  1. This does not excite me at all but if and that's a big if (as you can see!) Moyes does want him then I can kind of see why...

It'll be for against the teams we couldn't break down last season especially at home... wolves, west ham, wigan, newcastle, bolton, reading etc. teams we should have beaten but they just absorbed our pressure. There comes a time where all else has failed, maybe 75min +, where you've just got to pump the ball forward at a big man and hope to win the knock downs. Bothroyd would be better than what we have for this scenario.

So where I'm not showing any excitement over this potential signing (which I believe is just paper talk anyway) I can see why Moyes would want him if we actually do!

  2. Any swap deal would need to involve milner and/or a.johnson for it to be a good deal for us - the players that will be offered will be 2 from SWP/Bellamy/Bridge/Boyata/M.Johnson plus £10m or 1 from Santa Cruz/Jo/Onhuora plus £10m - I would be v.pissed off if it's either of the later scenario's but to be honest if we got a deal say Milner/Johnson plus Bellamy/Boyata/money then I would be tempted.

  3. dann's alright..jerome is fuckin gash though..he ain't fit to put the little plastic things on the end of anichebe's laces

He's not the best but he's still managed to give our back 4 the run around a few times in recent years - £12m for Dann and £4m for Jerome sounds about right.

Stoke have no debt, a very wealthy chairman (who is married to an Evertonian), relatively low wage bill at the moment and most importantly a profitable stadium!!! It's depressing!

  4. We can't really expect BK just donating 10mil of his own money to invest in the squad every year, can we? What we need to progress is a new stadium with higher capacity and other ways to make money: a gym, a hotel, a movie theatre, a shopping centre, anything. I get that most fans probably don't like all of that stuff and want to stay at Goodison Park, but it's the only way forward.

Correct plus Bill doesn't have a lot more than £10m anyway!!!

We don't have any money as we are missing out on possibly the biggest market money wise - corporate!!!

  5. Hasn't he only just signed one a few months ago? Or was that just a nightmare?

He was joking because of the way it's written.

"I have also heard this morning that there have been some advanced talks with Everton over a deal for Anichebe!"

This was obviously a Stoke fan saying this but Louis has joked about it being an Evertonian saying it!

  6. I'm bored so here's my football manager style ins/outs... I'd do it on comp but not sure about real life!!!

Sell Baines to RS :leggit: for Merieles + £10m

Use £5m to buy Bertrand from Chelsea as replacement

Sell Fellaini to Chelski in straight swap for Zhirkov and Sturridge

Sell Yak and Yobo for combined £6m to Turkish side

    Sign N'Zogbia for £10m

Spend whatever's left on youth back-up e.g. Jennings

Any more money e.g. very good bids for Johnny/Bily/Arteta/Rodwell would be considered

    FM line-up...

    .............Howard............

    Coleman..Jags..Distin..Bertrand

    .............Nev...............

    .......Merieles..Arteta........

    N'Zogbia................Zhirkov

    ...........Sturridge...........

As ridiculous as original post and I haven't been drinking (have just been on run and feel a little dizzy though!!!)

  7. To Arse?

Arsenal are now in advanced negotiations with three key targets, Phil Jagielka, Gervinho and Ricky Alvarez, but many fans feel that Wenger, due to his distaste for the kind of "financial doping" he sees at other clubs, is too loyal to the principle of developing talent rather than simply buying it in.
