  1. We don't have a striker crisis at all.

What we have is a manager who insists on playing one at a time, rightly or wrongly. Give Beckford a holding partner and he will score for fun.

I hear what you're saying but do we have the other players for a 4-4-2? No. For a 4-4-2 to work you need 2 natural wingers who are going to get cross after cross in the box and 2 centre midfielders who are going to win/control the ball and get it out wide or through the middle.

When saha came on last night we had 2 up top - saha had to drop deep to try to make something happen every attack - we need natural wingers who are going to bring the attack.

At the moment the only way we could play 4-4-2 is if we play launch it to a target man and hope for knock-ons - if this is what we want we may as well play Felli up there.

  2. We need a striker and yes we have a striker crisis - Beckford is the only one who offers an outlet and he can't hold the ball up, Vic can hold the ball up (sometimes) but doesn't have a footballing brain e.g. movement/ positions. Yak/Saha's best days are behind them - each have the movement, finish and hold-up play but neither have the fitness (and maybe desire any more).

Plainly we need a striker (and a winger too!)

  3. I actually didn't think he was as good as against QPR (still very good though), but maybe that was more to do with him not being the only one who played well last night.

Agree - he wasn't the best player last night, but another cracking performance. I love the fact he's not affraid of shooting, maybe a little too much e.g. pre-arteta goal but fortune favours the brave!

  4.

This would annoy me - we have Heitinga already who is a much better play. At least if we signed someone like Onouha he could play right back and be cover should distin/heitinga get injured.

Moyes has said there's been no Jags bids on SSN.

Sorry no fresh bids - also no bids for Yobo... from Moyes.

  5.

According to the article Arsenal are planning a £28m bid, why should we then accept 25? wink.png Id take the £28m to be honest. These two players are not unreplacable. Much better option then selling Felli and Baines.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton are replacing Jagielka with Liam Ridgewell if this deal comes off.

  6. I'd go with £25m, 15 for Jags and 10 for Mikel.

It's a sad state where I'm talking about selling one of my favourite players (Jags) but both are replacable with what we have already. I would only want this to happen if it meant we could ease our financial mess along with bringing in a RB/CB cover (Onouha maybe), a winger and a striker. I'd be pissed off if we sold and signed players for positions that we don't need strengthening in especially centre mid!!!

  7. No Mucha?

Howard hasn't done anything to merit being dropped in my opinion, though he should be dropped if he has a few poor games to show him his position is not untouchable. In saying this I do however expect to see Mucha in goal vs Sheff.Utd.

  8. Can't agree with that stuff myself, I have no problem with him watching them. His kids are united fans and he took his lad to the match.

He's not our best player but he is a good captain, he does a lot for the team off the pitch, organising team meals and that kind of thing, keeping the lads together.

He isn't the best captain we've ever had but the lad doesn't deserve to be called the worst ever.

I don't give a flying fook if Captain Phil bangs 20 prossies a day in a man.utd shirt with rooney on the back on his days off as long as he gives his all for our team in training and on match days which he consistently does - yesterday was an off day, he and EFC will come back stronger.

Disclaimer: I have no evidence of Phillip Neville having sexual intercourse with prostertutes whilst wearing a Manchester United shirt.

  9. I'm going to get shot at for this but if we sold Jags for £12m, repaid a bit and had £6m to spend, then I'd go for SWP for £2m (the reported fee he's off to Bolton for). It's got to the point where he's the only prem proven option we have - he's fast and direct something we sorely lack - he wouldn't be my first choice - N'Zogbia was and probably not my 2nd choice but here's where we're at!

  10. i'd prefer anichebe there before rodwell cos he is just dogwank on the right and it's stifling his development!! i'd prefer puttin osman back there before rodwell too cos osman did FUCK all in the centre yesterday so couldn't have been worse

Osmans worst performance in a long time yesterday - the amount of times he gave the ball away was very uncharacteristic.
