Dom had given everything while he was on the pitch and then Beto comes on and ambles around the place, putting in such a lethargic showing.
  23. The dropping has definitely made him up his game again. I thought he was brilliant today and snuffed out a lot of Burnley attacks.
  24. Whatever he had at half time I hope he has it before kick off next Monday.
  25. Today he looked back to his smooth best after that little drop in performances.
