  1. I was only a toddler at the time and the last time I saw it replayed was 95' cup final day so it's not really a memory as such for me but will be youtubing it later!!!
  2. It's surely Blissett when Watford were 'good' - Barnes out wide. We beat them in the cup final when Gray scored the diving header (2-0 wasn't it?). They were pony in the prem years and I can't remember them ever scoring many.
  3. Fat Man Amir Zaki was also very close to joining him in Spain - Malaga I think.
  4. Lose the spoilers!!! It means you only get 1 guess and there's no point guessing as you have to look at the answer to see if you're right, then you've got the correct answer like it or not!!!
  5. After Queen Vic reign - Wigan definately and Swansea as an educated guess with them being Welsh.
  6. Stoke players are Sorensen, Crouch and Upson?
  7. Raul hasn't done bad at Schalke, I imagine a move for him would have got this response 2 years ago.
  8. Do you know jack then or just a passing comment in general chit chat?
  9. Oh you were talking about Man.City again - my bad!
  10. But we beat fulham and haven't played spurs yet!!! - I'm confused!
  11. Confirmed... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12016/7296297/Rodwell-gets-England-call Well done lad!
  12. Money is the main problem and that isn't totally Moyes' fault but he did sign Bily for £8-9m - when Adam Johnson was a cheaper option at Boro (at the time) and N'Zogboa had cost Wigan £6m in the transfer window earlier. He signed Beattie for £6m when Ashton cost £3m in that same window and Kroldrup... no comment - so partly Moyes has been to blame for not spending well when he's had substantial money (his other signings speak for themselves) but the fact remains the main route of our problems is money and that's little fault of Moyes. As for decision making... no we don't have a Messi or Ronaldo (and I'm pretty sure they'd both start if we had them!!!) and yes we do have Phillip Neville but when Phillip comes off injured in the 1st half and we're 2-0 down fams don't want to see a centre back coming on to replace him and when 1-0 down vs a newly promoted side at home playing 4-5-1 then people don't want to see the only striker taken off for a midfielder... Sometimes Moyes' decisions disappoint me tactically - it's as if he's stubborn at times but I love the man and would be gutted if he were to leave. I say leave as he's too expensive to be sacked and BK wouldn't dream of doing that because of the loyalty he's already shown/ mutual respect.
  13. Why not wear black arm bands with poppies printed on or something that sticks onto the shirt - neither would mean poppies are printed on the shirts if that's the official line.
  14. The folk going to games aren't calling for the head of Moyes.
  15. ...and how is this siege mentality going to start? I'm a realist - for a siege mentallity to happen something must occur first! I can't just turn up against Wolves and decide 'right I'm going to promote a siege mentality today' - well I could, especially dressed as a Smurf but it's not going to happen - something needs to happen on the pitch or in the boardroom. I'm not a Moyes basher so the underlined statement doesn't apply to me.
  16. I love Moyes but this is an excellent point. Kendall remains the most successful manager in our history and even then we can look back and say what if.. re. Euro ban.
  17. A siege mentallity would come if we went into admin or went down - it's not going to just come from playing poorly and picking up the odd win to keep our heads above water. It does matter why QPR fans gave great support because their recent success is the plain and obvious reason.
  18. Yes it makes a massive difference but once again you're missing the point and comparing a team who have just been promoted for the first time in many years and have not long been taken over by a £££ owner and are now watching a team far superior to what they have over the past decade... on the other hand we're a team who have not signed a player for 3 years, sold some of our best players, not getting the run of the green all too often and generally going stale... investment is pretty much the only thing that will bring back any optimism to Goodison Park - where there's optimism there is atmosphere. Cue the but Man.City fans got behind 'us' in the 3rd tier of English football.. true but that's siege mentallity, Leeds fans did too. If we (Everton) were to go that low we (Evertonians) would be there week in week out getting us back to where we belong. But we're not at that stage yet, we are in a stale and sorry position and it's gone on for too long and I will not blame Evertonians for not making much of an atmosphere at the moment as I'm finding it hard to sing about much myself when I'm at GP.
  19. I'd love us to go big and offer Beckham a player/assistant manager role at the club when his contract expires later this month - ridiculous I know!!!
  20. I've been trying to say this for a long while on here... corporate facilities!!! "Crucially it also envisages Goodison becoming an economically-viable SMART stadium that could be used 365 days a year to generate money instead of only for nine months." http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2011/11/05/royal-blue-jair-interest-in-everton-fc-shows-it-could-be-time-to-start-making-the-football-quarter-vision-more-than-just-a-dream-100252-29722681/
