  1. There are a fair few in La Liga who are free agents at the end of this season I don't know much about most of them to be honest just thought I'd throw it in and see if anyone knows if any would be worth a punt: http://www.insidespa...ts-summer-2012/

Raul Garcia is the name that sticks out to me, but we dont need him. Castro or De Mul could be a decent squad player, better option than Coleman. I'd love Ruud Van Nistelrooy to come and teach the kids, or Kennedy Bakircioglu just to hear Kamara try say his name rofl.gif

Abidal (or Raul Bravo if he's still a LB) could cover for Baines. Theres a few keepers that probs wouldnt mind a year on the bench.

The likes of Senna, Ponzio, Lopez, Miguel, Del Horno, Perea and ruben Suarez would be a decent signings for a team like Wigan. Few others who used to be good but they're probs all finished.

Spanish league is definitely nowhere near the prem if Nacho Novo gets a game over there, cant beleive he's still a footballer.

Didn't say he spent money well and it was more like £100m - he's still a good manager e.g getting results.

Especially against us, his lucks phenomenal against Everton the conversion rate of the strikers must be the highest in the league when ever they played us. They'd have 3 shots to our 15 and win 3-2, with dog shit footbal. When they beat us one nil at their ground sticks in my head we always battered them yet they managed a result, I wouldnt mind if they played us off the park but they werent even close to us(this is why I may be a wee bit biased against them aha). Was made up when we showed them up in the FA cup.

O'Neill isn't awful, proven at Leicester, Villa and now Sunderland (they were in the shit before he came) in the Prem. Yeah they've lost players but that's what happens with lack of stability at a club... next subject Randy Lerner...

Randy Lerner backed him for £40 mil, he let Gary Cahill go and brought in £8 million Curtis Davies. Played awful football that relied solely on pace on the counter. The Bruce sacking was a rash decision, Sunderland had a lot of new players and let Gyan their best player go out on loan. They played better football last season as well.

  4. Different situation - yes, different circumstances - yes... but I look at Villa now and think how 'stable' they were under O'Neill. I really do fear that happening to us post-Moyes. Say what you want about negative and boring football but ultimately football is a results based game and there's no doubt that Moyes and O'Neill are alike in the fact that they get results.

O'Neill is awful, the bubble was always gonna burst at Villa he jumped ship before he got the blame. Losing Milner, Barry, Downing, and Young hasn't helped either.

  5. Good box to box midfielder but think Barkley is gonna be a better player and if we can get Hoilett (moyes was watching him saturday) thats the centre of the park sorted. I expect what little money we have/generate is on some wide players with pace. Would sell Coleman to be honest if we get £6-8 million.

£6-8 million for Coleman, I'd be happy with £3 mil. Shouldnt be anywhere near our team next year, loan him to a team willing to play him right back next season or just get rid.

  6. on a side note anyone see the story about that chap who put a bet on? jelavic first scorer and 4-4 result...4000/1 he put a quid on it

Yeah,he's picked a few other players as well so he probs puts 4-4 every week. Nice 4 grand in his pocket though so it's been worth his while.

  7. I dont think we will ever see the best of big vic. I like Vellios, but he could end up being a little cash in and sell him off. Silva will probably go in the summer too.

Pace is what this team needs, we have seen the difference in our play when Donovan has come in, we have needed pace for a long time.

Agree we need pace, but would rather it be down the flanks. We only play one up top so they need to have more to their game than pace. If Dempsey does come I'd like to see a clever striker in the mold of Hernandez/Higuain to find the gaps always in the right place right time, rather than a Agbonlahor or Defoe who just run and hope.

Bit of a shit post from me as I can't think of many goal poachers we could afford, but thats why we have scouts :). Maybe Owen for a season.

I've noticed his one touch finishing, he seems to miss when he takes a touch.

If he became available, i'd like us to get Gabby Agbonlahor, I think his raw pace would be great next to Jelavic. If we can get a forward who could play wide left, maybe Dempsey a 433 could be very exciting, and unstopable on the counter with pace.

Agbonlahor is a step in the wrong direction, be like signing Marcus Bent. Got no footballing talent, just a quick runner, rather stick with what we have. Big Vic will stand up and be counted for next season, Vellios is useful and McAleny looks a real prospect as well. Joao Silva is still on the books as well. I'd rather look at other positions first, unless there is a Sturridge or Hernandez going cheap.
