  1. It's sickening how much this has been wound up. It's getting as much attention as the bloody fighting in gaza. He's a big player and it was probably a rival fan trying to wind him up. It's been blown out of all proportion. I don't think Stevie should have been out as late as he was though.
  2. what? No, he wasn't. That's the point. Stevie gets lots of abuse but he's professional enough to ignore it.
  3. As a guy I think he's sound plus he's Scottish which is good for me. But he's also the manager of the Blues. Therefore, no I don't like him.
  4. If I was Stevie I'd say "b*llocks to this" and quit. The way the England fans incessantly moan drive me up the wall: "Oh, how convenient that he's injured for only a week." Even the blooming English staff admitted that he's injured. What more proof do they want? Do they want to see his leg amputated and him hopping around on one leg? Jings! It's not a duty to play for England. Nobody should be telling you whether you should represent your country or not; it's your own decision. I think the whole diving debacle is silly and I disagree that he dives but having said that, the fact that he even might have dived has riled a few fans up. It's why Carra is perhaps the bigger fans' favourite. When he quit England we all said "Get in there Carra" but if Stevie does it then I'm not sure there would be a different reaction. But yeah, maybe because I'm Scottish I have different values for the England team but I just don't see why you'd be proud representing a country that constantly mock the Scouse region, and it's players, and boo their own players. Yes Blue 250 I did get riled up when I wrote that but then it's a good subject for banter, I'll give you that.
  5. Hehe, good idea although feel free to sign the next Maxsim Tsigalko
  6. I told you I wouldn't convince you so I won't say anymore. All I will say is that the luckypool tag is just boring now. Yes, we are the most succesful club in England by fluke. As far as I can see all the goals at Istanbul were right to count, both goals against you lot were right to count plus we had one wrongly disallowed and I don't think we've been particularly lucky in the Premier League in 20 years. Besides, this year we've been very consistent. You honestly think that Steven Gerrard fancies a week off? Honestly? Please tell me this is your honest opinion. He loves football and is the type of player that hates getting substituted, let alone a game off. Perhaps he's just, you know, injured? Like players do get injured? It's a possibility that you might want to accept. Besides I couldn't give a toss if he plays for England. Best news I've heard this week. Oh my goodness. You're really not shaking off the bitter tag saying something like that are you? Pulling out an incident that occured 6 years ago? I know that 90% of the guys on this board wouldn't be sad enough to pick out an example as old as that but please.
  7. Steven Gerrard has dived int he past but to put him up with Ronaldo is ridiculous who dives every game. Stevie's admitted to diving in the past and said he felt sick after it. He says it's everything that's wrong with the game. Yes, that wasn't a penalty against Athletico but I don't think it was a dive. There was enough contact to go down. Of course Everton fans are going to say "Eww, diver" though because you are our rivals. So I won't some of convince you but I'm just putting that point across.
  8. First comment for the Red :P

  9. Fair enough. As long as he's not buying the bloody thing. The story looks rubbish to me but has it been quoted in any other papers?
  10. First game of watched of youse in a while. A bit like a Liverpool game, hundreds of chances then got the late winner. Jagielka did look good but I was looking at the attack more to be honest. Fellaini looks a decent purchase.
  11. Never enjoyed Rugby League as much as Union. How are Scotland doing in it though?
  12. Think you've got it spot on there. I like the one of Lescott. Pretty accurate. Arteta one is pants.
  13. Plus your quoting the rag. Are quotes from the S*n always allowed on here?
  14. If there's anything I've learned as a Red is that one result won't change much. We beat United and then flipping Stoke held us. We've bounced back since then but you can never get too carried away. You'll be up the table soon. You have too good a squad not to.
  15. Dave from Newcastle is the best with his Shola Ameobi obsession
  16. I'd argue that every top flight team has players like that. For us Carragher regular dishes them out and had a few against the Chavs. Apart from that there aren't many others. Gerrard occasionally does them and then gets loads of credit for them but Carra really is the unsung hero. Saves us with some proper challenges. Arsenal have Toure, United have Vidic and then there's others. I think it's more the referees are getting poorer than the tackles weaker.
  17. Not my favourite season but at least it came in a period of dominance for Mersey football.
  18. +1 I completely agree. Also, as a Scotland fan I can say right now that we'd take Ashley Cole over the defenders we have in a heartbeat. England fans really need to stop whining. They have world class in all positions.
  19. Yes but you wouldn't be saying he's a shit house if he was a red turned blue. Pot Kettle
  20. He's a hypocrite. Ever since 2001 where he refused to even acknowledge that we deserved to win the cup final I've disliked him. He moans at challenges on his players and yet Arsenal have produced some of the most dirty players I've ever seen. Even under Wenger they had the "Dirty Arsenal" tag for years.
  21. I hope you them over. If Arsenal lose this then I think it'll be one less team to worry about in the title race.
  22. So we hear Jimmy. I don't see how you can dislike him over the overpaid moneybags scum such as Cashley Cole who once said that 50,000 a week was an insult. Carra loves football, it doesn't matter who it is he's playing for, he loves football. I also firmly believe he loves Liverpool but I don't think I'll ever convince the Blues that.
  23. Chelsea #1? Joke. Real should take top spot, us second. Chelsea would be below you, far below.
  24. I encourage all to answer the quizzie. RAWK are good lads. Although TIA is better I'll answer the Blues one Jimmy seeing as you asked him. --- How has the season been shaping up so far? It's a tough one to call. We finally have width in the shape of Riera but our overall pattern isn't there yet. We looked desperate against Stoke and Marseille however we are able to raise our game against the big teams now (I hope). What are your expectations for this season? Have they changed from day one? If I'm honest I couldn't see us winning the title at the beginning of the season and I still don't. We are getting closer though. We just have to keep plugging away and not throw too many points away at this stage. Who do you think is your most important player(s)? Steven Gerrard. Your worst player(s)? Voronin. Kuyt is finally starting to get on my nerves too. For all the effort he isn't very good. Do you have a particular memory of any previous meeting between our clubs? Say something that happened to you that day or a decision you disagreed with? No. We'll leave it there. What sort of line-up will be put out against us? I hope that Rafa finally goes for two out and out wingers with Riera and Babel/Pennant but he may stick Kuyt on the right (again) with Torres and Keane up front. If Keane plays this could be a good chance for his first goal. Do you have any favourite/best chant(s) and perhaps any that require an explanation? No. You'll never walk alone. Not hard is it Where do you expect Everton and Liverpool to finish in the Premier League? We'll finish 3rd, maybe 4th. Everton 8th or 9th. Cup Winners - cup winners? League cup? EPL - Chelsea UEFA Cup - AC Milan FA Cup - Chelsea Ladies league - Don't have a clue Which Everton player will you fear the most? Arteta if he plays. Do you hate Everton fans, and why? No. Of course not. I'd be hating half my family. Care to predict the score? No. Nah, just kidding. I'll go for a 2-1 win to us again.
