    Leyton Orient

I don't get why Mucha is still at the club, he could be earning more and starting at another club. I agree about keepers not needing a rest, but I'd like Taudal to gain some cup experience he looked good against Morecombe. Taudal Coleman Heitinga Duffy Garbutt Naismith Neville Junior Miralles Osman Anichebe Not a fan of Neville in mid, but he's a shouter and good organiser as is Johnny. With the 2 of them we could field a team that has less experience playing together without looking out of sorts. If the teams able to dominate and LO are not causing many problems I'd like to see Barkley, and McAleny or Vellios get some minutes.
  2. http://www.liveplasma.com/#/artist/Ocean_Colour_Scene/601d793d-7e96-4bb6-b4a6-712d5c926259/GB Embrace and Supergrass not quite similar sounds but people who also listen to OCS listen to them.
  3. I think it's more the radio kills them, and some bands then play into the mainstream eg. Kings of Leon who went gash also Nelly Furtado who went slut and repetitive. The Killers stayed strong, only bad thing was it encourages a batch of shit bands like The Zutons or Jamie fucking T. Then there are mysteries like Coldplay who suddenly became massive even though it's nearly a decade since their one phenomenal song (The Scientist). Personally waiting for The Kills to get a bit bigger (slowly getting there lately) so my mates will go with me. Hope Modest Mouse start popping up over here as well.
  4. We all have some form of bias, it can be a good thing as it helps you remember the facts better. I wouldn't say it was just bad luck, it was over 20 games and he was directly to blame in some of those games for poor defending. He's a left sided Glenn Johnson imo. Not rate Ramsey?
  5. Arsenal in the past, which was similar to Barca but with a lot more chances being created (but not scored) and at a higher pace. Of late no one has really stood out as excellent, I'd say football is going through a transitional phase adjusting to new tactics. I did like Bayern though but never watched as much foreign football last year to justify calling them the most entertaining. Real on their good days, but the Spanish league tends to bore me in general. Going to digress a bit here, Pato is my favourite player to watch when he's fully fit, if not Ozil. When Fellaini pulls a Fellaini there's no one better to watch as an Evertonian. The one-man show against City is one of the best games I've seen. Now almost back on topic, I find people give too much weight to goals as entertainment, as one of the best Everton games I went to finished 0-0 (against Leeds 2002) it had everything but goals compared to say the one-sided drubbing we gave Sunderland.
  6. Not known for his defending and every goal was an exact replica which shows how poor Maicon is. This performance is a joke to show how 'good' Bale is. Maicon should be slated not Bale getting praised. Just like Ben Arfa's goal last season not a great goal just god awful defending.
  7. Some lucky punter got his goal caste up https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150984029316886&set=a.389603261885.174734.191178311885&type=1&relevant_count=1&ref=nf
  8. Barca fans are there for the trophies. They play exactly like Spain and everyone moaned about them once they seen more than one game. I'd rather see a team creating chances rather than playing possession football.
  9. I'm no hipster! *goes burns American Apparel hoody* I get more annoyed that a band isn't popular. McClean is over-rated flash in the pan, caught people out because he was raw just as Coleman did. He's only done it consistently against lower opposition, and the Champs league just proves you're a following the papers as it was against Maicon, who is rubbish and gave him far too much space. That's the majority, just like Chelsea/Mourinho but with fancier goals plus the whole cheating thing, no one respects a boxer as the best when he cheats why should we for the winners in football. People over exaggerate how good the goals are just because it's Barca as well. Two of the best goals I've seen are Bolton's 2 against Bpool and no one creamed over them as it weren't messi finishing it. People just follow the media instead of forming a opinion themselves. Same happened with Rooney's chip (or volley) plastered every where when Beattie's (and Zenden's) are better. I had done a better reply but I miss-opened a new tab and lost it .
  10. Bale holds the record for not being on the winning side in a Premier League match. His control is terrible, he literally hits it forward and hopes his pace will be enough to beat a man rather than a controlled dribble. He was fully nullified by Neville and Coleman had a ball running down the wing from him. I don't even rate Coleman but he tore Spurs a new one. I've said this before, Spurs are only good against lower teams were Bale's pace is a bigger advantage because the other teams players don't have the higher level of ability the top clubs have. Top 8 without Newcastle and Spurs points tally is the lowest and their goal difference -11, over twice as bad as the next lowest (Everton -5). Barca are boring, I thought this is the consensus now?
  11. That doesn't mean Coleman is very good.
  12. Cheating is cheating, takes a whole lot away from Barca. TBH they bore me, some lovely goals but not enough entertainment.
  13. I find it hard to accept running as a skill when it comes to football. I know a certain pace is needed but when all a player has is an extra yard or 2 and feck all else to his game its upsetting to see. Phil Neville proved that at the top level there isn't that much of an advantage and that Bale isn't a footballer.
  14. Barcas first was offside First half Real, then (the dirty diving cheats) Barca since they equalised.
  15. Spot on! And now for the rant *big breath* He's just Coleman with a better strike, even looks a bit like him. Coleman is probably better overall as he was never so shite his team didn't win with him on the pitch for 50 games though. I'd put Bale in the non-footballers category with the Walcotts and Agbonlahors. Don't see why these players who only have pace get rated when the players who just kick people (Brown, Andrews, Henry) get berated. Both lots are shite and shouldn't be allowed on a football pitch unless they have some proper footballing ability.
  16. Beneyoun may cover 2 of them positions. Personally believe we're 2 WC players from challenging for the league. Barkley could turn out to be one, and then all we need is a unicorn of a striker (as every other club prays for one too) and from the reviews Niang could be it.
  17. Good utility player, looks like Moyes will be able to show what he can do with a squad... Or as the Daily Fail would put it: A mini audition for United to see how he handles players who don't play every week. Competition for places/quality players to rotate, may change my prediction from 4th to 3rd.
  18. Nice to see a sentence about Everton start with that, as it's the first time we've had a full squad in a long time. Remember when the bench changed to 7 subs as it really highlighted are lack of depth.
  19. I'm not saying he's worth it. Just that I can see why Sunderland would pay it. I'd say the £6 mil for McFadden or £2.5 mil we got for Bent is more shocking than this. With the more shocking transfers like nearly every Dogleish signing, Torres, Lescott, Milner, Kolo Toure, De Jong, Bruno Alves, Angel, Curtis Davies, Turner, Young.

    Villa

Not a fan of the Everton Numbers on the OS, but we don't usually follow the script so hopefully that's a big fat 3 next year. The bottom one is shocking considering how much we dominate and create against them. 2 Times in the Premier League era Everton have won their opening two fixtures - in 1993/94 and 2007/08. 12 League games without a win against Villa, the longest such run against any side in the Premier League. Our last victory was by a 4-1 scoreline at Goodison in March 2006, although we did beat them 3-1 in the FA Cup in February 2009.
  21. Add the innovation (a whole lot of firsts), ethics and integrity of the club, nice to see that our players don't surround the ref. Disgrace that it is something to be proud of and we get less decisions, but that's the FA's fault.
  22. Different circumstances which have had a massive affect on the price. Rangers had to sell to try avoid liquidation and on top of that Jela was unproven in the prem. Whereas Wolves are in a solid financial position and are only selling him because his 'head has gone'.
  23. Personally I thought the £8 mil Wolves paid was high as he weren't fully proven, but that he has justified that valuation. There is a lot more money in football now and the going rate for a 25 y.o. striker that will get you 10+ goals was 10+ million 5 years ago so as much as it is a crazy fee it makes sense in the premier league's economy.
  24. Suggestion #363 We give Lucas Neill 38 points at the start of every season. I think allocating points based on the % of votes they got would give a good indication for all the players, but it still wouldn't sort the problem of balancing the weight of the game and how good the individuals performances are so probs best sticking with the old. Anyhow... 91% 5 points, 81% 4 points and 1 point to the runner up* 51-80% 3 points and 2 points to the runner up* if they have over 40%, if not split between the next 2 runners up. 10-50% 2 points if over 20% 1 if not, and 1 point to the runners up* (max 4) *Runner up needs over 10% to be eligible for a point A simpler method using % is to allocate a point for every 10%, but this is basically the same as the old method but will save a bit of time by adding lower numbers rather than each tally of votes.
