  1. anyone know if this is on sky? I just looked at the fixtures on the sky site but it doesn't have a channel assiociated with it. it might not be as it's a fixture that's been recently changed because of European games.
  2. could you not get it? i'm sure you could at a cheaper price than i pay! in the UK isn't minimum a lot of companies are doing at 2Mb? we've no choice here in lil guernsey, it was standard 512/256 until a month ago when they upgraded everyone to 1Mb/256 all at £26 per month. i've seen hundreds of better offers than that on fast connections in England!
  3. I'd like to hope he hasn't. as much as I value the service he's given us I don't feel that he can take the team forward in any way. We may see Vaughn start to play more games and we may see a new striker in January but either way I think benty will start to lose his place now.

  5. not too professional but more interesting that the usual 15 minutes of local ads!
  6. arteta's played the last few games on the wing. Ferrari looks excellent, Valente has taken a while to settle into English football but I thin he will be a good signing and either way he's a resonable player at the least who if he doesn't prove himself is good cover. with 3 new defenders we should have ourselves a strong defence. yet to prove itself but hopefully we can start keeping a few cleansheets now. VDM I think is very promising, hopefully we'll see a lot of good stuff from him this season. Arteta, class player, I'd say he's of the class of player that Man Ure, Arsenal etc buy and the more he plays the more he'll prove himself. He seems to have a good attitude and works hard. while he's small and can fall easily he's not scared to get involved, making challenges and fighting for everything a bit like Cahill. A bit clumsy challenge wise but it is good to see him going for it!
  7. hit the bar 4 times in a row...sounds nearly as shite as Beattie! I'd have scored at least once!
  8. not needed. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/index.php?page_id=7945 I like the way moyes uses the website to try and reassure benty that he's still got a place!
  9. according to the pretty accurate Physioroom site Ferrari, Valente, Naysmith and Vaughn will all be fit as of this weekend. They generally give the date of the next game when a player is going to be fit. For Vaughn I'd imagine he'll therefor start full training at the end of this week and probably won't be considered for a place in the squad for at least 3 or 4 weeks when he's fully fit and has played a few reserve games. The injury's a big blow for him with moyes suggesting Vaughn would may start getting some games just days before he got himself injured! now he's back to where he was at the start of the season really having to give some good reserve performances to get himself on the bench.
  10. I like this attacking formation. now everyone's gone 4 - 1 - 4 - 1 (or 4-5-1) our attack has been shown to be not strong enough to break down the more defensive formation. with a decent attacking 4-4-2 with good overlap from the full backs you've got a really good attacking formation. while I wouldn't say that beattie and ferguson our the best strikers the premiership has to offer they can both head the ball well and take on decent crosses. with balls coming in from VDM, Arteta, A left back and Hibbert (who's crosses look to be improving) we should be able to produce some goals. as well as that we've got Timmy who can get on the end of balls in the air and on the ground and others in the middle who can shoot. VDM and Arteta can both pass well so i really want to see some good stuff coming from the wings now. While it'll take a few games before i start living the dream again I think if Arteta and VDM can stay fit we have the basis on which to score goals. And we've got enough good defenders to cover injuries and keep a solid back 4.
  11. who's this? i can't watch it at work and am intrigued to know what this is and who?!
  12. I use Azeurus. lovely bit of software, you can see some nice stats on your downloads and it runs very smoothly. I'm on a 1 meg down at 256k up broadband link and the best i've had is about 80k download of torrents. however I don't use it that often. I will soon as I've only just realised a the whole 4th series of Family Guy has been on in the US! Also new south parks are on at the moment!
  13. he's played well the last few games he's played. as in better. but he still doesn't cut it, I long since decided he wasnt' up to it. and despite some solid performances and man of the matches for us in a few games this season he really hasn't proved himself. I'd love to have seen him do well but unfortunately he just isn't up to it. I think he was worth the risk as a buy, a promising young lad at not too big a price but I don't think he'll ever be good enough to cut it in the premiership.
  14. micky mouse cup, no one wants to win that shite! even the red shites can agree with us on that one
  15. what was missing last night then? sounded like Arteta was on fire and getting balls in, unleashing shots from outside the box and generally playing the ball around beautifully. he's pretty much our playmaker and if he's playing well then we should be doing well. if he's getting good crosses in and beattie is also playing well then surely goals should have been following. supposedly (see vdm threat in gen Everton talk) VDM also looked good when he came on. I want to know HOW it is that we still couldn't score despite having some obvious quality playing well.
  16. i think he's right footed and prefers to play on the right but can equally play on the left. this also means that he's more likely to pull inside and get a shot in.
  17. doesn't look good with a couple of minutes to go. if you take a look at the minute by minute commentary on bbc/offical efc site you'll notice that artea appears to be our only player! the lads been involved in everything!
  18. well i've been saying we need a player to shoot from outside the box for once so that could be a very possitive move.
  19. he'll score 3, set up 8 and get sent off for celebrating by doing a lap of the pitch with a flare up his arse. definately won't suit the english game! I don't know much about him at all so I can only hope that he adds something possitive to the team and like he keeps saying, can put good crosses in and score goals. he certainly seems confident of his ability!
  20. VDM on the left and Arteta on the right sounds like we could actually get the ball in the box frequently! VDM sounds very up for the game tonight so I hope the lad proves himself.
  21. was hardly a suprising result! look at the basics....palace beat liverpool twice (i think it was twice, at least once anyway!) last season. Liverpool haven't won away this season. Liverpool need to travel down to London to play palace...No Chance! I put 20 quid on this so am counting my pennies today
  22. I don't care either but that's what everyone's been talking about on this topic!
  23. i think the foul came partly through frustration. cahill and SWP had just been running along together with a bit of 50/50 pushing which resulted in SWP falling and sliding on the ground, while he got up very quickly he clearly tried to make up for being beaten by getting straight in there with a tackle which was a bit too late. as has been said, any doubts over weather it was a penalty or not in anyones mind could be quashed by seeing Shaun shaking his head afterwards, clearly frustrated with himself! cracking penalty. the celebration looked a little gay to me! if i had a "they think it's all over" style explantion to it then maybe i'd get it!
