Yep... Lukaku did his job in the first half and scored. Second half he hardly moved and gave the ball away consistently again, same as in the Newcastle game. Should have came off a lot earlier, as he's clearly not fit enough to play the full 90 yet. With regard to Naismith, I think there's valid points on both sides. If we had the quality for him to not be a starter, then he wouldn't be. Due to others not standing up yesterday, he looked to be one of the better Everton players on the pitch. Credit where its due.

Naismith and McCarthy both played really well I thought and in contention for MOTM. Coleman never stopped working and was always trying to be an option down the wing. Lukaku was again a beast in the first half, but really struggled to make much of an impact in the second half due to how hard he'd worked. Osman was completely anonymous for me, and needs to miss out next game. Jagielka looked scared to death every time he got the ball, and stopped the pace of some of our counter attacking.

Just finished watching the game now, and although I think City probably deserved to win based on the second half I think the referee had far too much of an impact today with his completely inconsistent performance. The two penalty decisions. Far more contact on Lukaku than on Zabaleta yet only one is given. Silva committed 4 (I think) fouls worthy of a yellow card when we were breaking quickly, yet only one gets punished. Coleman makes one 'similar' challenge, Silva makes a meal of... Booking. The incident on the edge of the box prior to Aguero's goal, should have been a free kick to us due to the aggressive nature of Negredo which then led to Coleman, naively arguing the toss with him. Dog shit performance from the ref + not good enough in the second half again = 3-1

City are good, however we've got the wood on them I think and currently we're well capable of carrying the run of good results even further.

So many players in with a shout tonight. Lukaku: 2 goals and looked unplayable in that first half. Distin: Immense as per the norm now. Baines: Impressive throughout, but I thought second half he worked incredibly hard to win back possession and was a constant outlet. McCarthy: Did the simple stuff well, and allowed others to play. Barkley: Looked the real deal tonight, Link up play with Lukaku was fantastic, and I'm looking forward to seeing even more. MOTM for me though has to go Coleman. This fella just didn't stop all game. Real mature and cultured performance. Constant threat, and unlucky not to score.

Deulofeu is going to make someone look stupid with his close control. Freak. I think we just switched off second half because we were so far in front. Few of the lads looked goosed aswell as the half went on. Lukaku for example. 5 points clear of United too. lol.

Fulham are crap. We could and should have been out of sight in the first half! I don't care if people call it Mickey Mouse, but I wanted to win this cup. This is often the cup that teams get a little success winning, and set's them up for a run at some bigger things. Oh and we've never won it!
