Cahill is flying to Oz on Wednesdays to play in the world cup qualifiers so he won't be able to play. Yak and Yobo are straight back from Africa so will be knackered. Pienaar is injured. Fucking ridiculous. We are having to play such a weakend team. Need AJ and Arteta to step up, I've really not been impressed with either of them this season.

I don't see Arshavin as a forward. He can play there but he is really an attacking midfielder. I've seen him on the wings too and he was excellent. I'm trying to think of a player to best describe him. Riquelme with grit possibly? I see... Absolutely agree. I've said many a time that (although I think Tim is great) the rest of his game isn't up to the quality of this team. I think Arshavin would score quite a few goals himself but would help generate many more. He would also help us play 'keep ball' when we are in the lead and just need to keep the ball away from the opposition. I do think Tim is fantastic and he would be a truly awesome impact sub but we need to start moving onwards and I think (goals aside) we carry him a little.

Rumours today that if we get rid of McFadden we will make a bid for Arshavin. That would be unbelievable - the guy is absolute quality. Not entirely sure how we fit Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Fernandes, Osman, Arshavin and Carsley in the same side but its a nice problem!

I know this is upset a few of you but I really don't think there is much chance of us finishing fourth this year. Discuss.

Really pleased with this win. Some key players away and Man City are totally revitalised team. It keeps us in the running for the 4/5 place. Its very competitive though. Shitty, redshites and vanilla all have more resources than us.
