  1. Think Holtby and Capoue are both decent shouts, Sherwood has pretty much said they should go. Strike is more worrying right now. Naismith is not a solution, he's a man for the last 15 when needing a goal, not a man to lead the line. No idea where we might find that right now though.... Wouldn't be surprised to see two or three unknowns in from abroad on loan. Chips are down now, we have to gamble if we're going to stay in the race.
  2. Probably applies to about half the RBs in the league. We knew he wasn't going to bomb up and down the wing. We don't know why he was pushing up; presumably the 19 year old makeshift RB wasn't doing that on his own, which leaves RMs instructions. If he's done what he was told and is caught out by teammates poor decisions/passing that's hardly his fault. I suspect RM wanted him to stretch the pitch and try to drag a Liverpool midfielder over. It didn't work, but not much we did today worked. Think Stones is the wrong target for our frustration.
  3. Mate, you don't even watch or follow the game. Your most common first post in a thread is "I didn't even realize we were playing today". You come in with a comment about how you read or heard we were doing such and such and propose to explain what needs to be done. I'm not sure you've ever offered a relevant topic in a game day thread. If you want to offer your philosophical musings I don't think this is the place for it. Good on you for wanting the team to do well, but you've got to see how your left field comments might be perceived.
  4. No, I mean after the first goal, we went rushing headlong forward and left ourselves far too open. Needed to take that time to get some composure. Liverpool saw us get a rush of blood to the head and charge forward and they just stepped around our haymker to land a serious of viscious counter punches. Naive from us.
  5. Roberto's lost the plot here, wrong decisions once we were exposed and now getting dangerous.
  6. Well, we've got that going for us, thanks Sturridge.
  7. Going to hear about this for a while
  8. Osman for Pienaar, who's moved where?
  9. Obvious caveat that I haven't seen a kick of the ball, but I think we need to come out with some change. What we're doing is not working. I know our players are limited, so maybe push Mirallas up top, Barkley out to the wing and Naismith in behind for a while, at least give us the pace to get in behind. What else can we do from here?
  10. We're exposed every time we go forward, Liverpool know where the outlets are and we're not covering them at all.
  11. We can't even put two passes together by the sound of it, not playing our game at all and Liverpool wanting the ball more than us
  12. Still a lot of football today, we need to show something.
  13. Was just about to say that we need to close up shop until half and then come out with a new approach. This is a catastrophe now.
  14. Yikes, sounds like we're not at the races. If Lukaku has done his ankle we're in deep trouble
  15. Sounds like Liverpool getting all the chances and Alcaraz leaving us exposed.
  16. Pienaar injured? -- edit only have radio
  17. Anytime the trainer throws up the big "X" it's trouble. Looked like his ankle went all wrong.
  18. 2nd half was probably the worst I've seen us play this year. We were abysmal, not even in the game until the 80th minute. Shocked we didn't lose in fact. Bad as the result is I'm far more disappointed in how we went about our business, and where were the subs. Was dead obvious from 50th minute until they scored that we were being dominated and needed to change things. On that performance who would you have, Lukaku or Anichebe. Think I'd be taking Vic. We just can't play our football without a skilled midfielder and that was clearly lacking today. Shame really, going to have to be much better for the Derby.
