  1. didn't he start against stoke? the biggest backline in the prem? and get it hoofed upto him? drogba would struggle with that

Barely got a touch of the ball, not his fault thou the midfield didnt create anything probs cos they were used to having Saha dropping so deep (Same happened in the Fulham game).

  2. We probably are best off without him in the long run, he would cause to much unrest in the dressing room with his playboy image

Thinking about his off field if it is true he's going to Liverpool it's probs for the piss up with Carroll and the rest of them. That said I'd love to have a pint with him.

  3. Thats exactly why I am torn on him as I think he is a great player and has the potential to be a world beater. He is a perfect sub to bring on if we are losing however if its a tight game and we are drawing he would eithier go and win us the match or go and lose it or probably do both within 10 minutes!

Very true. Moyes must have some hidden gems hiding in the reserves or lower leagues if he thinks we're better off without him.

  4. Didnt actually mean in financial terms I was thinking he is a luxury that our team can't afford with him being sloppy in possession and giving the ball away, our team isnt good enough to be able to cope with him dong that all the time, especially in our half because in premier league we will get punished.

Ah, my bad. Totally agree, but disagree at the same time (Red card.png to myself for the oxymoron) think he could be utilised an impact sub and against weaker opposition when he wouldnt have to be as defensive.

From the reaction of Moyes today though he's a gonna anyway, wouldnt be surprised if he's already signed for the poo over the park.

  5. Didn't see that one Pete, just think he is in the Moyes kind of frame that's all. Solid, reliable etc... By the way what did he say? Was he being a knob about us?

Surprised you would like to see another Moyes type. I'd like to see someone less risk adverse.

Can't remember exactly, but he was very bitter and wouldnt give any credit to Everton. Think it was along the line of we dominated a game should have had a pen, and he focused on them missing a sitter and going on like they should have won even though that was their only chance of the game

Edit: think it was this game

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/blackburn-rovers-0-everton-0-moyes-calls-for-more-clarity-in-offside-law-777739.html

I was wrong about a pen it was an Andy Johnson offside goal. I remember the keeper had come a long way but there was still 2 players he had to go past so wasn't offside.

  6. Why? I criticise Moyes when he gets thing wrong and applaud him when he gets decisions right, and yeah mate it was sarcasm, but I was not joking about Mark Hughes though!

I was asking wether you were naming Mark Hughes as an alternative so people would see we don't have it too bad with Moyes. I don't know many Evertonian's who are a fan of Mark Hughes after the comments after the B'burn game so thought you were being sarcastic.

  7. i actually think we lost the semi final at anfield when we played a weakend team we should have gone to anfield with a full team, i do blame moyes for that, but do you not think liverpool had luck with the intended backpass by distin.

Think the goal was always coming, I don't blame Distin had no help off the ref(early yellow for a nothing foul on Suarez who done much worst without punishment) and Moyes should have changed things up we were never gone just hold onto a one nil by sitting back. The Coleman sub was a terrible decision as well, mind boggling, Coleman gives the ball away more than anyone else Anichebe or McFadden would have been better options and before their 1st goal.

well jags has hardly played, saha has gone, distin i think can leave in the summer i think on a free, cahill his time is nearly up,i do think we need a revamp it might mean a couple of players being sold, which i think will happen.

Only players I can see us selling are players I'd want to stay like Fellaini, Baines and Heitinga :(, only player worth selling is Jags as it would give Duffy a chance or even let Yobo back into the frame. I'd like to keep everyone else but change their roles, Cahill just isnt a 90 minute footballer anymore. The youth to be given more of a chance and buy a winger with any cash we have.

  8. I am shaking my head at this thread so much my head might fall off. Has David Moyes initiated a clause in his new contract enabling him to talk to other clubs? No. Does it look like he is going to jail in the near future? No. Are we about to get relegated? No. Has he reached the F.A Cup semi final? Yes. Will we finish 8th or higher? Yes. Do I want him to leave? ''The hell I do!'' However, IF Moyes does decide to quit, then I want Mark Hughes as manager. 67.gif By the way I voted for Moyes, as if people did not know.

Is that your way of scaring people to vote Moyes or sarcasm?

  9. so do you have an answer to the problem.

Play our players to their strengths, and attack more. If somethings not working change it eg. Cahill Saha and Jags Distin

The sad thing is, it really is this simple to improve on what has been the most predictable lack lust Everton side I've ever seen. 1st half of the season we couldn't see where a goal was coming from, with expectations of our forward play on a LB and set pieces taken by Baines as well. Theres no defence for Moyes' predictable crab fodder we endured. Even now when the players start playing more flowing football you can see their weighed down by Moyes not to be as creative. We don't see enough through balls at Everton as they're the easiest way of giving the ball away, but they have a massive pay-off that Moyes just isnt willing to risk for.

  10. Plenty of the 'so-called' legal highs are as strong as the real thing now, some are stronger.

Have a friend who's very experimental with drugs, seen him try the legal high Salvia was not a pretty sight. He ended up going outside for 5mins looking at his hand shitting himself.

  11. i agree with most of what your saying,i think we are all still shell shocked with yet another inept performance against liverpool and people are looking to blame and moyes is taking most of it.

i still think moyes is our best option he just needs to have some luck and be more attack minded.

but i think this year he might leave unless he gets money to spend.

Nothing to do with luck, the last 2 games against Liverpool were a disgrace. If he was more attack minded we'd be challenging for Europe, but we knew this at the start of the season. The league was there to be attacked and Moyes was too busy trying to set a record for most defenders in an 11 to notice.

  12. Harsh on Distin?huh.png

"Expected" on the beeb = guessed. We have a better idea than they do so really no loss.

I left him out of the team, purely down to Moyes new rotation system (that he's so fond of now it's Jags who should be twiddling his thumbs on the bench). He could easily be left back, or Heitinga on the bench instead on Sunday.

Edit: just noticed BoroBlue left him out the squad, very harsh indeed.

  13. come on were all a bit too intellegent to believe that arent we?

Velious is in the reserves because he is not even close to being a prem player. we have seen that when he gets too long in a match, give him 15 mins and he looks ok, but any longer and it shows he is not ready yet.

Drenthe is not bigger than EFC and until he realises this i couldnt care who he goes to. he either does it our way and respects our club or bye bye!

    Haf,

Gotta ask mate and i dont mean this anything other than just a question.

But is it just frustration at how mediocre we have been for the last 10 years that is inspiring your , what comes accross as utter hatred of moyes? I understand your frustration i really do but is it all moyes fault? is he really that bad or could it be he is at a club that stifles him too.....because of the cash flow?

But back on subject i think we really need to be careful with Barkley.....but still i get goosebumps at the thought of him playing part against united.

Not a good enough excuse. We havent spent big as we secured what we have, he has been backed in the form of wages. We now have a similar wage structure to Spurs, who used to pay double what we did. Now more than the likes of Newcastle.

  14. No, essentially i think that Moyes probably should stay for now(it's not my prefered option) but he has to adapt his mentality a bit, some of the dross we have seen this season at times is just not good enough for a club like ours, but he needs to move with the times a bit otherwise United won't touch him with a bargepole(probably what he's holding on for) so if for that reason only.

He's had 3 seasons to adapt, but he's a stubborn old fart.

  15. Because we dont have the money to pay compensation for a better manager than him whos in a job not only that surely we would have to pay moyes a few million to end his contract we really dont have any money and with a chairman who backs moyes 100% its not going to happen is it, I take it your a lambert/rodgers fan get over them now they might play a bit of football but look at benfica, lisbon etc its not the manager its the players best suited styles of play we dont pass it like other teams thats the negative on moyes but we would crumble if moyes left next week and players like fellaini heitenga are going to be looking elsewhere its more than just moyes its the big picture give us 2 years after moyes left and we will be back in the 90s again poor league positions.

Moyes will be out of contract, AVB is out of contract and Bilic wouldnt be expensive as he would want to come. Heitinga would be given more freedom to play his natural game, no more hoof ball from the back :). Also Fellaini wouldnt be wasted all over the park. Moyes would be a better manager if he reduced the orders and just played football.

  16. vellios was moved to the reserves because other strikers had games written into their contracts apparently...could it be the case with barkley?

What striker had that, Saha? The clubs a disgrace if they have guarenteed quatas in the contracts. Pretty sure Jags must have got one in his when Heitinga came, only explanation for him not getting dropped for soo long when he was utter dogshit.

  17. I agree, but in this case, 4/20 sounds a lot better when you say it than 20/4, silly i know.

It's annoying to see other counties have embraced it, and stoneage GB is well er still stuck in the stoneage, and what makes it more funny is that the Liberals esentialy want to decriminalise it and the Conservatives don't.

From and online dictionary, Liberal: Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry. I find it ironic that the Liberals don't seem to understand what liberal means most the time, but it's fitting for them as a party to decriminalise it, but they should really be making more of an effort.

It makes sense for Americans doing it that way though, because they tend to actually say the month followed by the day.

I know, but it just doesn't follow any logic to do it that way.

  18. I still remember the Pienaar one from a couple of season ago. They said he'd be back in a week and I think he was out for around 2 months and they didn't even mention anything about it!

Same thing with Osman this year, he vanished in January.

  19. Just to say to anyone who smokes a bit of ganja, Happy 4/20 today!! hope to see you all light up at 4.20pm smile.png

For those who have no idea what im on about: http://en.wikipedia....nnabis_culture)

there are pro-cannabis marches and 'public smokes' all over the world today, huge one going on in Hyde Park.

Month first then the day thats just backwards. I hate how Americans do this, it follows no logical reasoning at all shaking fist.png .

Rallies do nothing, only reason its not legal is for political reasons and a rally isn't going to change any of their minds(even though the majority have smoked it before). I don't even smoke, just annoys me they don't tax it and pay off the deficit or better yet lower food taxes.

  20. Do you really think that Moyes is doubting his skill? He's probably just doing the right thing by easing him in gently after seeing what's happened to Rodwell. I'm quite happy he's done it this way, and I'm happy Ross has signed a new contract with the view to doing this. You can't just chuck 17/18 year olds on week in week out, one injury and they're not back up to scratch for a long time. Hope to see him this season with a few sub appearances though, I've not seen a massive amount of him yet.

I think he's scared of it. Moyes like to give players a 101 instructions which will restrict Barkley. Needs more attacking people in the set up to make the most of Barkley, or at least one of Round or Stubbs to grow a pair and tell Moyes to just let him play.
