  1. Looked a natural goal scorer in his short Citeh spell but Ancelotti seems to play him out wide. I think he'd be an amazing signing and the answer to our goal scoring problems (along with 4-4-2 of course!!!)
  2. From BBC gossip: Chelsea are to battle Tottenham for the signing of Everton winger Steven Pienaar. (Sunday Times) I'd demand Sturidge in exchange!
  3. You can have my season ticket (signed by Tony Hibbert) for £1,000 for the Chelsea game - it's a one off hence the price!!!
  4. Didn't see full 90 but from what I saw Felli was class - too easy!!! Should have scored (from 45yards) when the keeper went walkabout though!
  5. Good link to watch... http://www.futbolgrande2010.blogspot.com/ Very good 1st half. Would have loved Felli to have buried that dodgy GK clearance!!!
  6. Stelling and Merse have tipped us for the Cup this year!!! Looks like we're out 3rd round!!!
  7. I disagree, we've got yak, saha, beckford, vaughan and anichebe, we need an out and out winger!
  8. Felli was world class. Coleman worked his little irish socks off. Saha actually put in a shift. Distin was solid. Neville beat bale phsycologically. Johnny grew as the game went on. Distin was solid. Becks kept chipping away. Arteta looked more like his old self. Baines was always a threat and coped well with lennon. Piennar showed flashes of brilliance. Howard made a couple of fantastic saves... and Moyes got it tactically spot on!!!
  9. Thinking back... didn't spurs offer bentley and keane for saha and pienaar on august deadline day??? (rumour) - would have been a great deal for us looking back!
  10. Wants out! We need to demand a deal involving bentley if they're having pienaar - even if it means a couple of mil on our behalf (from the sale of Heitinga?)
  11. They had just played Inter in Milan on the Wednesday. We're going to win this one though 2-0!!! I want Vaughan/Anichebe up top!
  12. Could imagine him ending up in MLS on Becks advice and all the old Man.U boys buying a franchise each!!! It'll be the modern day version of buying a race-horse!!! Off to New York?
  13. Moyes/Pullis - it was a pen The league table doesn't lie - but how f*@cking unlucky have we been on so many occassions?!
  14. Surely he was going out on-loan to prove his match fitness? Mind you he's not going to get a run out with the form our strikers are showing!!!
  15. Thankfully no link to us in that!!! I'd rather do what Villa are doing and give the youngsters a crack over talking about shite like this!
  16. I believe there is going to be a massive upheavel (is that a word?! ) during this month and continuing during the summer... Players potentially leaving: Heitinga - seems obvious if a decent bid came in he's gone Yakubu - same as JH Pienaar - I don't think Moyes could reject a decent cash/ player exchange bid Saha - if a bid from France comes in I imagine moyes wouldn't stand in the way Vaughan - already been subject of a couple of bids just some valuation differences Bily - would Moyes be able to reject a bid from a Russian team Vic - hasn't signed a new contract yet Yobo - out on-loan -> permanent? ...there's probably arguements for other players to! (I haven't even mentioned our luxary players - felli, rodwell, jags, baines - would these stay if above names were sold?!) My worry is that Moyes has always had quite a small but settled squad in his time - it's clear that this is not a settled squad because there are too many question marks over the futures of too many players. Are others worried/excited by this? I would be excited because if we could clear out some of that top list then there are good players available who I believe would improve us e.g. jarvis - £4m, djallo - £3.5m, bentley - ?, krajancer - ? - but this is Everton so I'm dreaming! I know it's all if's, but's and purely speculation but I've never remembered a time of change like this, in Moyes' era anyway. Thoughts?
  17. Been at a family do all day so not had a chance to post but my mate was out in liverpool last night and felli/yak were in the same club... could be why he wasn't on his game today!!!
  18. I'm being realistic in my selection though, Yak has been fit all season and Moyes has rarely called on him (apart from a spell in oct where he did nothing wrong IMO). I'd like Yak to play but it looks very unlikely Moyes will start him, if a £6m odd bid comes in then he's off, obviously something's not right behind the scenes. As for Vic, I think he'll come good, I was encouraged by his performance at Citeh although a little naive to get sent off. He's not a natural scorer but he chased down every ball at Citeh and was actually quite a good outlet holding the ball up. Anyone we play up front will create the space for Cahill to play in his natural role which will be vitally important against Stoke.
  19. What would you suggest then?
