  1. Still no news about the car, or any progress with an investigation. Going to see my family friend tomorrow...hopefully some good news...I hope so anyway.
  2. Hollyoaks has got so much better over recent months. Not going to go into it now, but the stories are only going to get better too! Keep watching...and if your not...start! I have never watched 8 out of 10 cats...although I have heard that it is very very good...The Friday Night Project is a pure class program. I was also impressed with Ian Wright on tonights show. He is a decent presenter, light hearted and seemed to be enjoying himself. I was also well impressed when he wore the coat of cash and ran into the crowd. When the Arsenal supporter stood next to him before the advertisement break, Ian Wright grabbed the Arsenal crest and kissed it! Nice to see an ex-footballer still loving his club. Now, about sorting Duncan Ferguson out with a television presenters course and getting him on next years show! If Vinny Jones and do it, Dunc would be awesome! lmao!
  3. I know...I really had hoped that Moyes had another two decent signings left in him before the transfer market closes...and as much as I would like to see us signing Inzaghi (that name would look so kewl on the back of my new shirt!), I dont hold out much hope. But we can dream!
  4. oh please, god no! inzaghi would be class though...fingers crossed.
  5. Its a good point to raise L_Blue. Most of the away games can be found on foreign stations, and can be watched streaming live on the internet in most cases. Plus, I have Sky with the whole game being showed after 2200hrs the same day. Therefore, I think I will wait until EFC start streaming the away games and friendlies Thanks
  6. thanks Adam's, I was typing it in as it was being announced...I have amended my original post accordingly for people coming into this thread. Cheers
  7. Well as official as it can get...just been released on BBC 5 Live. BBC Sport reports "Serie A sides Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina have been demoted to the second division for their involvement in Italy's match-fixing scandal. AC Milan will stay in Serie A but will lose 15 points and will be kicked out of the Champions League. Juventus were also stripped of their last two titles and had 30 points deducted meaning that they are almost certain to stay down for two seasons. Lazio were penalised seven points while Fiorentina suffered a 12 point penalty. The clubs will have three days to appeal to the Federal Court. The FIGC (Italian football's governing body) must hand Uefa the lists of teams which will be involved in European competitions by 25 July. The tribunal in Rome investigated charges that the clubs, their management, football officials and referees tried to influence the outcome of matches by interfering with the appointment of officials. In May transcripts were published of telephone conversations between former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi and Italian Football Association officials, discussing refereeing appointments in the 2004-05 season. FIGC prosecutor Stefano Palazzi also charged 26 individuals for sporting fraud and violating fairness and probity. All four clubs implicated denied the accusations. Thirteen of Italy's World Cup-winning squad play for the clubs involved, with five at Juventus, who also number Patrick Vieira, Lilian Thuram, David Trezeguet, Pavel Nedved and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their ranks. or visit the BBC pages here
  8. I have just posted the results as they were read out Click here for results!
  9. Announced a little later than expected, allegedly to coincide with the Italian evening eight o'clock news bulletins...here is the result of the trial... Juventus = Relegated To Seria B -30pts! AC Milan = 15-point deficit, and have had 44 points taken from their tally for the 2005-06 season. Fiorentina = Relegated To Seria B - 12pts! Lazio = Relegated to Seria B - 7 pts!
  10. the front page of my website is a piczo page...although we have changed it around a fair bit since we first started it. www.fc-ssl.com If you need any help or advice, PM me and I will see what I can do. Thanks
  11. ah, my mistake, I wrongly assumed that people were watching. sorry Everton Lad...I should buff up on my reading! DOH!
  12. that is both awful and disgusting. Nobody's life is worth a car...regardless of who they are and how expensive it is. It is horrible to think that people will just sit off and watch as another's life is taken for something material. Pathetic.
  13. latest from Sky Sports website... The verdicts in Italy's match-fixing scandal will be announced at 19:00 local time (18:00 BST) on Friday evening, after the closure of the stock exchange. Four of Serie A's biggest clubs and 26 officials from the footballing fraternity are under investigation at Rome's Olympic Stadium for alleged match-fixing of domestic games. If found guilty the clubs are expected to be punished severely, with relegation, expulsion from European competitions and points deductions set to be meted out. Juventus are expected to suffer the worst outcome, but reports in Italy suggest Milan could be the only club to avoid relegation. The verdicts are set to be broadcast live on Italian television and the clubs will have three days to appeal the decision after discovering their fate. The Federal Court will hear their appeals and make a final decision within a week to ensure the Italian Football Federation are able to submit their list of clubs to be involved in next season's European competitions by July 25.
  14. into my room 101... Terrorists... People who shout during a minutes silence and people with novelty ringtones which always go off during a minutes silence, People who insist on spouting drivel about their club, when they never go to the game... Sweaty armpits... That person who always sits next to you on a bus, who stinks! People who sit behind you at the match who have feet like Crusty The Clown and randomly, but persistantly keep kicking your lower back. Untrustworthy people. The smell of stale coffee and farts on a Virgin standard class train carriage. The queue at half time for the gents lav's under the top balcony of main stand at Goodison... Oh..and chewing gum on the seats which stick to your jeans... People who dont keep promises or arrangements (usually Virgin Trains That fat bald tattoo'd man who is always poolside when you are on holiday...usually wearing a Leed's Football Club shirt (which is usually beer and sweat stained and about three seasons out of date. The old people who seemingly deliberately rush in front of you only to walk slow...or even worse...stop when you are shopping in town. Toothache or earache... People who still have England flags on their cars and houses, Rain immediately after you have washed and waxed your car...ARGH! The Sun newspaper... People who slag off the City of Liverpool. and...thats about it....for now... I sound like Victor Meldrew when I read that back! lol...
  15. It has been happening for a while up here too...in fact one poor man was dropping his family off at John Lennon Airport a couple of years ago when two youths jumped into his car and tried to drive off. As the innocent bloke tried to intervene, he was dragged under the car and was sadly killed. Thankfully those responsible were caught and sent down...but it will never bring him back I just want to remind everybody that this is still happening and to on your guard. I would hate for something similar to happen to anybody else I know.
  16. I can vividly remember that day... anguish, pain, hope...all rolled in to one. incidentally, was David Unsworth's hair really that bad! lmao! Brilliant video...thanks.
  17. Sorry to post something so serious...but please beaware of a recent spate of car-jackings in Liverpool. A very close family friend was subject of this today, near to the Tesco which is built on the grounds of the old Deysbrook Barracks. I don't know if all the recent vehicles have been stolen the same way, however at about 1830 in Thursday evening, our friend pulled up at the lights. A 'hoodie' opened the rear pavement side door of the car and then said "Sorry mate, wrong car". The youth then walked off. As my friend has got out of the car, another similar dressed youth has jumped in and wheelspinned off. The basic advice is lock your cars doors at all times, be aware, and be prepared to drive off at any time. Just wanted to give all a heads-up. I dont know any of the stolen vehicle details, other than it is a Toyota Avensis Verso. Thanks.
  18. Its a very strange thing. I remember the commentators of the world cup final saying that the result would be heard on Monday 10th, but then it was Wednesday 12th, and we are still waiting. I agree, somebody will be made a scapegoat. If it is proved, something should be done. If everybody gets away with it, which i think unlikely, I think that would be almost as damaging as all being relegated - nobody would have any faith in their football, or their legal set up.
  19. strange...don't know why it won't work on your PC. hmmm....?
  20. Nice one...always nice to see somebody dedicated. Piczo is a good way for people to learn the basics of web design and stuff - and you seem to have mastered all of the basics. Well done... Andy
  21. and you can sue for damages and compensation! excellent!
  22. Amen, I completely agree with everything that GoldfishMemory said. The current state of players diving and basically put, cheating, is ruining the beautiful game in my opinion. The attempts of many players trying the influence the referee's decision is also pathetic. I really hope that the FA clamps down on this type of behaviour. I know it is the age old discussion, however, if a fourth referee was allowed to view instant slowed down replay's, the correct decisions may be made. I know this facility was available during the world cup, however I can not help but think that the officials were told to refrain from using it wherever possible. Video replays have been used in other sports, such as cricket and rugby and have not effected the play at all.
  23. it means a lot to raise the level and inspire both players, the club, and their fans alike, but that said, he needs to keep his feet planted firmly on the ground. As we now as well as the next supporter, the Premiership can be an unforgiving place at the best of times, and to raise such expectations can well come back and haunt him towards the end of the season. All credit for coming out with such a sweeping comment, however, I think he should have waiting until he has seen how his team performs, at least up until christmas, then come out with such comments if they are doing like Wigan was last season. It is nice to see ambition though...all credit.
  24. its amazing how small the world really is....when you hear of such pathetic scene's you never think that somebody who you speak to on a regular basis would be involved. Glad to hear that Xavier is okay. Best wishes mate
