I'm concerned with the Baines situation. It seems everytime one of the rich clubs become interested in one of our players they leave.Jags seems to be the only exception I can name at the moment. Oh and Phil. Has Baines been quoted mentioning the united situation?
I would love to see him join but if does continue to play interested teams off against each other I can't see Moyes putting up with that.I wouldn't blame him either.
If the reported figure is true , I think this is a rather good sale IF Moyes can have some of the money back for a wide player and we can keep our other top players .
Am I right in saying that we run at approximately a 10 million loss a season ?
It's days like these I'm a little miffed with our pauper chairman and the tightwad board. This fellow would have made us some money in the long wrong after Moyes would have coached the best out of him. When I calm down, I should be thankful that we have retained our best players and Peanuts will arrive soon.
Still have my fingers crossed for Owen.
I think this sentence here is all you need to know about this match and most of the season.
Hopefully Moyes will learn a lesson one day, namely
You don't have to use the same tactics every week .Different teams ,different set-ups
I'm a little worried about the summer after Drenthe and Denis leave . Also worried about retaining our best players. However the OP is such a joyful thing to behold its hard not to let it warm the cockles. Great post.
I would be more than happy with this. I didn't think The Saint and the board would release this sort of cash though. If they manage to get him and maybe another defender or creative player , a lot of fans (including myself) would consider themselves "shut up".
Exactly. A couple of the groups that form the Union had some decent points to make and put them across in an intelligent way without getting too personal about Bill. Then they joined with the Peoples group and it went tits up.
However the Union will get my support as I trust then slightly more than I trust the Sainted one and his poor sidekick Bob.
Fully agree . He will always have a place in my heart after that goal in the Zenith Data Cup final. The only high point of that pointless game. I also liked Preki .
I couldn't stand Mike Newell.
Very good point. He hasn't been in Germany long but I don't know if hes a regular for his country. I have only seen as an occasional sub for his international side.
I was actually rethinking my stance while reading smugman's blog but then I read this and had to rethink it all again. Where is the other money from player sales?
