  1. I would just like to say how much i enjoyed Gravesen's preformance today and with an assist for the 2nd goal hes already a big influence to our side. When brought on we seemed to have a bit more enthusiasm about us and pressure which led to the goal. It was like he never left???
  2. just a reminder of a great goal by Gravesen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPYLnZ1QaZQ and the 4th goal on this, screamer
  3. I for one am pleased to see Gravesen back. Yes we know he may be aging and we know we have much better players at the club, but at the end of the day squad numbers matter. We do have a very taxing season ahead of us with the added UEFA cup competition. Also its a loan deal, there is nothing to lose. I will applaud the return of mad dog.

Iam not saying that Stubbs and Carsley should start every game, if you read correctly i said i would like to see them in a swap and change rotation system. I just thought if you stuck them on the bench from now till the end of the season it would be a bit harsh to players who have served us well. I was also having ago at the people who when told that Stubbs and Carsley were injured, were pleased at this. Injuries should never be wished upon anyone. Except Robbie Savage of course.

I think you cannot kick carsley and stubbs out of the team entirely. They just need to be swapped and changed a little to cope against certain types of attack. So against this "new look" bolton i think a younger defence will be opted in lescott and yobo. But for teams with a slower pace stubbs will return aswell as carsley. You have to admit when you see stubbs jumping to head the ball you know he will come out on top 9 times out of 10, he is still a great physical presence against teams with strikers who like to keep the ball down at their feet. At defending from corners Stubbs and Yobo have got to be the best. I cannot actually believe there are some who were applauding the fact that they were injured. The service they have given this club, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Dont worry though, when they play a blinder you will be the first ones to praise them, but when they have a bad game your the first to get the daggers out.
  6. He does say on the official site, "I know there is a long way to go and I want to be part of that - to be successful and to have that dream." That to means that he will stick with us for a while.
  7. Class act, watched him for Ghana at the world cup and he is the real deal. Reminds me of Makelele but with a more attacking mind. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_2692989,00.html

Great side, but i think mcfadden is more likely to get pienaar's spot than take AJ's. AJ's got a goal coming soon so i think a smart man would bet on him to do so this game.
  9. No problem mate, i think at the moment we all are
  10. I just hope to god that this transfer goes through. Am afraid if it doesnt we are in deep shit and there WILL be riots.
  11. And they really think building a stadium in Kirkby would improve debts??? If anything a stadium within the city would produce so much more revenue even if it did cost more initially. It obviously does take a scientist to work that one out if BK and KW couldnt see what was in store for them in the future. Investment has got to come from somewhere but with these 2 on board its never gonna happen.
  12. the way i see it is we should either sign one more striker (if yakubu signs), or an attacking midfielder who could play up front.
  13. of course he would rather have Nugent. Hes not on his pic for nothing u know
  14. True, but when you "verbally" agree or so they said he did, its a bit of let down when he buggers off and signs for someone else. I think what he didnt come for was that he realised that if or appeal to the F.A to sign him had been rejected, it may have been too late for a move and he would have been stuck at Benfica. So he chose the quick way out. Iam just glad he moved abroad and not to another English side. That would have been unbearable.
  15. I can see the Riquelme topic being reinstated to be honest .
  16. I like Hibs a lot actually. Probably my favourite. John Collins is the manager so that adds to it. In the link above i also say Hibs is my fav.
  17. Of course you are right. Apologies for th prick comment. It was more 40/60 in that mine was slightly more nasty than ours. And to Everton Lad i wouldnt really call 17 being a child. Not when am 18 in December.

  19. Any player thats has a trial at Chelsea must be good. He wont cost too much either but Plymouth will try to get as much as they can for him. If we do get him they may request him back on loan as this happens with young players often.
  20. http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=53808 the tribe states we had signed him on Friday.
  21. I think if people want to protest they should. Freedom of speech and all that. In fact if a protest is organised, ill be there.
  22. You never know with football, and Everton for that matter
