  1. You're very right. Lovely first touch and is a good person to bring other players in the game as the ball can stick with him when we punt it up field (hibbo, neville etc!). As I say though he is not really that creative. We need some flair, pace and trickery!
  2. I'd like Mikey Owen here but I dont think he is the answer. We need a creative forward that can create something on their own. i.e. a Berghamp type player. Actualy a forward with a first touch wouldn't go a miss because we don't have one!
  3. What a load of balls! List A would cost nearly £50m. List B - there is no pace in that list!
  4. Why have you written every word in Pascal case? Its a little strange!
  5. Henry. Do we want him? Could we afford him? Would he come anyway? I would imagine possibly (too old?), no, no. I'm desperate for us to get someone with pace that can beat a player. Lennon would be a good shout.
  6. Birmingham. ... Away. Have a sneaking suspicion we will lose this. Lose. Chelsea. ......... Home. Think we will battle to a draw. Draw. Aston Villa. ...... Home. Think we could edge in here. Win. Arsenal. .......... Away. A loss. Lose. Newcastle. ....... Home. Could see a loss here too. Lose That's 3 losses, a draw and a win. No confident!
  7. Here you go: http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=86580 Its on TribalFootball thank god. Please don't let it be true! I think I prefer the shite to him!
  8. Just seen a report linking us with him. Please god no. I cannot stand this excuse for a man. What a twat.
  9. Someone please tell me how Yak missed that shot from a yard? ???
  10. Good players but our BEST players are foreign.
  11. And yet the majority of our best players are foreign (Lescott aside)... Yak, Peanuts, OurTeta, Yobo...
  12. We were shite and Liverpool deserved to win. HOWEVER. That was a blatant stamp by Gerrard. You can always move out of those tackles if you really want.
  13. Never heard of him. Would love someone of Essien's ability here. He is absolutely ideal for what we need. Did you know Moyes try to sign a few years back for £4m. We just missed out apparently!
  14. It's not what I meant, I don't expect a 19 year old to change the game for us. However, I do expect a 19 year old to be so excited and thrilled to be playing in a top game at the most exciting time of the game, to run his ass off and put himself about! If I was was in his shoes I'd be thinking 'wow, I can really help my team here and win something amazing. I'll be seen as such a hero! Better give the defenders a torrid time!'
  15. I think everyone must have been watching different games, no one seems oto agree. I thought Yakubu played well! I thought he looked dangerous and caused them quite a few problems (as did AJ). I was very disappointed with Anichebe though. Here is your chance to turn around a massive game at the age of 19 and he couldn't be bothered. With his power he should have really put himself about and done some damage. I think it was the right subsituion by Moyes to make but the player was shite. Perhaps we don't have the options we need from the bench after all? Vaughan would have been the man to bring on to create some hussle and stretch some tired defenders.
  16. Really? From the admittedly small amount I've seen him I thought he looked quite solid (and very good coming forward!). Centre mind is probably more of a priority anyway! We need to blend Arteta's technical ability, Carsley's tacking with Yakubu physique and AJ's work rate and we have the player we need! Easy!
  17. I was a little disappointed with Anichebe last night to be honest. He offered very little. We really needed someone to inject fresh energy and he didn't really do it. We really needed to bring Vaughan's pace and enthusiasm on. Shame he has no knees.
  18. Apparently the Chelsea right back is unsettled (can't think of his name). I was very impressed with him in the carling cup. Would be loads of money?
  19. Firstly let me start by saying me how proud of the guys I was last night. We were superb and could have won the tie easily 5-0. 4-4-2 I'm convinced we know how to play this now. We've struggled in the past but the side looked really balanced and fluid last night. AJ My faith has been restored in the wee man. He caused them all kinds of problems and I thought he linked up well with Yak Defence Jags has been awesome lately but wasn't that impressed with Yobo last night (some terrible clearences and seems to get flustered). I'd like to see Neville, Jags, Lescott, Baines So...the big question is...how do we bridge the gap for beating the top teams and winning games outright like last night (with extra time we really should hae scored again). The difficulty is that we have a good team now but we need to replace good players with great players.
  20. Alonso is a great player but is performing poorly at the moment. He probably realises that he plays with a bunch of n*bs. Flamini is a great little player. Not world class but we are hardly shopping in those arena's are? There is no world class player at Everton.
  21. Realistically take your pick from any of the following: Arshavin SWP Appiah X.Alonso Flamini Sidwell Bentley G. Johnson Failing that...Deco, Messi, Ronaldo, Gerrard, Torres, D.Villa
  22. We look absolutely petrified last night. Where had all the confidence gone? Truly awful. We needed to keep possession and we were never going to do that with Hibbert, Neville and Carlsey all playing. It was back to Everton of old - like we hadn't progressed at all. We need to replace f*cking Phil Neville! God, I'm angry! Everytime we had the ball we just kicked it back to them!
  23. Kinda wish I hadn't started the thread now! On paper Liverpool probably have a better team mainly because they have 2 genuine world class players. We have some good players but I don't think any of them are world class (Lescott has the most potential IMHO). But. And I really mean this. They are a bunch of tw*ts. We are the ones exceeding ourselves. We are the ones with a real team ethos. We are the ones going forward despite overwhelming financial differences. We are the ones having to rebuild our club after our finest period was ruined by Liverpool. I am desperatly proud of my team and the way they conduct themselves rather than over at Liverpool where they are whinging, cheating get's. I believe in every area we are more successful. We have a much less egotistical team. We are better ambassadors. Our points per £ spent is vastly superior. We are the ones continually improving. Do I think I've made myself clear?
  24. Reina ? Yobo Jags Lescott Arteta Gerrard Mascherano Pienaar Torres Yakubu Pointless I know, I was just interested to see how many of our players would get into the Kopshite side.
  25. I'm usually very critical of Tim but was well pleased with him yesterday. He seems to have added a bit more to his game over the last couple of weeks which is very pleasing. The boy sure can cover ground too.
