  1. well as the title suggests! big roy has left. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...utd/4449396.stm
  2. boring boring...it's not even debate or banter...it's bollocks. kato in 4 days you've posted 74 posts of bollocks.
  3. fuck me i'm confused, and i didn't even read all of this! so Liverpool are the best team in Europe though not as good as Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd + Everton. They are also not as good as Burnley but they are the best team in Europe. what very confusing thoughts. I think best team in Europe is always going to be something that's debatable. Unless you had all the top division sides from around Europe playing some imense round robin league then it just wouldn't work. The Champions league is a good indication and would be even more interesting if it was one big group rather than several small ones, though obviously due to the number of this games this can't really happen. Liverpool obviously showed themsevels very well in the tournament but they obviously didn't play every team and at the end of the day it's all down to what happens on the day anyway as is any football game. Liverpool never played like the best team in Europe but i'll give credit where it's due, I expected them to lose against 3 different teams, each time they suprised me and each time I lost money on them! While I was very pissed off at losing my cash in the final and seeing the RS turn around the score line, it was certainly a very enjoyable game to watch and they showed a lot of grit and determination to win the game. get over yourselves though as your posts about who's best really don't work! you are the champions of Europe but the Best team in Europe...THAT'S HAVING A LAUGH!
  4. kato you may laugh at my mention of the derby but i'm sure you'll agree that if we win that match then you certainly won't be on this site after the game and won't be on for at the least a few days afterwards. yes?
  5. oh buggar i just read your post and you accepted how crap he is anyway! oh well! the fact that he's playing for the champions of Europe, who's that a good thing for? it's not good for you because he's playing for you. It's not really good for him because he wasn't in the side when they won it! DECEMBER 28TH....the day the RED SHITES are Silenced
  6. until a few weeks ago kato would have probably been right. We all had a beef with Beattie who couldn't score for toffee but now he's scored 2 goals in the premiership plus a goal in Europe he doesn't count. So I can't see any players that match Crouch's current position at Everton. We only have one similarly priced striker and he seems to be learning how to score again. while mr. crouch on the other hand seemed to leave his goal scoring boots someway between southampton and liverpool. lets be honest Kato, as someone that wants some lively banter on an Everton site, you've got to admit he's not quite living up to whatever expectations Rapha had of him. I rate him as a good player, well i'd seen him looking pretty good at Southampton, but he hasn't done you any favours. He hasn't been playing great and that "extra elemant" that both Eriksson and Rapha seem to think he gives is nothing more than Everton's long ball hoof it up the field approach that we've done in the past with Duncan. The lad has more ability than that, but then so does Dunacn, managers just can't see past the height of a player sometimes! you've got to accept for now that until Crouch scores a goal he's going to be every Everton Fan's come back when you rip it out of us. Why you ask? Well you should be pleased that that's all we come back with because right now there's not a lot else we can say. your not playing great but your above us and have a game in hand, we haven't played a derby yet and you broke you poor away record by winning the other week. As well as that you seem to be doing well in the Champions League Again. So we thank you Crouch for providing us with a little amunition!
  7. Rapha watched the film the BFG one night. The next day he spent £7 Million buying himself a copy. bet he wished he'd gone to Asda where he could have bought himself a copy for £5.97. pocket the difference there Mr Benitez!
  8. i know i know! I'm a major better, betting on most horse races and a lot of football matches and so often i've been stung by Everton. I've stopped betting on them (or against them) but I just fancy this one! Just couldn't resist, I like the odds. feel free to lame a fated blame on me when we dont win!
  9. 2/1 for us to beat West Brom this weekend. I know were away from home but we've improved form a lot recently and are looking very strong at the back. Brom are letting a lot of goals in and Chris Kirkland won't be back this weekend. Zoltan Gera is also injured. With VDM now going to be pretty much 100% fit we should be looking very strong this weekend. These odds are with betdaq www.betdaq.co.uk just checked willhill and the odds are much lower and make Everton favourites. take it while you can!!!
  10. GO SKIPPIES!!! 4-2 ON PENALTIES Cahill didn't take one.
  11. penalties looming. I don't think he'll be playing on Saturday. Well I sure hope he's not! as a pretty passionate Australian i'm sure it'd give him a big boost mentaly to know that he's got the world cup to look forward to next year. if they can just knock in those pens!
  12. 1-0 to the oz after 35 minutes! timmy is playing. goal came from Bresciano. how they playing pat?
  13. I don't think Moyes would leave Everton any time soon unless forced. he seems to enjoy it at the club and has a grounding to push things forward. For any manager the ideal job has got to be (apart from Chelsea) at a club that have a good history and a lot of fans but need a lot of work and players replacing. while we still don't have the money he could do with we've had a bit and he's had a chance to improve the squad and move us up the league. As any RS would inform us, he's not won us anything though so this has to be a goal, he's got a lot of goals to reach and a lot more work to do but I think he's probably enjoying his job as it is. realistically would any of you move from any premiership side to a scottish side in championship manager?!?!! EXCATLY! i'm sure Rangers would love to have him, but it will never happen.
  14. If we keep up the momentum of improvement that we've been seeing I think we'll win, ideally by more than 1 goal! 2 or maybe ever 3 would be brilliant. clean sheet vital. 2-0 with beattie and yes VDM to score.
  15. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...pur/4434618.stm not content with their current midfield spurs are now keeping an eye on Arjen Robben at Chelsea! he is a brilliant player but come on when will spurs be happy with the midfield players they've already got!
  16. blimey. timmy didn't play. anyone know why he was left out? does the oz boss of a beef with the fact that he didn't play in their last game and has been pulled out as much as possible by moyes? looks like it was a close game. 1-0 down going into the home leg.
  17. we were alright. boro never looked like scoring, partly due to their own poor attacking in the last third and partly due to some excellent defending, especially from joey and hibbert. hibbert had a cracking game. some good attacking at times especially when arteta was on the ball. vdm was excellent at times, a couple of times tried to be too fancy but put some lovely balls in, including the one that set the goal up. clearly still not fully fit though. beattie worked hard and deserved a goal, shame he messed up the chance he had to finish the game towards the end. mcfadden was awful when he came on, not the kinda player you want to bring on when 1 up. he lost the ball, didn't pass it when he should have been, made silly challenges and when played in beautifuly by beattie failed to make a pass to set up bent, opting to try a poor poor shot. i don't like to dig into him but it's really not gonna work out. some twitchy moments but all in all some possitive signs and a good result. hopefully we continue to improve. also didn't like the way we let ourselves get under pressure in the last 15. mikeo nice idea but you've clearly never seen the prices of the condor ferry! and you've clearly not seen the state of the sea today either! nearly didn't get to see the game as the local had had it's satellite blown out of position and the game was getting chopped up! had to do a quick runner to another pub! they had 4 3pm games on the box in that one yesterday! crazy!
  18. anyone see radzinski's corker of screw up on an open goal in the Fulham game today? with david james up front in the last minute for a free kick city pump the ball up into the box. james swings at a shot and misses the ball leaving fulham to break full speed towards 2 defenders and an open goal! the winger plays radz into an open goal and radz cocks it from 18 yards with a weak lil tap that gets cleared away! cracking stuff!
  19. cheers mate, my locals got most of those channels so that's cool! i'm not in Ireland though!
  20. 1995 FA Cup final, i was 11 years old and far too short to see what rideout was up to once the ball had crossed the half way line but when the crowd went wild I knew it had to be good! the rest of the game was very nerve racking and game wasn't great but the result was amazing and the aftermarth, seeing the lads pick up the trophy, the lap of honour and the celebrations before doing a runner for the underground to get to the airport for home. bitter united fans telling me to enjoy it cause i'd never be back. COYB let's prove those bitter reds wrong!
  21. oh well, sure it'll be on down the pub!
  22. just be thankful it's not a 4pm kick off pat!
