  1. I didn't mind him that much, he was better than some of the shite that played at the same time as him. Still a pretty dire footballer though. Remember when Ginola played for us? I hated him before hand and hated him even more during. He was bloody terrible at us.
  2. I think that shows. It's true though, he started out as a right mid, but the fact that he can defend but can't move a ball forwards to save his frigging life kind of put the breaks on his career as England's right wing meastro. Oh the things Hibbert could have seen and done if he knew how to score a goal, or pass a ball, or put in a dangerous cross, or beat a man... Tony can dream though. Tony can dream.
  3. It's truly terifiying to think how much technology, especially within the games industry, has moved on. There was a fascinating programme on BBC4 a few weeks ago by Charlie Brooker on the games industry called Gameswipe. Very interesting and as it was Charlie Brooker doing it it was also hilarious.
  4. Brett Angel Per Kroldrup Idan Tal Mitch Ward Earl Barret Espen Baardsen Claus Thompson Alex Nyarko John Spencer Gareth Farrely Ibrahim Bakayoko There's just a couple for you to chew on. I could go on and on and on with more players worse than Jo, but I think that 11 is probably enough.
  5. Anyone getting Modern Warfare 2 when it comes out tomorrow? Due to the £50 price tag I had decided to give it a miss but found out that Sainsbury's will be selling it for £26. Bargain. Might actually go for that.
  6. Howard- Very good performance from him yesterday. Hibbert- Fairly quiet from him due to very little threat down the right hand side, if Zines was attacking down to right he would have had alot more joy. Own goal was silly but with the pace he was coming into the box i think it was very hard to do much else. Yobo- His best performance for a very long time and my MOTM Distin- Fairly solid but spooned a few clearances Baines- He is starting to regain some sort of form and it was good to see one of our players always trying to get the ball moving forwards Gosling- Still not up to scratch. He was in right place at right time for the goal but his all round play is still well off what is needed for a premier league footballer, in his defence he is young and playing in a makeshift squad, he still needs to step it up though. Fellaini- Did ok. You could see that he was getting frustrated with the fact that everytime he went in for a challenge the referee adjudged it to be a foul. Rodwell- The lad needs a rest and Scott Parker (who was brilliant today) pretty had the best of Rodwell all game. Heitinga cleaned up alot of is mistakes today, yo cold see he was tired and needs a rest, but until Neville gets back I cant see him getting one. Heitinga- His best performance away from centre half. He was a beast today. More of the same please. Cahill- Quiet again but I am hesitant to criticise him as he had been asked to play wide left. His close control was good today but he is not a left winger so brought little to the team Saha- Scored a very good goal but did very little else, he had very little service though. Yak/Neill- Both did very little when they came into the fray IMO. It was backs against the wall by the time they came in.
  7. I heard this on radio pre-match as well. They said it was just a knock/strain though, cant see it being a long term problem.
  8. I havn't slagged him off, but I wont praise him for scoring a lucky goal and doing very little else throughout the game. He might be young but he has gone backwards from where he started. When he broke into the team last year (Was it Sunderland or Boro last year in the league?) and he looked confident on the ball and actually took players on and got the ball past people. He just doesn't seem to be able to do that anymore, he has one trick and tries it over again. I would have thought that he would really really be out to impress at the moment in terms of a genuine performance at the moment. I know the lads young and not a superstar, but the way he is progressing i'm not convinced that he'll make it at the top level. Fair play for scoring today, but he needs to begin kicking on if he wants to make something of himself. Either by making a difference from the bench or looking at least comfertable in the first team. In his defence he is being put into a weakened team, maybe he will start to improve with better players around him but he shouldn't really rely on good players around him to look good.
  9. Arguablly his best performance away from centre half.
  10. This. He's been living off the laurels of the Liverpool goal for too long now.
  11. He actually needs to score two goals for us now before we can riot so that he can get into a positive goal tally. Unless he plays unti he is 75 this could be very tricky.
  12. I gave up on the video feed in the second half becasue it was such poor quality, i'm going to wait until the ever reliable MOTD (ha) to make p my mind but Johnny had a very good game today, as did Yobo, and it sounds like Howard saved us the thre points with some important saves in the last 15 minutes.
  13. Thank god for that. Fantastic 3 points. Just what we needed. Thank god. I can enjoy my week now.
  14. Please finish. Please finish. Please finish.
  15. 2 goals, 5 bookings and 4 substitutions. It all adds up really.
  16. Shit. 5 minutes added time. I cant take this. I really cant. I need another weekend to recover from this game.
  17. The shape is very odd. Looks something like this -------Howard-------- ----Yobo Distin------ Hibbert---------Baines ------Neill-Heitinga-- --------Rodwell------ ---Felli----Cahill -------Yak---------- Very defensive. Basically a 2-2-2-1-2-1 formation. Attacking verve. Nice. Or 6-3-1. Reminds me of the later days of Smiths reign. I went to Leicster away and we fielded 9 defenders in the team at one point.
  18. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/bbc_radio_five_live_sports_extra I gave up watchin 15 minutes ago. Just listen to it on this radio link.
  19. If someone from either team doesn't get sent off before the end of this game I would be very surprised, it's very much a full blooded battle. COYB. PLEASE please please please hold on. We need this, SO much.
  20. Shit the bed this is getting nervy. Diamanti is causing us problems and he has brought Hines back into the game.
  21. He didnt look to be carrying a knock but he was probably taken off as a precaution as he's only just come back from injury and he looked tired and was not really able to get involved.
  22. Shows what I bloody know eh?
  23. West Ham about to bring on their last defender. They have a hell of alot of attacking players on the pitch now. If we can hit them on the break soon we could really kill this game off. TBH I can see West Ham getting the nxt goal though
