  1. You know it's going down the pan when they bring back ageing wrestlers.
  2. I think the only way we're going to score is from a set-piece because there will be no creativity in that side. Not looking forward to watching us lump the ball up for 90 minutes .
  3. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/30092009/63/rodwell-european-clash.html According to that there's no Rodwell either .
  4. Yak and Saha are different types of strikers though. Saha is a striker that can create his own goals, but the Yak needs feeding (hence the song). Saha is going to graft because he's an energetic striker, Yak is not and never will be. As has been said; Moyes knew what he was buying and that was a goalscorer not a work horse; we have enough of them in the side to compensate for the Yak, especially if he has the type of striker that Saha is next to him.
  5. Yeah, I seen the interview on EvertonTV. He also said Jags has been doing ballwork and Coleman's career could have been ended by that infected blister!
  6. http://www.nsno.co.uk/news-5271.html FFS, not all our players need to run around like headless chicken, some of them have proper quality.
  7. http://www.clubcall.com/formula-1/alonso-ready-join-ferrari-954003.html Alonso to Ferrari.
  8. One of those manly men probably got a wedgie from their tight knickers.
  9. Mayday Parade - Anywhere But Here (Album)
  10. Yeah, arse bag is back unfortunately.
  11. Maybe it's on both channels then because it is definitely on ESPN.
  12. BATE is on ESPN isn't it? It's certainly being advertised there . Five have only got the rights to our home games Mike.
  13. He hasn't even played a full game yet, he's had a couple of niggles, and he's still getting used to the league. Give him a chance.
  14. Signing another winger would put Osman out of the side full stop, because he may be better in the middle but he's not as good as what we have in the middle. He'll have to get used to splinters.
  15. I didn't like the new Muse album either tbh, very weak.
  16. With our injury luck he'll be out for 3 months .
  17. Johnson is definitely a player I would like for us to sign.
  18. [quote name='galacticaracnid' date='27 Sep 2009 - 11:12' timestamp='1254046341' whats the odds on Naughton scoring? What are the odds Naughton even being on the bench more like.
  19. I reckon this is going to be one of our toughest games of the season and I'd take a scrappy 1-0 win tbh, especially as we won't have Saha.
  20. Welcome to TT, we have a few American's on here already and I hope you enjoy it here as much as they seem to.

    Pompey

Ultimately it's the 3 points that matter but the way you get to that 3 points should matter as well, and the way we crawled to it today was embarrassing IMO. Hoof ball returned in full measure, the whole side looked terrified and panic-ridden (especially the defence, which was dodgy in the extreme today), we lacked any sort of creativity and we weren't threatening at all because our attacks lacked any sort of purpose. I feared for us every time they got a set-piece because we failed to deal with every single one of them, that needs sorting out because better sides will exploit that. I feel sorry for Pompey today because they were by far the better side. I know they say it's the sign of a good side when they play crap and still win but we should be putting sides like Pompey away comfortably. Howard - Thank fuck for Tim Howard today because without him we'd have taken nothing from this game. My MOTM. Heitinga - A very bad day at the office for Johnny, he was all over the place and got skinned on far too many ocassions for someone of his quality. Yobo - He put in a much better shift than Distin today but I still expected better from him after the way he's performed lately. It wasn't his best game but he still put in some crucial blocks etc. Distin - Completely off the pace for me and was a big disappointment. Maybe the ocassion got to him going back to his old club and being boo'd but he was all over the place, and someone with his experience shouldn't be caught out the way he was today. Baines - Keep him away from set-pieces for a while because every single one of them hits the first man. I'm glad he was on the line to block that header at the end but apart from that I didn't really think he added anything of any note to our game. Osman - Is he infact an actor who has been hired to play the part of a footballer? I'm sick to death of him getting away with being the invisible fucking man; he contributed jack crap today and it's getting beyond a joke. I bet he's glad Pienaar is injured because that secures his place in the starting 11 for a few more weeks . Rodwell - Offered absolutely no protection for the defence and didn't really do anything full stop. Fellaini - He was the best of our midfielders but he was only OK IMO. He won some good headers and a couple of tackles but he visibly tired towards the end and I felt he should have come off. Pienaar - I don't think he was playing particularly well before he had to come off, he wasn't playing bad either mind. Much like Fellaini, he was OK. Cahill - Didn't really add anything to our overall play but had a couple of chances to score. That's about all I have to say about Cahill today. Saha - We'd have got a point at best without Saha today. We created virtually nothing for him all game, but the one real chance he did get he put in the back of the net. That shows his quality and you can't ask for anything more from him tbh.
  22. I'm there are a lot of people who'd like to fill you in.
