  1. I know its not the done thing to post immediately after your own post , but the compilation of Duncan Ferguson's goal's brings a tear to a proud Evertonian's eye...it charts his career at Everton... Open up Windows Media Player, right click on the main screen, click on Open URL and add the below web address and watch. (unfortunately just clicking on it will not work. http://mms://play.wm.Everton.servecast.net...video/97223.wmv
  2. I'm thinking of subscribing to EvertonTV on the official website. Does anybody already subscribe?....and if so, is it worth it? I know that £3.99 a month is not a massive amount of money - but I just wanted to get other people's opinion and thoughts on their service. For those who don't yet know anything about it CLICK HERE for the sign in pageor CLICK HERE for the preview page. Thanks Andy
  3. np, always a pleasure...I get RSS feeds from most football media's so I can keep my own website updated...
  4. Appreciated, not the most reliable for sport news...but 96.7 Radio City reports this... Didi Hamann will sign for Manchester City "in the next 24 hours" after telling Bolton he no longer wished to honour a deal he agreed with them earlier this month. Liverpool released at statement on Tuesday morning revealing the veteran 32-year-old midfielder had agreed terms with Bolton. However, it has now transpired he will spend the shortest amount of time possible as a Bolton player, with a move to City being sealed on Wednesday. In a statement, the club said: "Bolton wish to clarify that although Didi Hamann signed a contract with the club, he has since had a change of heart and will sign for another football club in the next 24 hours." Although they have refused to clarify where Hamann will end up, the move to City seems automatic. Blues boss Stuart Pearce has been attempting to push through the deal for the past seven days, with Bolton resisting, claiming Hamann had a watertight deal with them. However, with Sam Allardyce now relenting, Hamann is free to become Pearce's fourth summer signing following veteran striker Paul Dickov, French midfielder Ousmane Dabo and goalkeeper Joe Hart. Pearce stated on Monday he expected to have at least one new signing to parade this week. The number could be swelled still further should talks over the transfer of Steve Sidwell from Reading reach a satisfactory conclusion. Hamann's arrival bolsters the experience within City's ranks and could also pave the way for the exit of Joey Barton, who has so far rejected a chance to extend his own contract with the Blues, which still has a year to run. Pearce has been at pains to stress his intention to keep Barton but given the general disaffection for the former England under-21 star around the Blues camp, any bid in excess of £3million is likely to prove attractive.
  5. lol at mikeo 1571 answermachine message. He Mikeo needs a doctor, that dude on the phone needs a speech therapist
  6. Despite him coming from the other side of the park, having considered it today, I would not really mind if he came our way, but I think it is very unlikely! Chances are he isn't but you never can be sure... Moyes has been very shrewd over recent signings and played his cards very close to his chest (at long last!)...I still get the feeling that Moyes has two signings left in him before the deadline.
  7. The worst in my opinion is the dialler system. It basically calls random numbers until somebody answers. It then immediately hangs up and lists the telephone number for a recall from a telemarketer. I had three in a week several months ago, and was plagued with telemarketers for weeks afterwards. My philosophy is to never buy anything from a cold caller.
  8. well aparently, a liberal democrats meeting held at the town hall last night voted to reject the road naming proposals. All but one councillor, the one who proposed it, voted against this ridiculous idea...thankfully! Amazing.
  9. I certainly hope not, lets put it that way. I have not heard anything about Arteta not being at the pre-season training camp, but that doesn't mean anything I guess. It would be a shame if Everton did let him go now that we may have sorted out out defensive woes, then we take away the heart of midfield.
  10. thats another good issue to raise IMO. Think about the proposals that Liverpool City Council have put forward in the last 5 years, leading upto the European Capital of Cultyre bid. Before I go into this, I fully support the title of European Capital of Culture, and I think that city of Liverpool is more than apt. However, we had plans for the 'Fourth Grace' which was shelved... We had plans for the trams....which was shelved... We had plans for a Mersey Barrier, which would generate enough power from the Mersey tides to power the city centre...again...shelved...and, We had plans for the highest residencial apartments in European...guess what...shelved... I can not help but think that Liverpool City Council may be running these plans through consultancy agents/companies, possibly at times of local bi-elections? I know, a sweeping statement, but you dont tend to hear of such grand plans being shelved in other similar cities such as Manchester. It seems the powers that be raise issues, hold debate, have consultancy agenies/companies step in, then forget about it - like its just a exercise,or maybe a personal money making exercise...?
  11. Bizarre law...but true... In Virginia, the Code of 1930 has a statute which prohibits corrupt practices or bribery by any person other than political candidates! So John Prescott is not alone! and, in case you didn't know... Rice paper does not have any rice in it! Compeltely random one's there!
  12. personally I think it is a disgrace and I agree, it is politcal correctness gone mad. The slave trade is a horrible thing. But that said, Liverpool was built on the foundations of this trade, along the banks of the Mersey. Regardless of whether we change the name of any roads, streets or avenues, nothing is going to change the history. I heard a debate on Radio Merseyside's Roger Philips phone in this afternoon, which said that changing the names can be looked upon as a covering up exercise. The argument being that following Hitlers rule, many German places had their names changed, as well as the history books in Germany being re-written. This did absolutely nothing for the attitudes or future of the country...in fact, it hindered them. Some of the youth grew up knowing very little about Hitlers reign and it because an underground following, which stemmed into neo-nazism. We should have a permanent memorial for those who passed through Liverpool as part of the slave trade, not cover the issue up.
  13. I know that Carragher was only on for a matter of minutes... however, practising penalties on the training ground with fresh legs is one thing, but taking penalties under pressure after 120 minutes is a completely different thing. I think that the psychology has a lot to do with it, as well as a good level of arogance of many of the players. Its the same old story, which is not acceptable, especially since the likes of Germany have not missed a penalty since 1982 prior to this world cup.
  14. It amazes me how quick they can get this kind of stuff made... ...but enjoy... CLICK HERE TO PLAY THE ZIDANE GAME
  15. sell sell sell in my opinion. I have never seen an Everton keeper who is so unpredictable, unreliable and clumsy.
  16. Sometimes happens on my own forum. I believe it is not so much as a problem with people logging onto this specific website, but the server, which may hold thousands of other forums and websites. It is frustrating though...and also keeps happening to me on here, but rest assured, this site is better than all the other EFC forums around.
  17. poor Sol! nah, made me laugh!
  18. fcssl

    Rio's Mum

    lmao....class
  19. What a header! France looked very shaky at set pieces
  20. Yup yup, completely agree with Neville Southall...definately a hero. Especially when he threw his dummy of out his cot at half time and sat against the post at the Park End waiting for second half...class. Brilliant keeper, and a super servant for Everton. And again, completely agreed wih Adam...Franny Jeffers, greedy and believed his own hype. Shame, he could have been a talent.
  21. the other issue is that Kenwright would have to dip into his pocket to but the nets from Rapid Hardware... In summary... NO CHANCE! lol
  22. You are quite right, there was a mobile phone incident at Anield, but there was definately also a mobile phone thrown at Goodison also, I can remember it...it was the FA game against Man U last year, plus I found this on the internet... click here for the article
  23. The salmon pink one was awful... Sad though it is, I collect the EFC shirts, and have done from a very very early age, however I never bought that one... Not because it was just pink, it was horrible! I really like the new homeshirt, first training shirt with the Chang logo on the back and the new away shirt...time to start saving again!
  24. Jamo11 that is genius! I have never heard that before! lol! I though of another anyway... DISGRACE - Daniel Amokachi (Apart form being very very disappointing after that the performances he put in during the '94 World cup - didn't he say he hated being a player at Everton and demanded to be released during the Joe Royle era?)
  25. I thought exaclty the same, you want an easier run in to the end if possible. WIth the exception of Portsmouth and arguable West Ham, thats not an easy ending at all.
