What a load of rubbish! What is this based on? I love Everton but better than Real Madrid...come on. :withstupid:

Breaking news from OS. I'm not sure wether I'm pleased or not. I probually think we should keep him as I know last season was a poor one for him and he offers us something different. Part of the article was interesting.
Chairman Bill Kenwright echoed the sentiments of his manager.
"David (Moyes) and I obviously talk three or four times a day regarding his transfer targets," he said.
"He has asked me today to confirm what I already knew: that Andrew Johnson is not for sale."
Lots of talking wont get them signed!! but hopfully it means we might see an addition soon.
-
On the down side it will be another African that will be missing when ACN is on! Still thats only for a month or so every 2 years! If he comes back on time
-
I know its only reported in NOTW however I am getting increasingly concerned over Moyes leaving rather than us signing anyone!
-
This is why I hate this time of year. We have all talked about signing him on TT for ages now and once again our lack of getting anyone to sign will either cost us more money or we will lose out to another club. We have seen all season what this lad can do and I'll be particularly disappointed if we don't sign him. Getting fed up Please prove me wrong!
-
I've read today that Man City have a week in which to sign him! I hope they don't and we can snaphim up.
-
If Moyes left one word would sum it up "DISASTER"
Long shot - Alex McCleish? I know Brum went down, but could see him being successful here - certainly was at Rangers and Scotland - would also maintain tradition of crazy, Scottish and ginge!!IMO Alex McCleish would be awful!
Maybe its just me and I am starting to get on, but I'm enjoying the managerial stability which is one thing (possibly the only thing) the board has got right, and it looks good on the club.

0-0 with villa at home
Had a bad day!

Don't want to be a killjoy but if this comes off I'm way further than eating house bricks!
(He'd have to be THAT good because that will be all this years budget!)

Also in todays Sun:
David Moyes is planning a daring raid to snatch Portugal whizkid Joao Moutinho from under the noses of Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Everton chief has been alerted to the fact that Sporting Lisbon have yet to receive a firm offer for the £16million-rated star.
Now Moyes hopes to seal a quickfire deal for the 21-year-old midfielder, who has told his representatives he is keen to play in the Premier League.
Moyes is heading to the Euros to see Moutinho in the remaining group games after he shone in his nation’s opening 2-0 win over Turkey.
Liverpool are also watching the situation but if no offer comes in from United or the Gunners, Everton have every chance of landing him.
It would see him arrive on Merseyside in a similar deal to the one which brought Manuel Fernandes to Goodison.
Fernandes was loaned to the club for a year with the option of a permanent move should both parties agree.
Moyes has money to spend, without being given a definite figure, and is keen to bring in a “sexy” name to help take his fifth-placed side to the next level.
The prospect of forking out big bucks for Moutinho is no barrier as Everton’s money men know they would be sitting on a massive profit should he then attract Europe’s big guns.
Moyes is already interested in Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone and considering Manchester City’s Michael Johnson and USA star Michael Bradley if he misses out.
Meanwhile, Toffees striker Andy Van Der Meyde, 28, is wanted by Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg.
Van Der Meyde has made just 14 starts since arriving in 2005 because of injuries and personal problems.

Its been there over a year all through this stage last season. Don't get your hopes up on what is on there, as it as it says "PAPER TALK" from any paper that mentions us that day.
-
Just watched the video....Your all right he's mad, he didn't time any of those challenges and will be spending time with Joey Barton if he came over here!
-
I guess we will spend in the teens! But today I'm optomistic 22 million
-
Sold as seen! I'd rip their hands off! Any decent offer and I think we should take it. Is this a wind up?
-
The Fiorentina game - Awsome the best we played all season, we gave them a lesson in football that night!
-
I watched the game with my mate whos a villa season ticket holder and he was alot happier than me on the final whistle! I think the point was much better for villa than us as their goal difference will mean that they will beat us if we finish level (due to us having to lose and them winning two). I think we will do well to get any points from next week and that'll mean it will go down to the last game! Well I'm gutted we should have have this all sown up by now and as usual we can't do anything easily. At least DM put Neville back in the defence today and I think it showed that he shouldn't play in the midfield as he did OK today. Really annoyed with us standing off Barry for their second goal (both Arteta and Carley guilty). This won't be the game that loses us 5th place (if it happens) as the last 6 or so have done that. Still its in our own hands and at least Wigan have something to play for next week against villa as they arn't safe yet. All in all it was a better performance than in recent weeks and I'm as always optomistic!

What odds are the bookies giving? They rarely get it wrong.

Cahill vs Chelsea has my vote! It was the timing as well.

mmm not a good display and a worrying last 15mins. Didn't get why he took Manny off he looked the only player to cause them problems. Then the Yak came off. I was wondering "what if" they had scored after these subs as we wouln't have scored a winner. Well they didn't and we need all the points we can get. I agree playing like this and we won't get much from the remaining fixtures.

I'm off down Ladbrooks!!! But your right Mike the bookies don't often get it wrong so I guess we are safe. Eitherway we will be playing in Europe as I think Pompey will now qualify for europe through FA cup and IF villa pass us we still have fair play and intertoto. I don't want or think we'll need this but its there as backup.
-
IMO not Neville the reason, being this. I don't think next year he will be good enough to get in the team (and maybe this year!). However he is a reasonable captain but you need to be in the team for your football and not just to be on the pitch as a leader/captain. I'm finding that Neville says all the right things before and after the games but goes missing whilst his out on the green stuff and does practise what he preaches. That my opinion anyway.
-
Well thats that then! I'm furious a perfectly good goal disallowed however in the end we were lucky with a point. Jags had a mare today and the only one I think played very well was Cars.
Howard - Good stops and a great save
Neville- So so - can't cross for shit
LB -average, ran hard
Lescott - not his usual self
Jags - The least said the better
Cars - My MOTM
Arteta - Some good moves when we went level he went missing. Needmore from him
Osman - Some good, some bad some ugly did OK
Cahill -I wish he was fit left the at 1-0 only played 10 mins
Victor - Better than some performances recently but still frustrating
Yak- Good two goals but there was no understanding between him and Vic.
Manny - Some great passes but agin gets caught to many times in possession.
Well thats ruined my Saturday!!
-
Thats a stupid comment, tony has improved alot in his crossing lately, just because he has a bad reputation with crossing doesnt mean to say it will always be shite, just look at Nevilles crossing against Fiorentina in the first leg, Hibbert with 1 leg would have done better
Thats a stupid comment, He'd fall over trying to cross with one leg!

He's not going to stage this amazing comeback. Lets not be all deranged here. The man has done nothing for a fortune and robbed us of a quality player ie his wages could have gone to someone else. The only reason we are talking about this is that he has realised he needs to play for another contract (not here!) and live the lavish lifestyle he's become acustommed too. Good luck to the club that signs him as he will suck there club fund dry. He was a great prospect but it never materialised and I will be happier when he's gone.
