I really want Jags to do well, he seems a top lad. However his performances lately have been awful - he gives the ball away so much in midfield. Are we just playing him in the wrong position or is he a dud? Personally, I'd like to se him at right back.

I have faith. That's what I was trying to say. I don't want him running lost causes in the channels - I want him in the box! Same with AJ - he should playing on the defenders shoulder, ready to turn them, not like a dog chasing a ball round a field. We need someone that can pass to feet in central midfield.

Sell Jags? How about playing him in his correct f'ing position? i.e. right back. People seem to forget he is a capped international at right back which is more than can be said for Mr Tony Distribution Hibbert.

If we got Appiah and Riquelme I would genuinely make a horribe mess on the floor. However..... We have a lot of new players and it will take time for them to settle down and for Moyes to determine our best line up and tactics with the players. If we had Appiah and Riquelme can you be certain what the line up would be? I'm not! Something like... Howard Jags Lescott Yobo Baines Arteta Riquelme Appiah Pienaar Johnson Yakubu Wow that sounds strong! But do you leave out Cahil, Neville (the team captain), Hibbert, Tommy Gun, Vaughan (!) etc etc. Its a hard call. He maybe tempted to play that kind of line up in Europe and have more battlers in the premiership. Looks like we are defo playing 4-4-2 this season anyway. Personally I'd be very suprised if we got either of the newbies though.

I've been banging on about this guy for ages. Would love him here! Fernandes was quality but I never thought he would be the tough tackling driving force we need (in a Viera stylee). He would also save cost a lost less than Fernandez. Perhaps we could use that money to buy a decent winger (the last one was years ago!). Imagine a midfield like this: Arteta Appiah Cahill A.winger (SWP?) Quality!

To conclude my first post: Howard Jags Lescott Yobo Baines Arteta Fernandes Cahill A.Winger Johnson Yakubu We are really nearly there. If we can get a good winger than our first 11 look very strong. I'd say stronger than any team outside the top 4 to be honest. I suppose with £20m spent on Yak and Fernades its too much to ask for SWP?

I desperately want Manny here but I don't think he is the dynamic holding player (think Carsley on steroids) that we need. Wonder if Sissoko is worth a punt as he doesn't seem to be getting loads of games with the shite? Don't shoot me down - I know what happened a couple of summers ago.

His first touch is a bit heavy but the guy is only 18 and will improve over time. I think he is a real handful - defenders hate playing against him. When he has the ball at feet in the penalty area - you aren't going to get the ball off him! He is sooo strong! He looks to have a bit of a hard side too. He is not frightened by anyone. He absolutely battered that Boulha-asomething guy from Chelsea last season. Man. I love our team!

I'm usually very anti ossie but he was excellent tonight. Thought Arteta was a little quiet (although still class). AJ ran his absolute socks off but had quite a few chances - I would have expecting him to get one tonight with all those. Defense were excellent. So nice to have a keeper that doesn't scare me. All the talkk is about Spurs on Sky - where are our plaudits? Where are the people saying we can run the top teams close?

That's not what I meant. I meant why not enquire after Yak, Martins, Joey G, Saha etc. At least we aren't putting all our effort in a player that might not want to come here.

Newcastle have a thousand strikers now - any chance we could get Martins rather than the Yak? I think he is a much better player. I suppose wages might be an issue. Can we not just bombard different clubs with enquiries and see what happens? Do we have focus on individual players? It seems that we pin all our hopes on one player at a time. Also, anyone rate Tom Huddlestone - he's not in the spurs line up today and I think he is a tidy player.

And for £8m which is a much better deal than the Yak. They are talking about £80k a week though which is WAY too much if true.
