  1. Another perspective; I wonder if Sam still thinks it is his England side and envious atm, ha! Well done Jordan!
  2. Wouldn't be Yerry Mina a good CB for Everton? Tall, his jump reach is good as well, fast enough for PL as far as I see, passionate... He is linked to Fenerbahce (loan deal) however it could be a good addition to Everton as well. Turkish media says the deal is done but Spanish sources say he doesn't want to play in Turkish League and prefers EPL, so it can be a good deal.
  3. He is a CB but also can play as RB. We signed him for free last year and he was with us for only half of the last season. So can't tell everything about it but he was kind of slow to me but I still think he is a decent defender, my only concern is his pace. (Talking about Turkish league, of course, so double my concern for EPL)
  4. Not sure if you like the genre but it works for me nowadays Mike; (Actually these two... Both below)
  5. Congrats mate, wishing him a long and healthy life.
  6. Nah mate, It is only being played in colleges, no official senior leagues as far as I know. Not sure being hear about it suits football but rest is quite good enough.
  7. I think if FIFA or whoever developing it, somehow eliminate refs to stop the game and watch positions again from the screen, it can be more productive and less wasted time on the pitch. There are other refs in the room who are able to watch the suspicious positions from the screens where different angles are also available. So 1 main ref on the pitch and 1 main ref in VAR room (this guy will be responsible only if a misjudged position occurs) will be better. In general, I think it is a pretty good solution, it can be a good thing if it can be developed better.
  8. As far as I know, if there is anything suspicious, referees in the VAR room are warning the referee. Then, he decides on either using VAR or not.
  9. OK mate, I respect your opinion. In that WC for Argentina team, I would give credit to Di Maria, more than Messi. That's how I see.
  10. I don't think Messi was the one who dragged Argentina to the finals in the last WC. They were playing really defensively. Yes, he scored in the group stage and did what he supposed to the against Iran, Bosnia and Nigeria. I mean, c'mon... Let's check more serious oppositions: Switzerland? Belgium? The Netherlands? Germany? Let's admit, he is not as good as he is at Barcelona for Argentina. Reasons for it arguably but the fact is the outcome. Also, I am not a prisoner or something. As I mentioned before, I would go for Mbappe kind of player than any of them. So I am not a Ronaldo or Messi fan.
  11. 76 years old, still looks young at his age and producing top songs, performing long concerts. Such an amazing guy.
  12. Like many people, he used to be my idol when we were playing at the bars with my friends. I used to play bass, I listened to many better bass players and had the chance to work many of them such as Carles Benavent (I was a tour manager in a part of my life) but this guy has been an inspiration for me, beyond anyone I listened to and thought they are better bass players than Paul. He is a complete musician. That's why when I used to write articles for a music magazine in Turkey, I've made it all about The Beatles and backstories of the lyrics. I've got that legacy from my grandpa who lived in Liverpool for a short-term many years ago. That's why I thought of Liverpool as a magical place when I was a kid, never had the chance to visit yet but definitely, I will one day. It's the best carpool karaoke I've ever seen. Good job Corden, my hair stood on end. I realized how The Beatles and Paul inspired me and how much I've missed grandpa since he's gone.
  13. He is a good professional, a good person. I am not surprised at all but this; Wow...
  14. When you compare their individual/club based achievements, it is similar. When you compare their national achievements, Ronaldo is better than him. Ronaldo 33 years old and Messi 30 years old. I suspect Messi will be able to produce as much as Ronaldo at the same age, he will probably retire from the national team permanently this time as well. I've always considered Ronaldo as a good athlete and Messi as a god's gift. In fact, both have perfect knowledge of their bodies, weaknesses and strengths which makes them the best of all. But the biggest question is, as Ronaldo proved himself at Lisboa, at United and now at Real Madrid, could Messi have done the same? Could he succeed in a different team, different scenario? Probably we will never know because he has no intention of leaving Barcelona. In my opinion, what makes Barcelona special is their commitment to their formation. Same football in every aspect from the youth team to the senior. That's where and how he developed himself as a legendary striker. He is still one of the best though. It was always a pleasure to watch him and I was lucky enough to see him on the pitch alive. Sampaoli, on the other hand, can make himself a career in another business. If Argentina playing worse than Morocco or Saudi Arabia, then somebody needs to say "Wait a minute, this is not good..." I think he will be either fired or resigned if they can not make it to the knock-out phase.
  15. Wow, Otamendi should have been sent off... Jerk.
  16. Well, it is ok to criticize after the game but on an ongoing game, I don't know...
  17. On the other hand, looks like Argentinian fans are as brainless as Kopites... Those protests when Caballero has the ball on an ongoing match and there is still a chance.
  18. It was a terrible mistake. Send it out, why do you even push it that hard? I would punch my TV if it was a Turkish goalkeeper
  19. First Karius, then De Gea, then Caballero... I don't wanna see Pickford saying "Hold my beer"...
  20. I really want Saudis to score. Their effort deserves it. They are playing more entertaining football than Uruguay.
  21. Terrible, terrible football from Uruguay against Saudi Arabia so far. However, they are ahead 1-0.
  22. That's another case haha, Chelsea Fan can't spell their stadium.
