  1. Its ok it most prob paper talk that we was interested in him anyway so when we dont sign him it doesnt matter as we was never really in for him anyway. Only reason he came over here was to see what England was like
  2. I went to Tenerife in May for ten days. First time had take our daughter over there. She was a year old at the time. She loved it even more so with all the attention she got. We are thinking of going back over in in October but that is to look for work and somewhere to live if cant find a job over here.
  3. I agree Bill and I beleive that we could struggle this season with teams around us improving there team and our team is no better than last season and less players.
  4. On a side note as not worth opening a new thread I see that Hull have accepted an offer for Sam Rickets from an un named club. Was we not linked with him a little while ago? I am sure we have looked at other targets but what worries me is that this seems to be like the last few windows. DM says he wants people then he says that he will get people then what follows is told people not out there that he wants for sale then we know what happens after that
  5. You dont buy petrol cos you want to you have to is my point. If Everton want these players then they HAVE to offer what other clubs are going to offer or at least. If Sunderlad or any club in the premier league offers more money than Everton then I would say that 90% of the time a player will go there instead of Everton. With contracts not being worth anything now a days all a player has to do is get seen by any team and they have a chance of moving onto a better team. Look at Valencia last season now joined Untined. M'Bia has said it when he mentioned all the teams he wanted to play for they were all going to be stepping stone.
  6. I honestly dont think that we have the money that we even had last season to spend on transfers and dont think we will get anywhere near to breaking our transfer record this close season. I understand what you saying that Cana might not be our star buy if we went and got him but he could turn out to be a decent signing and maybe our star player of the season. I also agree that we need other areas first to fill but we have said that in previous summers when we have lost out on players and not brought other people in our needed positions either. It could also be that Everton are trying to keep the debt down as they said they would have to borrow to buy more players and the less debt the better for trying to sell the club. Here is a ? what would you rather have 3/4 decent signings totalling around £15-20m or no real signings and just loan and free to boost the team and then someone buy the club in September. I know I am clutching onto straws but maybe they keeping debt down til a buyer can be found
  7. http://www.nsno.co.uk/news.php?item.4936.33 Dm on transfers Worry me on the last bit 'We know that we have got to add players. Yes, I would have liked them in before now – but I will definitely be adding to the squad as soon as the right one becomes available'
  8. Maybe its being kept hush hush so spurs dont nick in before us. Something that confusses me and it might just be me but why would it have been a meeting with RE a year ago as he was not in charge then I didn;t think
  9. At the end of the day value for money is what someone is willing to pay. People was on about not paying £5 for a coke but if every shop sold it at that price people would pay it. People moan about the price of petrol and its not worth it but people still buy it. The days where a player went to a club for football reasons and for the love of a club have long gone. Football is a business and the players are just employees looking at earning as much money in a short carrer
  10. Might end up having a very good team in about 3/4 years
  11. At the end of the day if you was offered a job you liked and was offered another job the didn't like as much but double money what would you do. With football its the same if he can earn double the amount at Sunderland than here then why would he not want to even if we might be a better club (in our opinion) as all he needs to do is stay there for a year and then move to a bigger club after impressing for a year. We dont know if we are after him or not but a lot of reports are saying that we are/were. I honestly beleive that things might be worse at Everton then we think or are led to believe. Although i would like to see these players join us not if it courses us to go into administration. Until the club is sold we have to get used to the fact that we cannot compete with the other teams around us and this will keep happening until we are sold. With DM history with buying players its not surprising that other managers are looking at the same players that DM might be.
  12. Great post and agree with your 100%. We have had a good couple of seasons without really spending much money compared to other clubs but have to beleive at some point it wont go our way. We was lucky last season in that the injuries where to our strikers and although didnt have many strikers to call on if it had been to 3 of our defeneders then we might have had a different season completey.
  13. I honestly belive with BK comming out again at the beginning of the window and saying that we need investment and DM saying looking at loan and free signings its there way or saying we wont be making any big signings. My concerns are clubs around us will spend as most have more money than us and although we dont know the reason why Naughton choose Spurs over us all the reports going around are they offered more money and when it comes down to it if its a battle with us and another club in the top half of the table for a player then they will most prob offer more money to get them. Its all very well Dm saying he looking for fringe players with frees and loans to beef out the team for the extra game but for that to work they have to be as good as already have or might as well just bring in the youth players. I beleive this summer could be a very frustrating summer for us however the thing that really worries me is if I read it right that BK said they he has not rejected any bids for investment which beggers the ? how come we not had any when the likes of Portsmouth and Notts County to name a few have.
  14. What a differance a week makes. This time last week we were looking at signing Naughton now it looks like lost out on him and the other player along with the player that decided to not to go to England and possible chance of losing Lescott and DM said he looking team players and BK saying once again he need a billionaire. Still think that Lescott will go for about 20m
  15. I was more on about Everton when they have kept saying in the past that they were interested in a player but was told he was not for sale so it didn't go any further than that than a team man city trying to imrpove there team
  16. Just goes to show that Man Shitty think they can do what they want now they have money or maybe its just Everton when if they are told a player is not for sale they dont offer for him
  17. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/blues-reject-lescott-bid.html Everton confirm rejected a bid
  18. They said when they said about the offer that they believed it had been rejected. Would like to think would get around 25m if he did go
  19. Sky Sports have breaking news that they have offered for lescott which has been rejected
  20. Said the same thing last summer just means dont expect many signings
  21. Sorry to say but if Man Shitty offer enough Everton would sell and why not. If we can get twenty five million for him think they will take it and bring in two new players. As much as DM and BK say players not for sale and dont have to sell every player has his price. We also dont know if he wants to leave but I would expect if he does he would have to ask.
  22. Sky Sports saying that have option to buy after loan
  23. Hi Thanks for the links I was just wondering if anyone had taken their young children on holiday abroad at around that sort of age and if had any advise regarding how they were on the plane and things like that. Am checking with the doctors today for there advise on if ok to go or not
  24. Me and the wife are thinking of going on holiday in May this year to tenerife and taking Dakota for her first holiday there. When we fly she will be just over a year old and just wondered if anyone had taken babies on holiday before at that sort of age or if its a big no no as to many problems. We looking at staying in an apartment instead of a hotel this year and we been to the resort a few times so know our way around there. Just worried with her flying and staying abroad for a bit with her routine of eating and sleeping Any advice would be gratefull
