Essien looked like a shadow of his former self last time he played us, well most the Chelsea midfield did to be fair, think Lampard was coming back from injury. Although it still shouldn't take from the fact Felli and the rest of the booys bossed them.
N'Zonzi on the cheap is worth while, was raved abut not long ago. Depending on the price we should be able to make a penny on him if he doesn't cut the mustard here.
He'd get more mins here than he did at Arsenal. He could be with rotated with Naismith, or 1st choice back-up a head of RM Coleman, LM Gueye, or if Felli gets injured (or Osman and Felli drops back) as Barkley isn't ready to be 2nd choice AM yet and would save us from Moyes' square hole syndrome. Overall he's a very versatile player and would give Moyes more options formation-wise be it to keeping the usual set up or changing it as the opposition will struggle to guess the formation/general tactics when they see his name on the team sheet.
Baines and Distin would be suited more for the club captain role, seem like really nice people. They don't give off a Joan of Arc vibe that natural leaders do that inspires those around them.
Naismith played similar to how I'd of hoped Coleman would have progressed to. Both were good in spells, but had silly moments - Gueye also. All 3 would have been worthy of motm if they'd done it over the full match.
I'd hope Johnny H, Fellaini, and Osman are all considered first. Would be more beneficial to the first two getting them some leeway off the refs. Gibson gets on with his job quietly not a natural leader for me. Atm Hibbo should be in for a shout for the arm band.
Slightly breaking the rules, personal terms still to be agreed.
Queens Park Rangers have announced they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the permanent transfer of midfielder Esteban Granero.
Man City have spunked £4 mil on Maicon.
Terry, Gerrard, and Defoe shouldn't be in the England set up. Too old to play in the next tournament.
Welbeck, Cleverley, and OAC all shouldn't be in the team yet as they haven't shown enough in the league.
Yes. He was better than usual but still had his running in circles moments, if it was most improved man in the match he'd win it. Overall his performance was no better than Naismith's.

Lucas is injured for 2 months, one of the only kopite players I like. Good news is he'll miss the derby.
He was like a dog chasing his tail at the beginning. Him and Naismith seem to lack in decision-making, although Coleman's has improved from last year.
Gueye was involved in a few nice build ups with little lay offs, admittedly he gave the ball away softly at times but no more than Naismith just Naismith done more running. Same goes for Miralles they all had good spells and sloppy spells. Think Anichebe didn't help any of them though.
I don't see why Coleman is getting so much praise, he still looked lost at times and wasn't really tested defensively. Think people are being overly harsh on Gueye, he was good in spells. Between Osman, Neville and Miralles. The first 2 for making sure no one got past and constantly getting the ball to the attacking players and Miralles for being the most productive. Gone for Osman as he got forward and created as well.
