Early days I know but do you think he's is going to be a big hit here. And by big hit I mean have the same impact as Cahill and Arteta. I know a few of you have your doubts. Early days though. Personally, I've liked glimpses of what I've seen although I'm not sure if he is going to justify the £15m.

For me he is an absolutely fantastic finisher - certainly one of the best we've had in the last 20 years. I don't think there is much else to his game though. He isn't great at holding the ball up, doesn't really create or anything - just a lean mean scoring machine. That's fine for me though. I think we need a more creative forward alongside him though (or Tiny Tim).

Agreed with Stoke team. I think Saha is injured actually (surprise) though so I'd replace him him with Jimmy. If we can't beat Stoke with that team (which is pretty much our strongest baring Cahill) then we should all go home now.

Moyesy doesn't see Fellatio (think that should be his name now) as a holding player interestingly. So I wonder how he fits in the dynamic of the team? He doesn't have a massive goal return so I can't see him playing as advanced as TC. Don't think its a slap in the face for Vaughany. We need more than 2 strikers at the club. Competition doesn't mean that Moyes doesn't rate the kid. He is still very young though and is injury prone. I think if you were to ask DM on the quiet he would say that James Vaughan has the most ability of ALL the strikers in the club.

£10-12m is too much for Milner. If Faddy was £5.5m then Milner is worth no more than £7-8m. Solid player but not spectacular. Would have preffered SWP by a long way.

I think its clear that we spent the budget on Yakubu last Christmas... Never heard of the guy but he's welcome and sounds like the kind of player we need. He isn't huge though - 5'11 and seems fairly slight.

He is a good player but the Chelsea midfield is spectacular. I can't think of a better midfield in the world: Deco, Lampard, Ballack, Essien And on the bench Malouda, Joe Cole etc etc... He was a £20m player not long ago - he must have something about him!
