  1. Danny Cadamarteri for his 1st few games.

Joe Parkinson would have been an England international if it hadn't have been for the cruel injury that ended his career - he was as good as Keane on his day 95/96 season - class.

Unsworth should have been better than he was after his England cap.

    Jeffers - what a waste.

Walter Smith's Everton should have been/done much better - Materazzi, Dacourt and Collins - class!

  2. Same can be said for Donny Tourette, more to being scouse than being born here. Eg. Ricky Tomlinson(born in b'pool) > Cilla Black. Your sense of humour or jus plain childishness is not fitting with the scouse mentality. You started off well with your 1st post(guessing u were trolling) but then much like a Piers Morgan-esque arsewhipe you've jus shit in everyones ears for your own amusement. Am guessing you're really a spurs fan, cos theres no way you're really an Evertonian. Either stop being a cunt or fuck off! I tend to disagree with Hafnia meself, but he probably has the majority of peoples views atm, and even if he doesn't theres no reason to be an absolute prick about different views. Argue... lose, win or agree to disagree, there the 3 options no point in goin in circles jus because you're a petulant idiot. You have wasted too much of my time and many others with your petty replies and immature responses. Yer mum and dad probably moved away from L'pool cos they were ashamed to have such a wanker of a son(assuming your male, although i wouldn't be surprised if your 1st name was tam seems how blood thirsty you are). Apologies to any one else who reads this post, i'd inbox it to him but he'd jus start a topic about me not messaging any one else anyway

Maybe wouldn't have worded it like that but I think you've summed this chap up for many on here. Past a joke really.

  3. Rodwell is the one I'd cash in on to fund our summer (provided Fellaini definitely stays). I feel he's the one we'd miss least of the players we could sell for big money.

The problem is, either Moyes doesn't want to sell or there's no one interested at the price we're looking for.

The one I wouldn't mind losing not from that list is Arteta - if we could still get £12m from Spain then I think we could bring in 2 natural wingers either perm or on-loan.

I think Rodwell and Barkley have to be seen as our future central midfield duo/ trio if we can keep Fellaini too. Rodwell/Barkley can be our Scholes/Butt for the next 10 seasons - I think it'd be great to see them progress through the ranks together.

  4. Noobie, only been here a few weeks.

So we all agree we need a winger, with pace.

    Can we think of anyone?

And who we bump out to raise the funds?

It seemed so simple at the end of last season - okay we've got no budget, we're use to that, but we've got players we can sell to raise funds...

Vaughan - we got rid quickly and got a fair price if the reported £2.5m is true

Yobo - the turks haggled and their dodgy past has come back to bite them on the arse anyway

Yak - surely Leicester or West Ham would have him? Evidently not...

Bily - he could be easily replaced for a natural winger and he may command a decent price but...?

Heitinga - can we afford to have back-up of this quality when we've got other positions that desperately need strengthening - obviously we do!

Above is around £20m worth of assets we could cope without with wages on top. For whatever reason we've only shifted one of the above and that being the lowest paid and probably the lowest value asset.

By not selling one of our more valuable assets it has meant we have missed out on what I believe to be our number 1 target N'Zogbia, so what's plan B? Who knows? I hope Moyes does but I have my doubts...

Anyway without selling we'll be lucky to pick up someone on-loan - it worked with Arteta and Pienaar but they were out in the limbo - I can only think of Bentley/Bellamy/SWP who are in a similar situation to these but would Spurs/City allow us to take these on an initial loan? Would we want them?

Hearing about Leon from Madrid kind of made sense on-loan but would he come? Or is Holtby available on-loan or is he going to get a crack a Schalke this season?

Basically there are still players out there, it'd be a lot easier if we could shift a few of our fringe players but we'll see...

Which leaves me with a famous EFC current era quote "Watch this space..."

  5. Just wondering how long you need to be on this forum for before the rules dont apply to you and mods (mod) let you get away with stuff they don't let others get away with? If you applied basic common sense you'd think the posters who have been on the site the longest and should know better and it would be the newer posters given some slack. StevO clearly thinks the opposite.

Do prison guards let convicts get away with re-offending in jail, you know, once they have got to know them ?

  6.

If we have pacy wingers, will our attacking options keep up with them?

If (player X) breaks out of defence with the ball, how many players would be with him by the time he was ready to cross?

My guess is only Beckford, as our team are quite slow on the break. I think wingers would be great, but we need pace in the middle to compliment I think.

We'd have a totally different set up with natural width. Our central midfielders would be able to move up the pitch quicker - players like rodwell, fellaini and barkley have enough athletisism to do that, the reason they don't is that noone is breaking ahead so our attacks are held up. Also Saha/Yak/Beckford won't be dragged out wide trying to create something themselves as they so often do. WE NEED WINGERS!!!

  7. Direct, pacy winger - the sad thing is that I'm sure there was a thread like this last season and I posted the same and even worse the season before that and the same was posted once again.

It's been plainly obvious for at least 3 seasons that we've lacked pace out wide and for whatever reason we've not been able to do anything about it - we had our chance and we signed Bilyaletdinov.

I believe we will sign a pacy winger on-loan again but this will be in Jan and will only be for 3 months - don't get me wrong I can't wait for his return but we need someone now!!!
