  1. Tips hat Maybe wouldn't have worded it like that but I think you've summed this chap up for many on here. Past a joke really.
  2. http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,13481.0.html
  3. Rumour from shorty is that Yobo's cleaned out his locker and left FF... some reckon on strike in Nigeria.
  4. The one I wouldn't mind losing not from that list is Arteta - if we could still get £12m from Spain then I think we could bring in 2 natural wingers either perm or on-loan. I think Rodwell and Barkley have to be seen as our future central midfield duo/ trio if we can keep Fellaini too. Rodwell/Barkley can be our Scholes/Butt for the next 10 seasons - I think it'd be great to see them progress through the ranks together.
  5. It seemed so simple at the end of last season - okay we've got no budget, we're use to that, but we've got players we can sell to raise funds... Vaughan - we got rid quickly and got a fair price if the reported £2.5m is true Yobo - the turks haggled and their dodgy past has come back to bite them on the arse anyway Yak - surely Leicester or West Ham would have him? Evidently not... Bily - he could be easily replaced for a natural winger and he may command a decent price but...? Heitinga - can we afford to have back-up of this quality when we've got other positions that desperately need strengthening - obviously we do! Above is around £20m worth of assets we could cope without with wages on top. For whatever reason we've only shifted one of the above and that being the lowest paid and probably the lowest value asset. By not selling one of our more valuable assets it has meant we have missed out on what I believe to be our number 1 target N'Zogbia, so what's plan B? Who knows? I hope Moyes does but I have my doubts... Anyway without selling we'll be lucky to pick up someone on-loan - it worked with Arteta and Pienaar but they were out in the limbo - I can only think of Bentley/Bellamy/SWP who are in a similar situation to these but would Spurs/City allow us to take these on an initial loan? Would we want them? Hearing about Leon from Madrid kind of made sense on-loan but would he come? Or is Holtby available on-loan or is he going to get a crack a Schalke this season? Basically there are still players out there, it'd be a lot easier if we could shift a few of our fringe players but we'll see... Which leaves me with a famous EFC current era quote "Watch this space..."
  6. Lucky because their 1st choice back 4 were shite 1st half!!! Their (united) 2nd goal was a class move.
  7. A rotweiler from Battersea dogs home - big and mean but in need of a bit of maintenance.
  8. Linked with Stoke - will prob go through if Spurs get Lass Diarra.
  9. So the soap opera goes on... but I've resolved it once and for all (see link below). http://www.googlefight.com/index.php?lang=en_GB&word1=hafnia&word2=pax Pax wins. End of. Done.
  10. I've just noticed Julien Faubert still at WHU - decent winger. I wonder if WHU were still interested in Yak and whether a swap could be done? If we're as skint as it seems blatantly obvious to us all then these are the kind of deals that we should be trying to do!
  11. We'd have a totally different set up with natural width. Our central midfielders would be able to move up the pitch quicker - players like rodwell, fellaini and barkley have enough athletisism to do that, the reason they don't is that noone is breaking ahead so our attacks are held up. Also Saha/Yak/Beckford won't be dragged out wide trying to create something themselves as they so often do. WE NEED WINGERS!!!
  12. Direct, pacy winger - the sad thing is that I'm sure there was a thread like this last season and I posted the same and even worse the season before that and the same was posted once again. It's been plainly obvious for at least 3 seasons that we've lacked pace out wide and for whatever reason we've not been able to do anything about it - we had our chance and we signed Bilyaletdinov. I believe we will sign a pacy winger on-loan again but this will be in Jan and will only be for 3 months - don't get me wrong I can't wait for his return but we need someone now!!!
  13. EFC is an addiction to me - at times I feel I need to go to rehab so I don't wind up like Winehouse! (I'll duck just in case there's another post Jackson EFC-taxi epedemic on here!!!)
  14. Horrible cunt! (to quote your good self!!!)
  15. I'll do prem off top of my head (at least 1 perm signing for each...) Arse - Gervinho Villa - N'Zogbia Blackburn - Goodwillie Bolton - Eagles Chelsea - Romeu (edit - spelt wrong!!!) EFC - "Watch this space..." Fulham - Risse Shite - Downing Man.U - Young Man.C - Aguero Newcastle - Ba Norwich - Vaughan QPR - Campbell Swansea - Lita Stoke - Woodgate Sunderland - Larsson Tottenham - Friedel West Brom - Gera Wigan - Al Habsi Wolves - Johnson Someone else can do Championship and League 1 - I'll do League 2 later!!!
  16. We're actually the only club in the whole of the English football league not to have signed anybody... there is something fundamentally wrong there!
  17. Odd post... anyway back on topic. The media types on twitter are beginning to publisise that EFC are the only club not to have made a permanent signing this summer.
  18. You need to consider tactics, unity, heart and desire though - money can't buy these (well maybe tactics)...
  19. Essentially the same team - I think Neville will be eased out this season for Rodwell.
  20. I wouldn't mind us setting up like this if we signed him... ...................Howard................... Coleman...Jags...Distin...Baines ......................Nev...................... Barton...Osman...Fellaini...Arteta .....................Saha..................... Pretty solid team with some quality back-up e.g. Cahill, Heit, Bily, Yak, etc... In this case I don't think lack of natural width would effect us too much as we know baines/coleman can bomb past the winger and put a cross in and we'd hope barton/arteta would help back when this happens. If we could then shift Yobo/Yak then we could probably focus on getting that striker we're also crying out for (when saha's unfit!) Hopefully Donovan will re-join on loan in Jan too - I'd obviously ask for more but if we could get Barton and a striker this window (only losing yak/yobo) and add to that Donovan in Jan - again not selling anyone (unless Bily bid came in - would need replacing) - then I'd be quite confident with our squad this season with a little luck with injuries.
  21. Football will always be won and lost on the pitch, at the end of the day it's 11 people vs 11 people. Nice post all in all - not saying I agree with it or enjoyed reading it but it was personal to you and you're obviously a committed/passionate blue so fair play.
