read morunhio's comments. the stuff about how chelsea should have won was a bit annoying but when he speaks about Everton at the end I thought it was quite good. always seems like he has a lot of respect for Everton when he speaks about us. about the drogba goal that was given as offside, technically I'd say he was onside. gudjohnson (ouch bad spelling!) was well offside however he didn't intefere with play, Drogba was in line with the last defender so the goal should have counted. unless the linesman considered that gudjohnson being so close to the ball, goal and keeper when it happend may have hampered the keeper possibly. In any case I can understand his frustration but have got to laugh at the way he says it! "we didn't win?" "we scored two goals, two beautiful goals"

i'm still not too sure. i think their too similar and someone "like" bent would be more suited. was mcfadden on the bench on sunday as I didn't see him??

arteta was easily man of the match followed by Yobo. Arteta was the only player that really looked like creating anything, he was never scared to pick the ball up and run with it and Chelsea seemed quite happy to give him a bit of space to do it! Wasn't Chelsea at their best yesterday but they still looked impressive at times, especially on the break but we held them off well and even looked like we could get ourselves into scoring positions when we countered them. good to see, hopefully we come off with a win in the league cup after that.

IMO Beattie is much much much more of a faliure than crouch. I thought Crouch would do really well at the shite when he moved as I rated him as quite a decent player. However it simply hasn't hapened for the lad. I don't think he was good enough or ready for the england team though. I don't know why their not here but I'm sure whatever we could say in return about crouch would only make them laugh at our "bitterness". lets face it, theyv'e got one overpriced striker that can't score but several players that can, we've got one overpriced striker that can't score and none that can!

i'd rather be playing up front than him at the moment. at least i never shirk a fuckin game. I don't think i've ever missed a game through injury, though I play left mid and not up front i'd sure as hell play more games tha him! the lad could be as good as shrek or henry for all i care but if he's gets himself injured every time he walks on a blade of grass then he's no good to anyone.

OMG the bastards are scoring for fun! 4 different goal scorers and another team walking away5 foot shorter having played at stamford bridge. i'd honestly be happy with 2-0 in this game and a good showing from the team, 20 minutes from the VDM and krodrup to show themselves. there's really nothing possitive i can say about this game. a few weeks ago i'd probably have said that if we can score then we've got a chance and we can turn things around. but against chelsea if we score they'll probably make it their aim to score more than they would otherwise for the insult of us scoring against them!

did anyone watch this game? sounds like VDM is keen to get into the first team after last night. and he claims to have put some good crosses in. saviour he may not be but god i'd love to see someone putting half decent balls in the box for us! i'd personally like to see him make the bench on sunday and if were getting slaughtered then he might as well come on for a run out. if were some how fighting for a draw or god forbid...are winning then obviously we'll leave him on the bench.

i spent ages looking at the rules of the champions league and uefa cup on the uefa site and couldn't find anything that suggested teams knocked out in cl qualifiying would make the uefa cup. the only thing it mentioned of the sorts was teams that come third in their group in CL group stage would make uefa.

well after we lost 2-1 in a closely thought match against villareal the shite fans came on and said that we were an embarrassment to english football and shouldn't be in Europe. Last night Liverpool showed ONCE AGAIN how much they rely on steven gerrard. As soon as I knew gerrard was out I put money on the shite to lose, they duly obliged! Can any Liverpool fan swamping this site reply and manage to say any different that you rely on Stevie G and also Alonso to a lesser extent. When those players don't play your playing poorly, struggling to score goals and looking very shaky going forward. it was only in the last 10 minutes that you produced anything and even then Cisse kept showing everyone that he can't hit the net. Did you deserve to go through? I think so, but only just sofia were good on the attack, very good on the ball and defended pretty well BUT Liverpool have a good defence and defended well against everything Sofia tried. Also and rather unfortunately I don't think Sofia thought they could win 3-0 so when they went 1-0 up they sat on it and just tried to take the victory, going home glorious but out having beaten the european champions at their own ground. If they'd really gone for it, it could have been a very interesting second half!

it'll probably get reviewed if he ends up playing tomorrow night due to bent and beattie being injured. wouldn't you love to see the lad score 2 goals tomorrow! at the same time it would cause us a lot of problems and pressure to play him a lot more. i'd like to see him start getting the odd game but he needs to be slowly brought in and trained well to ensure he's fully ready before playing regular first team football. looks like a good talent though and I hope he makes it.

mcfadden blew his chance, played poorly and when he should have been dribbling his way down to the corner posts or hoofing it as far as possible he was giving it away all the fekin time! osman did well when he came on. anyone that watched sky...(sorry to leave you out willo) the bloke on sky seemed to have the opinion that we were playing 4-3-3! with ferguson, bent and kilbane up front! where do they get these guys from?!?! maybe 4-4-2 you could say with bent pushing up front but never killa! not as bad as everyone made out really, we didn't play great but we defended against Bolton's boring long high ball into the box brilliantly all day. they never looked like scoring until the final couple of minutes and we took our chance to score when it came. we only had 2 shots on goal but scored. bolton had 15 (possibly more) and we only let them get 2 on target. that wasn't bad play on their part, that was us just doing enough from those crosses even when they won the header. lets just hope were not the team that has to soak up the pressure like that on wednesday. after the goal however we could have scored more and especialy bent started making some good runs on to some good passes from osman, cahill and arteta. ashame he's both isolated and that he doesn't quite have that magic touch to finish something a little tough!
