  1. Moyes will make 1 or 2 BIG 1st team signings (e.g. yak, aj), snap someone up from the lower leagues (where do i start?), and sign someone who is being frozen out on-loan (e.g pienaar, fernandes, arteta). And of course we need to sign our token man.ure player!!!

Big signing's (strengthen 1st team) - Kallstrom (dm), Pienaar (l/rw), Gary Neville (rb)(we always have 1 token Man.Ure signing...)

Lower league capture - Ledley (lw)

Squad signing - another striker, another centre midfielder, gardner (cb) if he's impressed and free or £500k

Plus moyes always pulls a fantastic loan signing or two out of the bag.

I expect VDM and Nuno to leave - see the back of grav and fernandes (unless he's playing shit to bring his price down!) and I'm not 100% confident on AJ's future - swap for Ashton? - I would...

  2. I havent got a link to prove it like but my friend said during the man u v liverpool match they said Scholes has attracted the interest of Moyes who is known to be a big admirer of him.

Thoughts??? I mean he is gettin on but hes still world class.

Did your mum's bestfriend's hairdresser tell you this then?...

  3. Wouldn't be surprised to see something like:

    howard

    hibbo yobo jags lescott

    art cars nev baines

    AJ Vic

to rest some tired legs after wednesday.

I'm not saying this will be the line-up, nor would I choose this line-up but quite a few changes wouldn't surprise me.

  4. Oh shut up i only said isnt he meant to be a good penalty taker which he is aparantly. Yes the whole team played well I was simply making the point that the yak is meant to be a good penalty taker.

I dont know why your taking this huge flip i was just frustrated and if I would have been in the right frame of mind I would have credited the whole team but its peole like you who want to pick people up on pure frustration. Yes I may not have been at the match but so what there was probably more people watchin it than at the game. If there was a VC for football I think everyone who contributed to our Cup journey should be given one everyone was smashing. But before you make stupid acusations think about how other people felt or feeled at that time!

You didn't credit the whole team though - it's these people who aren't in the right frame of mind who go to get on the players backs the moment there's the slightest slip-up. It pisses me off how quickly people forget how well someone has done for us - especially yak and nev - one miss placed pass or miss control and they're "fucking shite" - I'm not saying it's you lad - but it pisses me off at the matches how quick people are to get on someones back, some people must pay to go and have a good moan.

  5. Isnt the yak ment to be a good penalty taker the fuckin twat!

Everton once again clearly didnt do enough to go through yes credit for the two goals but when u get chances u have to take them and that includes penalty shoot-outs. Have Everton ever won a penalty shot-out in the past decade?

It's comments like this where you question the intelligence/mentality of some fans! If you were heard in gwlady's last night shouting this you would have been a very unpopular figure - we didn't sit down all night, we supported the lads we didn't put them down- and on reflection you still can't put them down. Every one of them worked their ass' off for the badge - they were a credit. I didn't leave Goodison park depressed last night - I wanted to be down because we had just lost - but that display is a credit - as good as I've seen and certainly one of the best atmosphere's I've ever experienced. To get on a players back like this is a fucking disgrace - "Yakubu's a fucking twat" - you hang your head in shame the next time the yak pulls on the blue shirt and continues his fine form for Everton Football Club.

The one blessing is - you weren't at the game - fans like you don't deserve to experience moments like last night.

  6. listen mate i cant say it any kindlier but please stop going on about carsley, hes done a good job the last 3+ seasons but he's an average player, to even suggest to play carsley in a 4 5 1 in a game we need to score 2 goals is laughable. get Arteta Osman Manny & Pienaar in a midfield 4 if you ask me.

2 of that midfield 4 are major doubts - 2 are just back from injury... GOOD CALL JOSE!

    Howard

    Nev Yobo Jags Lescott

    Art Cars Timmy Pienaar

    AJ Yak

for me anyway - wouldn't mind jags or yobo dropping out to accomodate baines - think he could have some joy over-lapping.

  7. That isn't him in the pic. He's a winger - wolves signed him from non-league footie a couple of seasons back, but when fit he's supposidly their best player by far (although they have 2 good young keepers, hennessy/murray).

He signed a contract last summer - that's why he didn't leave, he wanted to try get up with wolves - they won't go up it's safe to say - so he may be looking for a move in the summer if he can get fit...

  8. He seems to be a bit of an Arshavin; getting a bit of hype without perhaps too many people having seen him play. But hell, if the lad is holding down a regular spot in a Dutch side then I say go for him.

I'd imagine the majority of our team and reserves could do that... Dutch football isn't a touch on the prem - i'm not taking anything away from the lad - he's young and first-team for a top 4 dutch side but it's a totally different league.

I'd imagine VDM would star in most dutch teams.

  9. "We've got our squad back now and we'll be alright".

    .......

You just dont get it do you, we've just lost four points that we should have won. Four points could mean the diference between Champs League, Uefa Cup, or Fook all. <_<

I do get it mate - we have just lost 4 points - what's signing some over-priced half-whit just for the sake of it going to do - would we have won both games if we had of signed a centre back or centre mid for £5m-£6m?

Who did you have in mind lad?

  10. Still makes no difference to what i think Zed, both Blackburn and Spurs where there to be beaten and we didnt do it.

When you think that we got rid of McFadden for over £5 million, and ended up with Da Silva and Van Der Meyde on the bench for the Spurs game because we didnt have enough players, then ship out Da Silva and Stubbs to bring in Gardner who is injured and could'nt even make the bench, If jags or Lescott had got injured yesterday we Could have ended up losing that game, now how shit is that. Osman is still playing with a broken toe, Fernandes who has only played one game in 3 months (spurs) and is obviously not up to speed yet, giving the ball away too often.

Was Cahill playing yesterday ?, i didnt see him involved in anything that went on, the only thing that seemed to be on his mind was catching the plane to Australia, and he has been poor for the last 3 or 4 games, peeps say he scores some goals, yeah thats fine but if he stops scoring he contributes very little else and i would rather revert to 4-4-2 and play Vaughan up front.

We are in an excellent position and it would be criminal if we throw it away because we didnt bring in one decent player when we had the window of opportunity, we've gone out in the last two games with a patched up team full of pain killing injections, so yes this Evertonian does expect a bit better.

I still maintain it was 4 points lost through lack of forward planning by the Club. ;)

What does moyes do? - go out and spend the money for the sake of it? - If the players moyesie wanted were available in the window I'm sure he would have bid for them. - unlike many other managers I moyes likes to keep his transfer activity quiet - I'm sure he was trying.

It's no coincidence that every manager says that you pay over the odds in January - look at McFadden FFS! - Moyes has lost 2 in faddy and stubbs and gained 3 in fernandes, gardner and gosling - okay we may not see gosling (with some 1st team experience) but it's and extra body and 1 for the future. Gardner only came in as back-up after the stubbs deal - moyes said himself it was last-minute and wouldn't stand in stubbsies way (who wanted to leave - to play).

Right lets say moyes went out and bought a new centre back or new midfielder - with the £5m from the faddy deal - they're not the ones he wanted they're just to please fans with a new signing - they get a run out over the next 2 games due to injuries/african nations. Come Reading match yobo/yak/pienaar return - osman/fernandes/baines are fitter after a weeks rest - new signing on the bench - was never first choice - just a stop gap to keep the fans happy.

Summer transfer market re-opens - moyes has to dig into his summer kitty to sign pienaar/fernandes as the faddy money has been spent on a player who has put in some solid performance in our reserves.

A bit long-winded but what I am trying to say is, if there were players who genuinely would have improved us at the right price then I'm sure moyes would have snapped them up. We've got our squad back now and we'll be alright. Let's get behind the boys - and not think the worst - we're in pole position for 4th afterall.
