Is selling Rodwell the answer either? I wouldn't say - what a player to blood into that midfield and the expectance that Barkley will play some part next season - if we don't keep hold of our future talents then where's the next osman coming from?
In saying this I believe there's enough money to be raised through the sales of Yak, Yobo, Bily, Heit and Vaughan to help us buy that much needed winger/striker (and I know we'd need another CB but lets prioritise!)
... that German/Polish winger we have previously been linked with is on a bosman this summer Petr Tchow?*%$ski or something - I'd have him!!!

Agreed, although due to his slight lack of pace I do think being in the middle suits him more than out wide. I honestly think we have, on paper, the best central midfield in the premiership (no doubt someone will mention Chelsea and the eternally, unfathomably overrated Essien). For some reason Arteta and Fellaini hasn't worked this season, for the life of me I can't understand why but hopefully once Moyes pushes Arteta more forward we can have Arteta, Fellaini/Neville and Osman/Cahill in there and we should beat virtually anyone in the premiership, especially if we get a decent striker. We really need to press home our qualities now, this season has been a total disappointment for me, we are one of the top 4 teams in the premiership but it just never happened for us. Sell Rodwell (and possibly Fellaini) and get in a pacy, quality winger and a class act up front (if we sold both also a quality DM) and we're in business. No way can Arteta have such a poor season again. There are so few special players around now that Gerrard is getting past it, Fabregas isn't as interested etc that Arteta should really be able to shine once he hits form.
I don't understand why it takes an injury crisis for Everton to get back to basics and get their mentality right.
Our midfield will only be world class if we keep fellaini in it - he's the stand out player - the one who could probably get into any other side in the prem. Arteta needs to be on the left in my and many others opinions. Ossie/Cahill/Felli in the middle is as good as any with Arteta and a genuine outlet of the right - it's a lot to ask for Seamus to be that player but he's shown flashes of brilliance - imagine if we could get Donovan this summer - now that would be some midfield!!!

I agree Gerrard's not looked as good and Fabregas hasn't looked as interested but there's a new crop of top Prem central midfielders... I hate to say but Merieles looks class, Wilshire/Song, Anderson, Toure/De Jong, Ramieres, Modric/Huddlestone, Tiote... there's many more - the premiership has got as much class as ever in terms of central midfield players and we need to keep our best ones to compete!

Have a top day! 51... you're getting into decent figures for an opening batsman now!!!

What the hell is up with spurs fans singing our chants. Bastards
They've sang it for years. Celtic sang it before both teams. Football chants are very transferable!!!

No link to Everton there?
Motherwell boss Stuart McCall is backing winger Chris Humphrey for Scotland honours.
The youngster is currently being tracked by Liverpool and Everton.

Linked with Leyton Orient centre half now
Comedy genius or a little dozy at 9:04am? :dont know:

Chang is orrible! I always have a can of John Smiths when I drink in the ground - usually go for a decent pint (or 2) before we get in!

Let's be honest, we were lucky it was wolves we played yesterday, it should have been game over after twenty minutes for us.
None the less more than happy with the 3 points with a dismantled team. Ossies performances since the injury crisis have been heroic, class lad and all evertonians should remember him for being the great team player that he is.
Quite a ridiculous comment considering Howard didn't make a save until the 2nd half when Henry had a shot from distance.
Wolves put a lot of crosses into the box in the 1st 20mins, Distin and Jags dealt with them. Wolves were always going to start quick after a 4-1 loss and being in the dog fight and being at home.
Apart from the 1st 20mins - yesterday was a stroll.

My friend who's a Forest fan has likened him to Alex Nyarko!

I'll be sat in Wolves end as a 'guest', last time I did that Osman scored after a minute and me and my bro jumped up and we would have got thrown out had we not been 'guests' - we were relocated with the Everton WAGS/friends of players - may jump up to see if I can get moved again tomorrow!!!

Doyle is injured Louis... and for Hibbert comment - Mad Mick will be changing his tactics in anticipation!!!

Sunday Supplement on SS1 (sky 401) are about to discuss this...
I'm glad I watched that
They debated whether Everton were a bigger club than Charlton... :I surrender:

I think the difference between us winning and drawing yesterday was...
Darren Bent -£24m
Jermaine Beckford - £0

Does sixth get you into Europe this season?
No!
Birmingham and Stoke or Bolton have got the other 2 spots!
...and Fulham have a good chance through fair play!!!

That isn't what I meant. I meant they already have Gibbs so I didn't think they'd want to spend upwards of £10million on a player they don't need.
The funny thing is, if Gibbs played regulary for Arse he'd more than likely be in the England squad ahead of Baines - he may not be quite as good but that would be the case with the bias towards the Champs League teams.
I do really like Gibbs as a player and think he'll end up a class player.
-
£10m!!! I'd have him if we sell Jags for £200m based on that pricing system!!!
-
Ossie over Neville for me. Was encouraged by Gueye and Velios cameo's!
I prey that the russians come calling for Bily in the summer - he just isn't made for the premier league... good luck to him.
-
They can keep dreaming for that price.
Also, Gibbs anyone?
...give us Gibbs and Chamakh and we'll start negotiating add-ons.

I think the Echo have read it wrong tbh. I took Howe's comments as meaning he'd look to get him in on loan again next season.
That's how I read it. I'd like to see how he gets on - I think we'd kick ourselves if we got rid at this stage. Prime example Villa and Gary Cahill and to a lesser extent Liam Ridgewell.
-
You'll play where you're put Johnny (mainly on the bench!)

Silva's on-loan to a portugesse club isn't he? and Barkley has a broken leg?

I don't recall Arteta getting stick for being out wide - the only stick has come this season when he's played in the central role. The central role where he was playing his best football at the end of last season (since his first full couple of seasons when he played out wide) but it hasn't worked for whatever reason this season. As for comparing players to fabregas/gerrard - I wasn't but above players vs a midfield of arteta/neville/osman or cahill - we will get dominated by many teams with those players - fellaini is the key against the better sides e.g. chelsea, arsenal, spurs, man.utd.
