  1. They need a right back, left back, and possibly a centre mid if Fletcher doesn't get better as they were missing steal in the middle last season. ATM starting 11 Everton would edge it. They have a better squad and will finish above us, but they won't be challenging for the title unless they bring some more in. Howard = DeGea Hibbert > Jones? Heitinga > Rio Distin < Vidic Baines > Evra Osman < Kagawa Rodwell > Carrick Fellaini > Scholes Pienaar < Nani Naismith > Welbeck Jelavic = Rooney (6:3 or if they drop Welbeck for Valencia and play Kagawa behind the striker 5:4.)
  2. Just 1st and 2nd at 1/3 of the odds, the gambler could have got better odds 40/1 with a different bookie. The odds of 2/1 for them to finish top 4 seem very short, in comparison to Everton @ 20/1.
  3. Madness from the club: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/164117.html He still had 4 years left. Madness from a fan: https://twitter.com/PickThatOneOut/status/232866946167734272/photo/1/large
  4. Possibly it catches the attention of someone just scanning by.
  5. I'd originally done this, to base my 1st post from. 1. Chelsea if the players gel straight away. 2/3. Man U and City squads don't look much stronger than ours other than fire power, but refs will make sure they get the little help they need. 4. Everton, optimistic but achievable. Pending a good start, Jela's goals, and more creativity/points from the bench as Rodwell, Barkley, Gueye, and Anichebe try to impress. Think we will pick up more points from last years promoted sides as well as the 3 who have just come up. 5. Arsenal, have strengthened the wrong areas and will drop points when Song goes the ACN, likewise when Arteta misses his usual chunk of games. 6. Spurs, dodgy one, they need another striker and I think Bale and Walker struggle against top opposition. Will also miss Ekotto. 7. Southampton, one newbie tends to shine. 8. The Sh*te, struggling to play Rodger's style. Hard to see where the goals will come from, even lower if Gerrard plays every week. 9. Westham, as much as Big Sam's football is rubbish it gets points. 2 places higher if they have Carroll. 10. QPR, have spent a few pennies. Newcastle will run out of luck, dont see how the article has us at 8th. 7th is the minimum, as long as no one has a freak season like Newcastle last year or Ipswich in the past.
  6. Remember David Bellion? . The Swansea team were geared towards Sinclair, take away his pens and he had an average season. Allen, Dyer, and Sigurdsson showed more promise in the final third, thought Sinclair was very sloppy infront of goal and messed a lot of attacks up.
  7. 4th, optimistic but achievable. Pending a good start, Jela's goals, and more creativity/points from the bench as Rodwell, Barkley, Gueye, and Anichebe try to impress. Think we will pick up more points from last years promoted sides as well as the 3 who have just come up. Think we should get better results against Stoke, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Villa. With the same average against the rest, hopefully we will get enough points to nab a Euro spot. Moyes showed good signs of change towards the end of last season (subs on earlier, less Jags love, less defenders in midfield, and more balance in attack), and without Cahill and Saha I'm hoping he will change it up more. As it looks like Fellaini will be straight in Cahill's position, but Fellaini offers more all round so would allow us to play with more fluidity in the middle, so gives more options in our style/tempo of play. Moyes' still has his main 2 pieces (Baines and Pienaar) so there's still the danger we will just play down the left which is too predictable and last season teams nullified it.
  8. He also chats a lot of plop. No denying he's a big fan, but they make loafs out of bread crumbs story wise.
  9. My zonal vision is unreal, town was great today lesbians every where ... possibly a higher ratio of gay men to women but I have selective vision.
  10. Billy bull shitters them 2 imo, the type to be a rib short so they can suck their own cocks and compulsively lie about an amazing prostitute that turns out to be their own gob. 4th Official is reliable though
  11. I'd prefer the option, no Nike no Chang would be an awesome kit. Think all 3rd kits should be completely plain, as I hate most advertisements (Lynx ones tend to be good ). Aren't the club shirts just cheap replicas of the actual team shirts, or are they the same now?
  12. Who has a better balance than Hibbert? All I can think of is Sagna, and he's not amazing. There's Johnson and Walker, but they are mediocre at best against top half opposition.
  13. https://www.youtube....feature=mh_lolz All the sexy Olympians. I have no idea who the last one is but they should introduce a Batwatch 100 m
  14. Too late imo, Wenger should have bought years ago. He could have spent big but has chose to go for bargains or youngsters. They could have bought Jags but wouldnt stump up the extra £2 mil and instead squandered it on fodder Mertesacker and Squillaci. With a better cb and goalkeeper in earlier, they would have won another trophy by now. Before last season the only double figure (£million) players have been Reyes, Hleb, Nasri, Arshavin and Vermaelen, and when major players are sold they don't buy a ready made replacement, instead buying a youth who will hopefully fill the void in the future. The teams challenging for major trophies would buy both. Last season Wenger bucked up his transfer policies and brought in Arteta as a straight replacement for Fabregas and it payed off big time, but they hadn't replaced Nasri and only had 2 good centre backs so the league was always going to be out of reach last season. They've had a bit of bad luck that has hindered them as well with RVP and Eduardo injuries preventing a league challenge a couple of seasons ago, and a few less decisions than the other title contenders. But ultimately Wenger's transfer policy has to take the blame.
  15. This has all been said before, but I'm very bored. If no one gets injured I expect this to be our starting line up for the majority of prem games. I'd like to see an alternative formation with Anichebe upfront, and the kids be given 20 mins more regularly and a start if their performance warrants it. Howard Hib/Nev Heit/Jags Distin Baines Rodwell Gibson Os/Nai Fellaini Pienaar Jelavic Personally I'd go with pretty much this, but Osman (for Gib or Rod) has to play in the middle he had his best games there but have fluidity between the middle 3 rather than rigid positions, and have Naismith or Anichebe (not a big fan of him on the right, but if he can be assed he will bully Evra) on the right. Hibbert or Neville depending on who plays on the left for man u. Heitinga paired with either Jags or Distin, and if Heitinga gets injured or sold, I'd prefer Duffy or Hibbert to play with either Jags or Distin as they really don't work as a pair. Hopefully Fellaini will catch the ball as beautifully as last time and score a few more headers and get in double figures if not play him deep where he already owns that position. Also we struggled from set pieces last seaon, it was reminiscent of Arteta. Baines is no Beckham so shouldn't be on every set piece as it got predictable. I'd like a few more set plays, and duties to be shared so we can be more dangerous from set pieces and help the cb's contribute more goals. Jela to continue how he started would be fantastic, 20 goals a season So the minimum target against united is a one touch finish from Jela, a volley from Felli, and goal from a set play for a defender. A clean sheet would be nice but I'm not that greedy, I'll settle for 3-1.
  16. We saved £4.5 mil in wages. Think I seen the loan fee was £700k.
  17. He plays on the left, and is an England international. Wolves are financially stable so can afford to keep players, in hope to get promotion. Last week they turned down Sunderland's bid of £10 mil for Fletcher.
  18. Heitinga played in the WC final two years ago and is a better player now than then and is 4 caps away from being in the top ten most capped players for the Netherlands. On top of that the amount of money in football means a even higher inflation of players prices. So he should be valued for a lot more than the £6 mil we paid for him.
  19. Fourth Official ‏@FourthOfficial_ Joseph Yobo due to sign for Fenerbahce on a permanent deal in the next 24 hours #EFC
  20. Time wasting in the Marseille game was a disgrace then. A player was down for near 2 mins with 'cramp'. Of the last 20 mins I'd say 7-8 was wasted. Would love football do like the Olympics and disqualify teams for not trying to win. Think a rule like that would get the best out of Moyes also.
  21. Looking like they are struggling to play the free flowing Roger's way. Reminiscent of them under Benitez just keeping hold of the ball and going no where. I know it's only a friendly and its still 0-0, but a better team would be 2-3 up by now 11 shots to 2. Edit: It's a Europa game.
  22. Rie Tanaka's legs , possibly helped by the fact the rest are too young for me to perve on.
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19101746 Some better news for Petrov.
  24. We've missed out on a bargain, Weiss to Pescara for only £2 mil.
  25. Too much competition, Lampard, Hazard, Marin, Mata, Miereles, Malouda, and now Oscar (don't know much on him myself) as well. He would have been fighting for a space in the bench with Piazon, Kakuta, and McEachran. Beneyoun is still there also. Everton need an attacking player, wouldn't mind loaning any of them.
