  1. http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?HLID=35...ball_Home&f=rss "There are a few clubs interested in Sanel," Schreier told skysports.com. "Aston Villa have expressed an interest and so have Fulham, but I am waiting for them to come back to me. "I have spoken to David Moyes and he said he is looking for such a player as Sanel."
  2. Bellamey's a prick as well - but I wish we had him in our frontline about now. I don't care if Anelka comes for 18months scores plenty of goals then moves on to be honest. I just want somebody with pace and can score goals. F8ck it at this moment someone doing it for the rest of this season only would do me right now. If we got him for aroubd £5m and he only hung around for a year we would lose very little money on him. He is a class player to be honest
  3. I hope he is coming - as he is still only young, has proven Prem ability and is very fast - which is something we need if only to streach opposition defences. At present all teams know we have very little pace going forward so can 'squeeze' us up the park. With Anelka in our front line they would have to defend a little deeper-giving out team more time on the ball and space to go forward. A pacy Anelka and a strong Beattie would be a good combinnation up front for us. Anelka has lived in the area before (Liverpool/Manchester) so settling in should not be a big issue with him.
  4. Out of interest - Anelka's stats for discussion A G Paris Saint-Germain 1995-1997 2000-2001 67 12 Arsenal 1997 1999 76 25 Real Madrid 1999 2000 19 2 Liverpool (Loan) 2001 2002 22 5 Manchester City 2002 2005 103 46 Fenerbahce 2005 Now 35 10 Total Goal - 100 in 322 appearences He is only 26 so his first stint in PSG was as a 16-18 year old and don't think he scored many in the first 2 years. Also his load of sub appearences at Real Madrid also skew the stats a little
  5. If we turn anymore corners this season - we will have been around the block!!!
  6. Gravs isn't going to be sold for more than the £2.5M we got for him anyhow. Read today that Newcastle are interested in Gravs oh and Anelka too. What a surprise. But do you think Sheapard would give Souness any more money to waste in this transfer window?
  7. I think the only money available to Moyes is possibiley that which may be earmarked for summer transfer - In real terms there is no money available this window - but you could always break in to next summers budget if a player Moyes would be looking to bring to Goodison next summer is available now. That's the only sence I can make of not having any money and then saying we are interested in Anelka. i.e the club won't part with say £3M for Earnshaw now and Anelka, Johnson or Keane in the summer for say £5M. God, I would love to be privy to all the ins and outs of this transfer goings on.
  8. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/premi...on&PREV_SEASON= I have to say I was a big fan of his before he moved to West Brom - But he doesn't seem to get a look in. I am not to sure now - is it becasue he not up to the Prem. Thing is he scores 14 goals last season and a lot of the time was on the subs bench - At this moment in time I would be happy to have a player getting 14 goals for us. I am not convinced he would be the right option - especially if WBA want £3M back for him - I would cheer him on if he did come to Goodison, but I think I would rather Moyes take a £2M punt on Cameron Jerome. I hear he had a good game against Arsenal - and give their back four a hard time for 90 mins.
  9. Bought the wrong player - come on get real - I have heard some rubbish in my time.
  10. Well if we get through the 3rd. The toughest draw in the 4th round would be away to Chelsea, and the second toughest being home to Cheslea. So it could have been worst If I don't laugh I would cry - roll on next season
  11. To be honest a draw away to a Championship team in the FA Cup is a decent enough result to be honest. Lower teams, especially when they are at home are real banana skins. No need to name names, but a lot of Prem teams found that out this weekend against a lot lower team than Millwall. Millwall's keeper was man of the match and was keeper of the 3rd round, so that says a lot considering now lots of lower league keepers tend to play out of there skin on 3rd round week. We are in no other competitions other than the FA cup and league - so even if we drew every FA cup away game we play this season - and brought them to a tie in Goodison, is all good for the clubs coffers to be honest. We have a busy Xmas period - but not many weeks now when we have to play 2 games a week.
  12. He would be eligible because he hasn't played in it for us has he? Strange one this Kroldroup situation - There have been so many stories and rumours that its difficult to actually see what the truth is with him. - Is he struggling with life on Mersyside on a personnal level - is he depressed because of the injuries, - is he sh1t like some are saying, - does he just need a run in Prem football to sort out any or all of the above. I guess as a new player you would feel a bit left out if you join a club (know nobody and spend no time training with your new team mates). I don't know, I could see why he would be a bit depressed with life in Liverpool at the moment. If the above is the situation them maybe a move back would suit all parties.
  13. Except he is reported to fancy a move to the Prem. So if that is true than that rules out all of the above.
  14. Successful Prem player playing abroad? Forlan, Postiga and Kezman not exactely successful - Leaves Anelka, Wiltord, Paulo Di Cannio, Larssen maybe - Its a bit of a mystery come on name as many successful prem player now playing abroad.
  15. With all the talk of big investment at Pompey over the last week- Do you think going to there place next weeks is going to be bad timing. If there are a few new faces or money in the bank, and a sugur daddy watching the first Prem game - I get the horrible feeling there team could put on the performance of the season. A week ago I would have really fancied out chances of picking up away three point. Are the Gods against us - we seem to be playing most teams at the wrong time this season.
  16. http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=31...lid=163&cpid=22 Only on contract to the summer - so should be cheapish
  17. http://www.evertonians.net/News/Club-2004-...p-06-01-06.html Sounds as if he can find the back of the net - But is always to old will he settle and cut it in the Prem with foreigners who have never played in England before. always a risk.
  18. Think we only looked at him in case Dunc through the towel in this January. Now he looks as if he is going to 'soldier' on until the summer. I am happy with that

  20. A projected budget must have been prepared for the season - with a fair few million set aside for transfers (say up to £10M) But going out of the CL, then the UEFA Cup and the Carling Cup at the very first hurdle, and stuck in the bottom half of the table, is likley to have wiped out £7-8M estimated revenue already. Such failure so far this year has probabley shocked the management as much as us. Just the way it is, and I am not suprised the purse strings have tighten somewhat, we don't have a russian millionaire yet, so books have to balanced a little better.
  21. Tend to agree Zed - he was decent for most of his time - Excellent for 6 months
  22. Just read the article that seem to be fueling this speculation - "... Everton as on the verge of signing a striker from abroad with impressive Premiership pedegree.." Paulo di Canio If that all there is to go on then he could be just as likley Anymore idea from that quote?
  23. Have my doubts to be honest- Anelka says he fancies coming back to the Prem - Everton need a striker. A case of 'two and two' to me. Anelka is in the £5M+ bracket - I am lead to believe we don't have much to work with on this front. To me Moyes places as much on a players character and temprement as he does playing ability. Would he wan't a player nicknames 'Le Sulk'. So there are three fairly good reasons why I am not going to get to excited just yet. As a striker Anelka is top draw in my opinion - He is still only 26 years old (in his prime), fast as hell, and has proved himself at Prem level as good as any most strikers, he would definately score goal. Thing is with Anelka he always seems to want to play for a top club, and sees all other clubs as a stepping stone. If he did come, would he just be trying to put himslef in the shop window, or has he come to terms with playing for a middle of the road club. In any case if he came for £6M, scored 15-20 goals a season and then wanted to go after 12 months, I guess we wouldn't lose much money - and get a fair goals return in a 12 month period. If we turned around a striker like that every season it wouldn't bother me as long as somebody is scoring. I would have him at the club, just becasue of the last sentance to be honest - But I can't see this deal coming off in all honesty. Does he still figure in the French squad? and is he fishing to get on the plane to Germany
  24. I don't think it is just money to be honest - Pains me as a say, but bigger and more succesful comes in to the equation as well. At the moment big and successful we are not. I must be honest wouldn't like to see Grav's coming to Goodison in another teams colours. But if we have really only got limited funds to bring players in, a striker or two is a must with Grav's a luxery we probabley can't afford.
  25. Hopefully - Evertons transfer dealings are like a duck in water. Not much visable movment - but out of site working like f*ck.
